His name means “good luck” in Japanese — and apparently luck was with pup Yoshi when a man named Michael Lee Britton threw him into oncoming traffic.
According to Fox 35 News, who first reported the story, Yoshi survived a toss into a busy stretch of road in Ocala, Florida, by Britton, who was subsequently arrested and charged with animal cruelty, assault on a police officer and resisting arrest.
“He had said to somebody at the scene or jail, he was trying to put the dog out of its misery, because it had been shot with an arrow,” Ocala Police Lt. Brian Young told the station.

How long will Connor (guest star Todd Williams) last in Mystic Falls?
Connor is the latest hunter to crusade through Mystic Falls and in only one episode he’s made a major new enemy. Damon.
In Vampire Diaries Episode 4.03, “The Rager,” we’ll see more of Connor as well as the return of Rebekah. She got her neck ungracefully snapped by her brother Klaus in the Tvd Season 4 premiere. Needless to say, Rebekah will be stirring emotions at Mystic Falls High. In trying to kill Elena, she turned Elena into a vampire and nearly killed Matt. By the way, do any of these vamps look like they still belong in high school? Perhaps a time jump will be in order going into Vampire Diaries Season 5.
There was a time when I championed Matt and Rebekah as a couple, but she’s emotionally destructive. Sometimes she’s pro-Klaus, sometimes she’s anti-Klaus.

DVD Rating: 3.0/5.0 Chicago – Fountains of Wayne have always put together light, breezy pop tunes, so a set in the Windy City seems the perfect location for their first ever concert DVD, “Fountains of Wayne: No Better Place - Live in Chicago”. The 16-song performance runs less than an hour and amplifies the band’s most notable weakness as the songs all kind of start to sound the same, but fans should be thrilled to finally own a piece of Wayne’s world.
The case for “No Better Place” describes FoW as “champions of power pop” and this October 2005 show certainly stresses the poppy hooks that made the band one of the more popular live acts of the mid’-00s. Personally, every time they played in Chicago in the mid-section of this decade, I feel like I heard about it. They have a loyal fan base here, making the location...
