Carole King is woven into the Gilmore Girls universe so much that it’s difficult to note her involvement. The singer not only cameoed, but she also was the voice behind the show’s iconic theme song. King also appeared in A Year in the Life and had a private concert with cast members.

Gilmore Girls ran from 2000 until it ended in 2007. Gg returned nine years after its ending for a special miniseries called Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life and brought back almost every cast member. Although King wasn’t a core cast member, she is still technically a huge part of it, and her appearance in an episode of the miniseries Ayitl proves that.
Lauren Graham, who played Lorelai Gilmore in the series, sat down with Sam Pancake to discuss her career.

Liza Weil is set to guest star on ABC Family's "Bunheads" when it returns from hiatus -- bringing the total number of "Gilmore Girls" actors to appear on the series to nine. We're loving Amy Sherman-Palladino's tendency to keep things all in the family, though it can't help those persistent comparisons that we keep seeing Stars Hollow townsfolk pop up!
Weil, who of course played the acerbic and iconic Paris Gellar for all seven seasons of "Gilmore," will play Milly, the sister of Truly (Stacey Oristano). As TVLine reports, the women are embroiled in a bit of a sibling rivalry.
(And yes, TV lovers, this means that in a fictional universe, Paris Gellar and Mindy Collette Riggins are related. We'll just take a moment to let that sink in.)
If you're keeping track, the six other "Gilmore" alumni on the show are Kelly Bishop (Emily Gilmore), Rose Abdoo...

Actor famous for her roles in blaxploitation films of the 1970s
The actor Vonetta McGee, who has died aged 65 after a cardiac arrest, was a heroine of 1970s blaxploitation movies, but I pursued her because she had also appeared in the greatest of all Italian westerns, Sergio Corbucci's Il Grande Silenzio (The Great Silence). The year was 1983, and I was in the fortunate position of having a feature to direct: Repo Man. The cast was a large one for a low-budget movie. It included all types: method actors from New York, punks from the La hardcore scene, disgruntled Hollywood character actors and refugees from the theatre, but only one star, as I soon discovered.
Not that Vonetta behaved in a "starry" fashion. She was completely approachable and a professional, always one of the team. Nevertheless, of all the actors in my film, Vonetta was the one with the credits.
