Hook followed Ethan Page up the arena steps, fighting each other among the fans. Hook clubbed Page with cross face strikes. Another week, another episode of Aew: Dark which this week features seven matches – matching this week’s Elevation. Let’s see what went down…
Match #1: Ar Fox def. Peter Avalon
My Thoughts: Well this was a surprisingly great opener. Ar Fox has been a fantastic addition to the Aew roster – you just have to look at this match, where he and Peter Avalon worked brilliantly together to see that. Kudos to Avalon too, whose recently shed the more comedic aspects of his wrestling persona to great aplomb. A solid opening match.
My Score: 3 out of 5 Match #2: Willie Mack def. Serpentico
My Thoughts: Willie Mack should’ve ended this one fast and decisively but he didn’t, he actually sold Serpentico’s offence on his knee – even after the match ended. The sign of a true professional. As always Serpentico wrestled better in a singles match than he ever...

Welcome back to another review of Aew Dark: Elevation, which features just matches this week. We’ve got regulars Paul Wight and Matt Menard on commentary as usual. So let’s get into the review!
Match #1: Tony Nese and Ari Daivari def. Lane Summers and Campbell Myers
My Thoughts: This was an incredibly dull opening match and a squash match at that too. Nese and Daivari are, unfortunately, pretty much charisma-free and that doesn’t help their matches in the slightest; and with this match we didn’t even get any words from Mark Sterling to cover that fact up!
My Score: 1 out of 5 Match #2: Nyla Rose and Marina Shafir def. Briar and Sage Hale
My Thoughts: This was another squash match from the team of Rose and Shafir. Interestingly, Jon Moxley revealed on a podcast this week that he’s been working with Shafir to try and...

We had another Aew pay-per-view this past weekend, so you know what that means… A bonus Saturday episode of Aew: Dark which thankfully only features a handful of matches rather than the growing number of the regular Dark features! Anyway, on with the review…
Match #1: The Acclaimed def. The Workhorsemen
My Thoughts: A great start to this special extra episode of Dark, with one of my favourite tag teams taking on one of Aew’s most popular tag teams in a match that ended up being a exciting back and forth that thankfully didn’t have The Workhorsemen just lying down and eating the pin.
My Score: 3.5 out of 5 Match #2: Daniel Garcia def. Aaron Solo
My Thoughts: And I could say the exact same thing I said about the opening match for this one too… Aaron Solo and Daniel Garcia matched up really well, with Solo looking his...

Another week, another episode of Aew: Dark which this week features Fourteen matches, though we also get some of Aew’s bigger stars on the show, which makes up for the ridiculous amount of matches Imho. Anyway, on with the review…
Match #1: Action Andretti def. Tony Deppen
My Thoughts: Action Andretti continues his winning streak in this opening match, though why Deppen was allowed to get as much offence as he did – especially against the guy that beat Chris Jericho in his debut. Still, a great start to this week’s Dark.
My Score: 3 out of 5 Match #2: Evil Uno def. J. Spade
My Thoughts: Evil Uno’s turning to the dark side continues… I sincerely hope this new vicious streak continues and we get a stronger, more dominant Dark Order too. Shame the audience wasn’t into this one though.
My Score: 2 out of 5 Match #3: Parker Boudreaux def.

Match #1: Aew All-Atlantic Championship – Orange Cassidy def. Wheeler Yuta The following is courtesy of allelitewrestling.com:
Yuta and Cassidy countered one another with a plethora of pinning combinations. Wheeler used a front leg sweep on Orange. Yuta rolled up Orange for a near fall. Cassidy used Yuta’s pinning technique, the seatbelt, for a two-count on Wheeler. Claudio Castagnoli came out to ringside and didn’t look so happy. Claudio gave a pep talk to Yuta in the form of a slap to Yuta’s face. Yuta nailed Orange with a tope and then whipped Orange into the barricades. Match #1: Juice Robinson def. Fuego del Sol
My Thoughts: Fuego del Sol going up against Juice Robinson? I’m not sure if Fuego has had a come-up or Robinson has had a step-down. But given Robinson’s high profile in Japan I didn’t expect him to be wrestling Any matches on YouTube for Aew… but hey, I don’t know everything. Still a decent match-up and Fuego at least is back working again – dude’s been missed Imho.

Match #1: The Blackpool Combat Club def. The Butcher, The Blade & Kip Sabian The following was courtesy of allelitewrestling.com:
Sabian and Yuta started the match for their respective sides. Yuta grabbed a blind tag and Claudio press slammed Kip! The Butcher tagged in and grabbed a side headlock on Claudio. Claudio blasted Butcher with European Uppercuts. Mox tagged in and peppered Butcher with kicks. Yuta grabbed a tag but Butcher back body dropped Yuta and then walloped Yuta with a running crossbody. Sabian tagged in and rocked Yuta with a stunner and followed up with a cannonball senton in the corner.

Page ducked a lariat from Moxley but Page’s backdrop was countered by Moxley. Mox dug his nails into Page’s back and then superplexed Adam Page onto the mat. Another week, another episode of Aew: Dark which this week features seven matches… Including a Women’s Roh title match! Anyway, on with the review.
Match #1: Juice Robinson def. Travis Williams
My Thoughts: Juice Robinson makes another appearance for Aew and faces some decent competition in Travis Williams. This was a well-paced, competitive, start to Dark.
My Score: 3 out of 5 Match #2: Ruby Soho & Willow Nightingale def. Emi Sakura & Diamante
My Thoughts: The new team of Ruby Soho & Willow Nightingale get another outing, this time against the heel team of Emi Sakura & Diamante, who have worked together before and delivered each and every time. And the same is the case here, with Soho and Nightgale really gelling – I’d definitely like to see them stay together as a team for a while longer even though I’d like to see Willow Nightingale make her way up the singles scene too.

Butcher and Dustin duked it out on the ring apron until Butcher blasted Dustin with a lariat to eliminate Rhodes. Starks eliminated the Butcher after ramming him with a shoulder. Jack Perry took out Lee Moriarty with a hurracanrana over the top rope. Jungle Boy was trying to hold onto the rope when W. Match #1: Nick Comoroto def. Hagane Shinno
My Thoughts: Interesting to see Comoroto booked as a monster once again, with Shinno booked as the plucky underdog who could not get the big man down. That’s not to say Shinno didn’t put in the effort but it was like watching a fly trying to beatdown a bulldog! Comoroto spent a bit too much time playing to the crowd but still, this was an Ok start to the show.

Match #1: The Bunny def. Blain Onyx
My Thoughts: The Bunny took control of this one for the get-go, only “letting” Blain Onyx get a few hits in so it didn’t look like she totally folded. But otherwise this was a complete and total squash.
My Score: 1 out of 5 Match #2: Brandon Cutler def. Man Scout

Another episode of Aew: Dark, which this week features fourteen, yes Fourteen(!), matches. Though this show has also gone back to the traditional format after last week’s tremendous show which showcased two matches filmed internationally… I fear no Dark may ever live up to last weeks… Especially not one crammed with 14 matches like the old pandemic days!
Match #1: Jora Johl def. Luke Sampson
My Thoughts: Poor Jora Johl, it really looked like he was being set up to be a big star, with a future turn against Matt Hardy probably propelling him up the Aew card. Then Jeff hardy joined Aew and the Hfo disbanded and Johl has been seemingly forgotten. Though he has out in some decent time on Aew’s YouTube shows, it feels like he’s fallen into the Factory/Dark Order trap – win against jobbers on YouTube, Be the jobber of Dynamite/Rampage!

It’s Monday morning, so you know what that means… it’s time for our review of Friday night’s episode of Aew: Rampage, which this week emanated from the Enmarket Arena in Savannah, Georgia. Let’s get to the review!
Match #1: Brody King & Malakai Black def. John Silver & Alex Reynolds The following is courtesy of allelitewrestling.com:
Reynolds and Black chain wrestled and then Reynolds took down Black with a deep arm drag. Black got a blind tag to Brody and Brody used his bulk to muscle Reynolds into the corner. Reynolds avoided a chop and tagged out to John Silver. Brody King leveled John Silver and then attempted a senton but Silver dodged it and tagged out to Reynolds. Silver and Reynolds blasted Brody with stereo kicks. They sent Brody spilling to the outside after more tandem offense. Brody intercepted a diving Alex Reynolds and then spiked him on the ring apron.

It’s Monday morning, so you know what that means… it’s time for our review of Friday night’s episode of Aew: Rampage, which this week emanated from the Blue Cross Arena at the War Memorial in Rochester, New York. Once again we’ve got Tony Schiavone, Excalibur And Jim Ross on commentary, so let’s get to the review!
Match #1: Eddie Kingston def. Konosuke Takeshita The following is courtesy of allelitewrestling.com:
Kingston used a side headlock takeover on Takeshita, but Takeshita scissored Eddie’s head. Both men got to their feet in a stalemate. Kingston grabbed Takeshita by the wrists but Takeshita reversed it, and then Kingston countered. Takeshita backed Eddie into the ropes and took advantage of the moment. Eddie followed up with a gut wrench suplex. Both men traded chops until Kingston thumbed Takeshita in the eyes. Takeshita fired elbow strikes in the corner...

Another episode of Aew: Dark, which this week is once again being taped at Aew Universal. We join Taz and Excalibur, commentators for Dark as usual, for eight matches and what looks, on paper, like a stacked card!
Match #1: Lee Moriarty def. Leon Ruffin
My Thoughts: Got to love a match that features two great wrestlers like Moriarty and Ruffin. This one could’ve done with a more animated and excited audience – or one that was more interested in Wrestling rather than high-flying or comedy antics. Other than that this was a solid affair with two guys who looked like they were determined to put on a great wrestling match.
My Score: 3 out of 5 Match #2: Bear Country def. Adrian Alanis & Liam Gray
My Thoughts: I always love seeing Bear Country in action on Aew programming, it’s just a shame that they don’t seem to be on...

Welcome to this week’s review of Aew: Dark which comes from Aew Universal and features nine matches this week. Once again we’ve got the winning team of Taz and Excalibur on commentary… Let’s get into the review!
Match #1: Kris Statlander def. Avery Breaux
My Thoughts: We open this week’s Dark with one of Aew signature matches. The quasi-squash. With Kris Statlander in control of this one, giving Breux just enough time to get in a modicum of offence. What really marked this match out was the silence… This Aew Universal crowd were quiet. Like really quiet for this match!
My Score: 1.5 out of 5 Match #2: “Daddy Magic” Matt Menard & “Cool Hand” Angelo Parker def. Eli Isom & Tug Cooper
My Thoughts: Match number two and squash number two. This was little more than a chance for the now stupidly named Matt Menard & Angelo Parker to get...

Welcome to this week’s review of Aew Dark: Elevation, we’re back to just Mark Henry and Paul Wight on commentary and this week’s show is another short card, featuring 6 matches this week. Let’s get right into the action!
Match #1: Ethan Page def. Jd Griffey
My Thoughts: Griffey had a decent showing here in this quasi-squash match, but this one was Ethan Page’s to lose. It’s good to see Page actually wrestling on Aew television and not just cutting promos. Maybe now Scorpio Sky has the TNT Title spotlight that some of the spotlight will rub off on Page. Here’s Hoping!
My Score: 2 out of 5 Match #2: Roh Women’s Title Match – Mercedes Martinez def. Hyan
My Thoughts: Mercedes Martinez gave Texas local Hyan a Lot of room here. It even looked like she was doing Hyan’s moves for her at one point!

Welcome to this week’s review of Aew: Dark which was, apparently, filmed at the same time as Battle of the Belts 2 (the commentary table and ring barriers had the Botb apron on it!). We’ve got a smaller 6-match card but one that features some bigger talent – which is apt given we’ve got a live paying audience and not the usual Universal crowd. Let’s get into the review!
Match #1: Red Velvet def. Dulce Tormenta
My Thoughts: Red Velvet is fully embracing her new “baddie” persona, which is probably for the best as her babyface persona was running out of steam – as heard in her Owen Hart qualifying match the other week. Here she takes a more determined, more vicious stance against Dulce Tormenta. Though Tormenta didn’t take it lying down, offering up some great offence. But like most of these “enhancement” talent matches, despite the...

Welcome to this week’s review of Aew: Dynamite, which was broadcast live from the Petersen Events Center in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. As usual we have Tony Schiavone, Excalibur, and Jim Ross on commentary and Another stacked card!
Match #1: Cm Punk def. Dustin Rhodes The following is courtesy of allelitewrestling.com:
Cm Punk and Dustin Rhodes shook hands before the match began as a sign of mutual respect. Punk took down Rhodes with a side headlock. Rhodes countered with leg scissors. There were duelling chants in the arena of “Let’s Go Dustin!” and “Cm Punk!” Cm Punk ducked a crossbody press from Rhodes and Rhodes’ momentum sent him spilling out of the ring, underneath the bottom rope for a rough landing on the arena floor. Rhodes was holding his knee. Back in the ring, Punk dropped elbows on Dustin’s injured knee. Cm Punk continued to work on Dustin’s knee.

Welcome to our review of Ring of Honor’s Supercard of Honor, the first Roh pay per view under new management. Part of a stacked Wrestlemania/Wrestlecon weekend, let’s check out what Tony Khan’s got in store for the long-running Roh brand…
Zero Hour Match #1: Colt Cabana def. Blake Christian The following is courtesy of rohwrestling.com:
Cabana, who spent nearly half of his 23-year career in Roh, returned to an Roh ring for the first time since 2019. Christian, a rising star, was making his Roh debut. Christian came within an eyelash of pulling an upset after hitting a Springboard 450 Splash, but Cabana recovered and hit Chicago Skyline for the win.
My Score: 2.5 out of 5 Match #2: Aqa def. Miranda Alize The following is courtesy of rohwrestling.com:
Aqa made an impressive Roh debut by knocking off Alize, who was a finalist in the Roh Women’s World Title Tournament last summer.
