British royal Sarah Ferguson is facing a $30,000 (£20,000) lawsuit over a failed bid to stop a controversial book from hitting U.K. shelves.
Journalist Chris Rogers interviewed the royal for Under Cover, a book on the subject of orphanages, and Ferguson even agreed to write the preface for the tome, based on her experience at a Turkish orphanage for a TV documentary last year.
However, her expose sparked controversy - with officials from Turkey demanding Ferguson be extradited for breaching laws by filming minors at the home, and the royal filed legal documents to try and stop Rogers' book from being published.
Rogers agreed an out-of-court settlement with Ferguson in December, but her lawyers reportedly failed to lodge the necessary paperwork at London's High Court.
Now the writer has submitted a bid to recoup his legal fees and court costs, according to Britain's Mail on Sunday.
