Welcome back to another review of Aew Dark: Elevation, this week features nine matches once again and a number of big-name stars rather than jobbers! We’ve got Ian Riccaboni and Paul Wight on commentary, so let’s get into the review…
Match #1: Abadon def. Amy Rose
My Thoughts: Amy Rose makes her Aew debut getting annihilated by Abadon. Hey, at least she got some offence – and remarkably a one-count – before the match was over! Squash-tastic action.
My Score: 1.5 out of 5 Match #2: Roh Six-Man Tag Team Title Match – Dalton Castle and The Boys (Brandon and Brent Tate) def. The Trustbusters
My Thoughts: Wow. We get an Roh title match on Elevation. Surprising. What’s not surprising is how not into this match the crowd was – which really hurt proceedings Imho. Good to see Dalton Castle and The Boys in action but let’s not let the Trustbusters anywhere near those titles ever again,...

Match #1: Madison Rayne def. Diamante
My Thoughts: Great to see Diamante back in action on Aew programming and she actually looked like she was having fun, even cracking a smile! Though that didn’t last long as Madison Rayne rolled her up and stole the win – even though Diamante did all the work! Short and sweet.
My Score: 2 out of 5 Match #2: Frankie Kazarian def. Rhett Titus
My Thoughts: Roh wrestler Rhett Titus makes another appearance on Aew programming, though it’s been about 6 months since we last saw him, losing to the awesome Konosuke Takeshita. Titus’ Aew losing streak continues as Kazarian controlled this match from the bell, with...

Another week, another episode of Aew: Dark which is another stacked 10-match card And a live audience thanks to being taped in DC… On with the review!
Match #1: Lance Archer def. Alec Odin
My Thoughts: Two matches in a row for Archer, this was even more of a squash than his Elevation match this week! Odin did get a move or two in but this was very much Archer’s match.
My Score: 1 out of 5 Match #2: Penelope Ford, Serena Deeb and Jamie Hayter def. Jordan Blade, Trish Adora and Brittany Blake
My Thoughts: I was totally surprised to see that this match Wasn’T a squash – as it certainly looked like it would be on paper. Thankfully this instead was a well-fought, competitive match – one that really showcased the trio of heels to perfection.
My Score: 2.5 out of 5 Match #3: Hikaru Shida def. Marina Shafir
My Thoughts: Well colour me shocked!

Welcome back to another review of Aew Dark: Elevation, which this week features seven matches and a number of big-name stars! We’ve got Ian Riccaboni, Paul Wight and Matt Menard on commentary, so let’s get into the review…
Match #1: Hikaru Shida def. Erica Leigh
My Thoughts: Straight out of the gate, we’ve got a typical Aew quasi-squash match, with Shida not Totally demolishing and embarrassing her opponent here but still being in control of this match entirely. A quick sub-three minute match to kick off this week’s show!
My Score: 1.5 out of 5 Match #2: Lance Archer def. Papadon
My Thoughts: And we get a re-run of the previous match here… only from the male perspective! Papadon got in quite a bit of offence but there was no way any of it was going to have any real impact on Archer…
My Score: 1.5 out of 5 Match #3: Emi Sakura def.

Welcome to this week’s review of Aew Dark: Elevation, the opening salvo in the Aew wrestling week. Once again we’ve got Paul Wight finally back on commentary this week where he is joined by Roh’s Ian Riccaboni. So let’s see what the show has to offer!
Match #1: Skye Blue def. Trish Adora
My Thoughts: Fan-favourite Skye Blue opens Elevation in a quasi-squash match against Trish Adora. Unfortunately both women didn’t quite gel and this one felt a lot more like the kind of “developmental” match Dark and Elevation are supposed to showcase. Which, if training wrestlers and giving them “TV time”, is what the show is about, is a good thing.
My Score: 1 out of 5 Match #2: Brian Cage def. Tracy Williams
My Thoughts: Nice to see Brian Cage [finally] in another match on Aew programming. Interesting that, given he’s facing Wardlow for the title this week,...

Match #1: Bear Bronson def. Brandon Cutler
My Thoughts: This was the usual Brandon Cutler match. A squash but one that saw Cutler up to his usual antics and comedy wrestling style. Unfortunately for Cutler Bear Bronson took this one a bit more seriously and got the quick win.
My Score: 1.5 out of 5 Match #2: Brody King def. Alex Reynolds
My Thoughts: Another quick squash match for Elevation as Brodie King. Well it wasn’t a Total squash, with Reynolds at least getting some good offence in against the more powerful Brody King. And it was power that won the day here.
My Score: 1.5 out of 5 Match #3: Anna Jay and Yuka Sakazaki def.

Swerve jumped over the top rope but Darby was waiting for him with a stunner. Darby ran into the ring and rocketed back out with a tope suicida but Swerve had it scouted and connected with a knee strike! Welcome to the first of this weeks Aew reviews, Aew Dark: Elevation, which kicks off the wrestling week for us here at Nerdly. As always I’m editor Phil and let’s get straight into the review!
Match #1: Tay Jay (Tay Conti and Anna Jay) vs. Willow Nightingale and Erica Leigh
My Thoughts: Nice to see Willow Nightingale back on Aew programming, hopefully she gets a chance at more appearances in Aew. In terms of this match this was all Tay Conti, who took it to Erica Leigh and then pump-kicked the hell out of Nightingale before hitting the Dd-Tay for the win.
My Score: 2 out of 5 Match #2: Tony Nese def. Logan Laroux
My Thoughts: This was one of Aew’s quasi-squash matches; one that let local wrestler Logan Laroux get in some decent offence against Tony Nese – and the hometown crowd were certainly behind Laroux; but that...
