Even though Avengers: Infinity War was by the far the bloodthirstiest Marvel movie of the lot, wiping out many of the franchise’s most popular heroes, we imagine next year’s Avengers 4 will take out even more. In fact, one person we’ve been expecting to bow out of the McU after this movie is Chris Evans’ Steve Rogers, as the actor has teased his exit for a long time now.
If that does come to pass, then the Captain America mantle could well be given to one of his best pals – Sam Wilson and Bucky Barnes – as in the comics. But which one would it be? Most fans support the idea that Bucky should take over from Steve, as the friends go back so long and Sergeant Barnes still needs to redeem himself for his past actions as a brainwashed assassin for Hydra.

Avengers: Infinity War and next year’s Avengers 4 are being promoted as the final chapters of the first ten years of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but there’s no chance they’ll be the last movies in the franchise overall. The McU‘s health is ruder than ever and Kevin Feige has even teased that the release schedule is already worked out until at least 2025.
Speaking of which, in a recent interview with the AP, the Marvel Studios President hinted at where some of the most prominent icons of the franchise could go next, reminding us that there’s so much left from the comics to mine.
“There are still things that are key elements to a lot of our characters in their comic incarnations that we haven’t even done yet for characters who have had three or four movies,” Feige said. “It is an amazing wealth of creative material to pull from.

Are you confused about the “Avengers” timeline? No problem! The cast of “Infinity War” dropped by the “Tonight Show” Wednesday to teach us all how they came together in the simplest way possible: with a parody of the “Brady Bunch” theme song. Led by Tony Stark aka Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.), obviously, who was accompanied by his Marvel family.
“Here’s the story of a playboy genius, who was gearing up to form some sort of crew,” Downey sings, as his head appears on screen in the classic sitcom’s iconic blue block credits format.

“One’s a former Russian spy,” Scarlett Johansson (Black Widow) adds. “A god of thunder,” Chris Hemsworth (Thor) sings. “One fought in World War II,” Chris Evans (Captain America) chimes in.
Then Chris Pratt gets to open his side of the “Marvel Bunch” tale with, “It’s the story of a handsome Star-Lord like the greatest whoever walked the Earth — by far.” “And falcon,” Sam Wilson (Falcon, obvs) croons. “A magic doctor,” Benedict Cumberbatch (Doctor Strange) hums. “Wakanda for-ever!” Chadwick Boseman (Black Panther) shouts.
And then, well, you just wait to see how it all turns out. Oh, the theme song we mean. “Infinity War”? Yeah, that we’re not gonna spoil here.

Avengers: Infinity War is finally here. The event movie of the year has begun opening worldwide and, to celebrate the arrival of the biggest Marvel film to date, the studio have released 12 HD stills from various parts of the flick. Don’t worry, though, Kevin Feige and co. know what they’re doing and have only chosen moments we’ve already seen in the trailers, so there’s no chance of spoilers.
That being said, let’s see if we can try and pull together the plot from these photos. The Hulk begins the movie on the ruined Asgardian refugee ship, which is where he’ll first encounter Thanos. After the Mad Titan’s attack, Thor will end up with the Guardians of the Galaxy (as seen in the image).

Wow. Ten years. Really? Must be since they incorporated the fact into their logo, so it’s gotta’ be true. So, time really zips by when you’re having fun. And fun is the often overused word when it comes to the prolific (19 and counting) output of Marvel Studios. Like many great achievements, people scoffed at first. That comic book juggernaut, nicknamed the “House of Ideas” by Stan “the man” Lee decades ago, thought the best way to bring their big staple of characters and properties to cinemas would be to make the films themselves. Or at least they’d make sure their beloved heroes would be portrayed with respect to the source material, and would delight their millions of fans across the globe. That scoffing came from movie reporters and analysts who thought this was pure folly. After all, Marvel’s biggest stars, the X-Men and Spider-Man, were off-limits,...

Hollywood Heroes™: It was all building up to this. Ever since the Marvel Cinematic Universe was launched with Iron Man, there has been a a slow progression towards an endgame. Now, this week, the McU has it with Avengers: Infinity War. Part one of a culmination of everything Kevin Feige has envisioned, this truly is a one of a kind epic. Nothing will be the same after this. The fact that Marvel’s honchos are even keeping the title of the next Avengers movie a secret (due to its inherently spoiler type nature) means something. With just a few days to go until audiences the world over lay eyes on it, anticipation is at a fever pitch. Once again, the film is a culmination of all that the McU has built so far. Marvel Studios describes it as such: “As the Avengers and their allies have continued to protect...

Is it possible to have too much of a good Marvel thing? Avengers: Infinity War tests that theory to the max. Don't get me wrong: This movie is an epic event, built to celebrate the end of a decade in which the Marvel Cinematic Universe produced 19 films. One problem is that No. 18, Black Panther, casts a long shadow – it's arguably the best in the series, an unqualified triumph and could perhaps be the first realistic Marvel contender for a Best Picture Oscar. The McU's first black-superhero film is also...

Marvel’s Avengers: Infinity War is filled with so many plot twists and genuine surprises that it’s almost impossible to spoil entirely. Or so says Anthony Mackie.
The Falcon actor is currently in attendance at CinemaCon in Las Vegas, where Cinema Blend caught up with him to discuss Sam Wilson, Earth’s Mightiest Heroes and the finer details that make up Infinity War. Of course, Mackie wasn’t at liberty to reveal everything – remember, Thanos demands our silence – but he did present an interesting perspective on spoiler culture and why it isn’t likely to have much of a bearing on Marvel’s third Avengers movie.
Put simply, Anthony Mackie believes Infinity War is too big to spoil in the sense that one tiny plot point – one scene description, one revelation about the fate of one character – won’t necessarily take away from the overall experience as “the 0ther...

And it turns out he’s not all that fussed on the idea.
As any Marvel Comics enthusiast will tell you, the Winter Soldier ultimately picked up the shield to become the Sentinel of Liberty soon after Steve Rogers slipped off the grid – a path which led him towards Nomad, the lone wolf known for operating in that morally grey area between good and evil.
For the McU, things are a little different. For one, the man once known as the Winter Soldier has shed all ties to Hyrda to become the White Wolf – no thanks to the meticulous work of Black Panther‘s Shuri – thereby bestowing...

Impressive though it may be, the super-sized airport brawl of Captain America: Civil War will seem like small fry compared to the finale of Avengers: Infinity War.
At least, that’s according to Anthony Mackie, who told Good Morning America (h/t ComicBook.com) that the imminent sequel contains a fight sequence that spanned 25 pages in the original script – a script rustled up by Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely, who have already cut their teeth on The First Avenger, The Winter Soldier, and the aforementioned Civil War.
So at least on paper, Infinity War appears to be in safe hands, even if the mere thought of a 25-page fight sequence involving most, if not all of the Marvel Cinematic Universe is enough to leave us feeling a little overwhelmed. One Avenger it appears we can guarantee will make it through though is Sam Wilson Aka Falcon. While speaking hypothetically, Anthony Mackie said he thinks his character will be “totally safe” in Infinity War as he has his handy mechanized wings that allow him to fly above the heat of the battle when things get tough.
“I think Falcon falls into ‘you’re totally safe,’ because I fly. So the fact that I fly puts me above all the danger.

This is, after all, a movie which builds on 10 years’ worth of superhero drama for a crossover that is, frankly, unlike anything we’ve ever seen before. And at the heart of that mind-boggling operation is Thanos, Josh Brolin’s glowering Mad Titan who has since been described as the lead character of Marvel’s Infinity War.
His mission? To collect all six Infinity Stones and wipe out half of humanity – half of the frickin’ universe – in an effort to save his homeworld and restore balance to the universe. And though the Avengers aren’t prepared for such a colossal threat, Anthony Mackie recently weighed up Sam Wilson’s chances against the Mad Titan.

When Steve Rogers and Bucky Barnes reunite in Avengers: Infinity War, it should be a big moment. After all, the former risked everything to protect his best friend in the hopes that he could be cured of his Hydra brainwashing. Thanks to his stay in Wakanda, that faith has paid off, as the former Winter Soldier is now himself again. However, “Stucky” fans should know that the duo’s reunion in the movie will actually be very brief, due to the incredibly packed nature of the spectacle.
Sebastian Stan revealed that minor spoiler to members of the press during a set visit last year, saying that there simply wasn’t time for Steve and Bucky to share a heart-to-heart moment, what with the whole universe being at stake and everything.

There’s never been a movie quite like Avengers: Infinity War.
Sure, The Avengers and 2015’s Age of Ultron assembled vast swathes of Marvel characters in a similar fashion. But read between the lines and you’ll begin to realize that Infinity War is the culmination of a 10-year storyline – a 10-year legacy – that began with the humble release of Jon Favreau’s Iron Man movie all the way back in 2008.
It’s also unique in the sense that Thanos, the film’s primary antagonist and the one true source of chaos in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, has affected most, if not all of our leading heroes – either directly or indirectly – thereby giving them a reason to take up arms against the Mad Titan.
With that in mind, Sam Wilson (Falcon) himself, Anthony Mackie recently warned fans of the “shocking moments” to come in Avengers: Infinity War.
