Her first experience onstage was with Winnipeg's Theatre 77, an amateur
company named for the number of steps between the theatre and the
famous Portage & Main intersection.
Was married twice, and outlived both husbands.
She played Larry King's Jewish mother on "King of Kensington" (1975), a
role that suited her well. She grew up Jewish in an area of Winnipeg
with a large European immigrant population.
After retiring from show business in 1993, she became a poet and occasionally gave public readings of her verse. Her latest book was "From Sleeping Libido to Geriatric Erotica".
