AGC Television is adapting an R.V. Bowman young adult novel trilogy into a live-action family series.
Hook’s Daughter: The Pirate Princess Chronicles will be created from the book of the same name, with Thor Freudenthal is attached to direct and Lucy Brown (Bride or Groom) is adapting the fantasy adventure trilogy.
AGC’s Chief Creative Officer Lourdes Diaz, YA division head Aghi Koh and CEO Stuart Ford will executive produce.
The synopsis reads: “When her Sea Captain father fails to show up for his annual visit at her boarding school, a 16-year-old girl breaks out to search for his whereabouts. She is shocked to find he is on a magical island called Neverland and is known as the villainous Captain Hook. But when she uncovers family secrets, she also discovers the real villain just might be Peter Pan.”

The Crow is flying over to Lionsgate, which will handle domestic distribution for the long-awaited reboot.
Rupert Sanders directed the feature, with Bill Skarsgard starring as the titular character, which originally debuted in the late 1980s comics by James O’Barr. The late Brandon Lee famously played the character in the 1994 film, and was killed during an on-set accident.
FKA Twigs, Danny Huston, Laura Birn, Sami Bouajila and Jordan Bolger star. Victor Hadida, Molly Hassell, John Jencks, the late Samuel Hadida and the late Edward R. Pressman produced. Zach Baylin and Will Schneider penned the script.
“The original film left an indelible mark on our culture that lives on,” said the producers in a joint statement. “We are thrilled...
