Since its 2021 debut, "Yellowjackets" has had the best soundtrack on TV, and season 2 kept up the momentum across its nine-episode run. Half of "Yellowjackets" is set in the 1990s and so the soundtrack pulls mostly from that era, especially indie rock, pop punk, and grunge. Those styles congeal into "No Return," the show's hypnotic original theme crafted by Anna Waronker and Craig Wedren. It sounds like the kind of song the characters could have listened to as teenagers and one that hints at their dark descent.

Smashing Pumpkins should have been in high spirits heading into the making of their second LP. But according to Billy Corgan, the lead-up to Siamese Dream was one of the darkest chapters in the band’s history. “We were on tour, selling out everywhere we go,” the singer told Rolling Stone in 1995 of the period following their 1991 debut, Gish. “Everything went cool, fine, dandy. Suddenly, boom: Nirvana. We went from being seen as future stars almost to has-beens, people saying, ‘Well, if you were so good, this would have happened to you.

Billy Corgan has said that he will never reunite the original Smashing Pumpkins. The lineup on the band's first album Gish featured Corgan alongside drummer Jimmy Chamberlin, guitarist James Iha and bassist D'arcy Wretzky. Asked if the classic lineup of the group would ever return, Corgan told Rolling Stone: "No. That's just one of those things that are never going to happen. If you don't see somebody for a while, there's the old thing, 'Absence makes the heart grow fonder'. Well, we haven't had absence. "The things that have happened between us in the interim haven't been good. There's been lawsuits and lots of stupid stuff. It's only made it worse. If it was bad before, it's really bad now." He continued: "Jimmy and I aren't enemies - he's just off doing what he wants (more)...

Rocker D'arcy Wretzky's neighbor has spoken out in defense of the former The Smashing Pumpkins star after she was jailed for refusing to accept responsibility for her wild horses. The rocker is behind bars after missing a series of court appearances in relation to a 2009 animals running at large charge, after her horses broke free from her farm in Michigan.
Wretzky was cited for the incident but forgot to pay the fine and then skipped four consecutive court dates, leading to her arrest this week. But the bassist's neighbor, Debra Beebe, is baffled by the charge because the star's horses have only escaped from their enclosure once, and she's confident the incident has been blown out of proportion.
Beebe tells The Hollywood Reporter, "She and her horses have never bothered anyone here. I think this is overblown... Once when hers (horses) got out we helped them... But there have...

D'arcy Wretzky is kinda looking like a rat in a cage. The former Smashing Pumpkins bassist is locked up in her native Michigan and is scheduled to remain behind bars until Valentine's Day for, well, quite the reason. Not DUI, mind you. There are no "smashed Pumpkin" jokes ahead... Wretzky was taken into custody on a charge of...wait for it..."animals running at large." The musician was cited in 2009 for the minor infraction after the horses she kept on her farm broke free and bolted through her small town. According to Berrien County Animal Control, she never paid her fine and then missed four court dates, prompting authorities to arrest her Tuesday morning. A judge...

Ex-" Smashing Pumpkins " bassist D'arcy Wretzky is currently behind bars in Michigan -- and TMZ has learned, it's all because several horses on her farm broke free ... and ran amok in her town. The incident occurred back in 2009. D'arcy's ex-boyfriend Jeff Khoshaba tells us ... the horses somehow got out of their enclosures. The neighbors flipped out and called the cops. We're told D'arcy was ticketed for the crime of "Animals Running at Large" ... but she forgot to pay,...

Unless you count what he’s done to his career, Billy Corgan has never attempted suicide. Until recently, there were plenty of mornings when he’d wake up to a stark choice: “Go eat breakfast, or go kill yourself.” But it’s fortunate he never tried it, because the Smashing Pumpkins founder was always the least slacker-y of Nineties alt-rock heroes: He would’ve gotten it right the first time. “I never got close enough to actually try,” Corgan says, with flat assurance. “Because trying would have said, ‘I’m going to die.

After holding an open call to find a new drummer last March, Billy Corgan has announced that the Smashing Pumpkins have officially hired 19-year-old Portland, Oregon, native Mike Byrne to fill the position. Of note: Corgan originally formed the band in 1988, two years before Byrne was even born.
It seems like only yesterday when Corgan welcomed ex-drummer Jimmy Chamberlin back into the band, after banishing him from the group for three years due to his very public drug issues. The on-again, off-again relationship between the band mates and longtime friends showcased Corgan's notoriously difficult personality. After parting ways with original members James Iha and D'Arcy Wretzky, the Pumpkins have become little more than Corgan and a revolving door of replacements.
As for his take on Byrne, Corgan is excited. "Through the open audition process, I was astounded by how many great drummers there were that wanted the...

The Smashing Pumpkins have just become a one-man band. Drummer Jimmy Chamberlin has exited the group. Head squash Billy Corgan dropped the bomb without further explanation on the Pumpkins' website on Sunday. "Corgan will continue to write and record as Smashing Pumpkins with plans to head into the studio this spring," the message added. Chamberlin joined the Chicago-based band in 1988 and played on all their albums except Adore. The 44-year-old musician was previously booted from the Pumpkins in 1996, after overdosing on heroin. He rejoined the core lineup, which also included guitarist James Iha and bassist D'arcy Wretzky, after a stint in rehab. When their control-freak...
