- After her marriage to Charles, she was entitled to use the style "Her Royal Highness The Princess of Wales", but (with the Queen's permission) she chose to be styled "The Duchess of Cornwall", the feminine version of her husband's second highest title. In Scotland, she was styled "The Duchess of Rothesay" since her husband is the Duke of Rothesay. She chose not to use the title "Princess of Wales" due to its strong associate with Charles' late first wife, Princess Diana.

- Clarence House announced after her wedding to Charles in 2005 that when he ascends the throne as expected, she would use the title "The Princess Consort" rather than queen consort. As "The Princess Consort" she would have the style of "Her Royal Highness" instead of the higher style of "Her Majesty", and likely wouldn't be crowned and anointed alongside Charles at his coronation. It was unclear if such a change could even be made without the approval of Parliament, as per common law the wife of the king automatically becomes the queen consort; in 1820, it was established that King George IV didn't have the authority to deprive his estranged wife of the title of queen. In 2022, Camilla's mother-in-law Queen Elizabeth II stated it was her "sincere wish" that Camilla use the title queen consort when Charles ascends, and Camilla acknowledged she would use it.
- Became queen consort of the United Kingdom and the Commonwealth realms on September 8, 2022, following the ascension of her husband, King Charles III, to the British throne.
- Upon the ascension of her husband Charles to the throne, Camilla's official style was announced as "Her Majesty The Queen Consort", which was slightly unusual as "consort" is usually a description and not part of a formal title, and most queens consort are referred to as simply "The Queen". This change was presumably so she would not have the exact same style as her late mother-in-law, Queen Elizabeth II, so soon after her death. A consort title was also not unprecedented--Prince Albert, the husband of Queen Victoria, was formally styled "The Prince Consort". Following the coronation the next year, "consort" was dropped and she was styled as "The Queen".
- At 75, she is the oldest person to assume the role of English or British consort, surpassing Alexandra of Denmark who became queen consort at 56 in 1901.
- She is the great-granddaughter of Alice Keppel (born Edmonstone), who was the mistress of King Edward VII, beginning when he was Prince of Wales. Edward is also the great-great-grandfather of her husband Charles.
- Born at 7:10 AM (BDST).
- She is the first English or British consort to have been divorced, but she is not the first queen consort to have a living former husband when she became queen -- Eleanor of Aquitaine, the consort of King Henry II (reigned 1154-1189), had previously married King Louis VII of France but the marriage was annulled after they had been married for 15 years and had two children.
- Rather than having her own custom consort crown created, which had been the precedent since Queen Adelaide was crowned in 1831, she chose to be crowned with the crown of Queen Mary.
- Crowned with her husband King Charles III during The Coronation and Crowning of King Charles III & Queen Camilla (2023) on May 6 2023.
