Exclusive: Paula Abdul is among an ensemble cast for a feature-length podcast from Steven Jay Rubin (Bleacher Bums), Billy Riback (Home Improvement) and stand-up comic Bruce Smirnoff.
The American Idol star is starring in Spacemen From Planet Judy alongside Phil Hendrie (Rick and Morty), Hal Rudnick (Reno 911), John Mariano (The Offer) and Eric Waddell (Funny You Should Ask).
It begins when all of Earth’s gay males, and two straight men dressed in drag because there was a mix-up in their Halloween costumes, are abducted to the distant planet Judy (named after Judy Garland), the gay haven world of the universe, where they will live in freedom without oppression.
Inadvertently kidnapped, bumbling information technology specialists Mitch (Hendrie) and Lenny (Rudnick) find themselves on an exotic world of constant partying, mingling and cuddling, all run by the Golden Ram Man (Mariano), a mad tyrant who abhors insubordination and seeded grapes.

Right or wrong, innocent or guilty, these are the law talkin' guys and gals we'd want to have on our side in a court of law.

If you're counting down TV's best defense lawyers, this one's obligatory. Ben Matlock, portrayed by TV legend Andy Griffith, wrote the playbook on dramatic reveals and turnarounds in front of the jury.

Jodie Foster Says ‘Team America: World Police’ Is Her ‘Number One’ Required Film Everyone Should See
Oscar-winning icon Jodie Foster is revealing her must-see films list…and let’s just say, it’s a little surprising.
The “Nyad” star said while in conversation with “Past Lives” actress Greta Lee for Interview magazine that she has two films she recommends everyone should watch. To note, Lee also appeared in Foster’s “Money Monster.”
Lee asked Foster, “What’s one movie you think everyone should see at least once?” to which Foster replied, “Well, ‘Everything Everywhere All at Once.’ Oh, and this is probably number one — the puppet movie ‘Team America: World Police.'”
“Team America: World Police” was a 2004 political satire film directed by “South Park” creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone. The film centered around an “Avengers” style group of counterterrorist police officers deemed Team America. The force accidentally destroys a slew of international landmarks while trying to take down real-life North Korean leader Kim Jong Il.

Tonight on New Girl: Ex-Wives, Babysitting and Pregnancy Bombshells (Sneak Peeks)
New Girl has so far dealt with dating and career issues, but tonight's episode "Kids" is looking at a range of child related problems. Jess (Zooey Deschanel) is crossing that all important dating threshold by both meeting the ex-wife and babysitting for Russell's (Dermot Mulroney) daughter. Meanwhile, Winston (Lamorne Morris) has gone from being the nanny to dealing with an adult who behaves like a child and a certain couple could be expecting their own bundle of joy.
Last week focused on Russell hanging out in Jess' world after she spent a week living in his fancyman one, but now Jess must conquer the next Russell related hurdle; his ex-wife and his child Sarah (Annalise Basso). Jess is already Sarah's teacher so she has a pre-established relationship that exists inside the classroom, however this is the first time...

“We don’t have that many continuing stories, so we can’t reveal that much,” executive producer Jake Kasdan admitted near the start of Monday night’s New Girl panel during the annual PaleyFest in Los Angeles.
The result? An entertaining and laugh-filled panel that was much like an episode of New Girl. There was dancing (thanks, Jake Johnson!), awkward glances, a Douchebag Jar (to which Max Greenfield contributed a wad of cash), Zooey Deschanel pretending to eat like a turtle, little talk of the few overarching plots on the series, and a hearty collection of quotable moments. The producers of The Simpsons invaded Bartroom, excuse me, Ballroom 20 this afternoon to chat about the animated Fox comedy’s upcoming 23rd season and answer all sorts of fan questions. (They also showed an amusing parody of the Dexter opening credits starring Ned Flanders, which will appear in the show’s annual “Treehouse of Horror” Halloween episode.) Here are 10 things we learned during the panel — and afterward, when we followed up with executive producer Al Jean.
• Surprise, surprise: There will be at least two more Banksy-eseque gags sprinkled throughout the season. “If you liked Banksy, then you’ll like these two,...

It's almost time to go "back to the future." New episodes of the crazy Futurama gang are coming in June.
Futurama follows a delivery boy, Phillip J. Fry (Billy West), who is accidentally frozen and then awakens in the year 2999. He takes a job as a cargo delivery boy and meets a very strange cast of characters. Others in the cast include Katey Sagal, John Dimaggio, Lauren Tom, Phil Lamarr, Maurice Lamarche, Frank Welker, Tress MacNeille, David Herman, Byrne Offutt, Kath Soucie, Dawnn Lewis, Tom Kenny, Danny Jacobs, and Phil Hendrie.
After being cancelled by Fox, Futurama went on to find greater popularity in repeats and then new life in direct-to-dvd movies. The movies were subsequently chopped up and aired on Comedy Central as regular episodes.

Fox just can't seem to decide if they want King Of The Hill or not.
Created by Mike Judge and Greg Daniels, King Of The Hill centers around the Hills, a blue-collar family living in Texas. Back in 2005, the show was set to be cancelled but execs changed their minds when the ratings went up and the Hill family stuck around for a few more seasons.

Though the last Futurama movie, "Into the Wild Green Yonder," seemed like the end for Fry and his pals, they're coming back to television with all new episodes. Who says cancelled shows can't have a future?
Created by The Simpsons' Matt Groening and David X. Cohen, Futurama revolves around a slacker (Billy West) who is cryogenically frozen until the year 2999. He takes a job as a cargo delivery boy and encounters a strange crew of characters. The rest of the voice cast includes Katey Sagal, John Dimaggio, Lauren Tom, Phil Lamarr, Maurice Lamarche, Frank Welker, Tress MacNeille, David Herman, Byrne Offutt, Kath Soucie, Dawnn Lewis, Tom Kenny, Danny Jacobs, and Phil Hendrie.
After a troubled run on Fox, Futurama was cancelled in 2003. But the show's success in syndication and in DVD sales caused the studio to revive the characters for a quartet of direct-to-dvd movies. The movies were subsequently...

The fourth and final Futurama direct-to-dvd movie has just been released, aptly named "Into the Wild Green Yonder." And while the DVD seemingly ends the series, the future of the animated characters is still very much up in the air.
Created by The Simpsons' Matt Groening and David Cohen, Futurama revolves around a slacker named Phillip J. Fry (Billy West) who is cryogenically frozen. He awakens in the year 2999 and ends up taking a job as a cargo delivery boy at Planet Express. He encounters a strange crew of characters, played by West, Katey Sagal, John Dimaggio, Lauren Tom, Phil Lamarr, Maurice Lamarche, Frank Welker, Tress MacNeille, David Herman, Byrne Offutt, Kath Soucie, Dawnn Lewis, Tom Kenny, Danny Jacobs, and Phil Hendrie.
Sandwiched between The Simpsons and The X-Files, it debuted to 19 million viewers on Sunday, March 28, 1999. The following week, it drew 14.2 million. For episode three, it was moved...

Shortly thereafter, rumors surfaced that ABC might be considering picking it up. At the recent Television Critics Association (TCA) press tour, fans got their answer.

Bobby Cannavale will play the title role in ABC's comedy pilot Cupid.
Meanwhile, Bob Odenkirk, Rachel Blanchard and Phil Hendrie have joined CBS' comedy pilot Mike Birbiglia's Secret Public Journal, while Ken Marino and Brook Bloom have booked the leads in Fox's comedy pilot Outnumbered.
In other pilot casting news, Alexandra Breckenridge and Adam Rothenberg have been added to the CBS drama Mythological Ex, and Rick Peters and Brooke D'Orsay have come aboard the CBS comedy Single White Millionaire.
The ABC Studios-produced Cupid is an updated version of Rob Thomas' 1990s comedy for ABC. Cannavale will play the charming and manic Trevor Hale, who thinks he is the Roman god of love, Cupid, banished to Earth until he can match 100 couples. Jeremy Piven played the role on the original series. Cannavale, an Emmy winner for his recurring role as Vince D'Angelo on "Will & Grace," starred in the NBC drama pilot M.O.N.Y. last season.
Journal, from CBS Par, stars Birbiglia as himself, a stand-up comedian who lives with his girlfriend in Brooklyn and struggles in his efforts to be a grown-up.

Jordan Black, star of CBS' pilot presentation "Giants of Radio", has inked a joint talent holding deal with CBS and the pilot's producer, 20th Century Fox TV.
It's unusual for networks and studios to sign actors on their pilots in talent deals, but "Giants" is not your ordinary pilot.
In the summer, writer-director Jason Winer -- hot off the well-regarded 2006 Fox/20th TV comedy pilot "The Adventures of Big Handsome Guy and His Little Friend," which he co-wrote and starred in -- pitched to 20th TV a comedy set behind the scenes of a radio syndication network. The studio liked the pitch and bought it for $150,000. But instead of writing a script, Winer called up some of his friends from the improv circuit -- Black, Missi Pyle, Joel McHale, Jackie Tohn and Danny Pudi -- and used the money to shoot a full-length single-camera partially scripted pilot with all actors working for nominal fees.
Winer also reached out through his agents at ICM to comedian Phil Hendrie, a popular Los Angeles radio personality, whom he had admired for years.
"I'd always been a huge talk radio junkie," Winer said.

TORONTO -- U.S. talk radio host Phil Hendrie on Wednesday was cited by Canadian broadcast censors for slurring Italians during his on-air commentaries. The Canadian Broadcast Standards Council, an industry watchdog, ruled that a Nov. 26, 2002, broadcast of The Phil Hendrie Show on CKTB-AM in St. Catherine's, Ontario, breached a voluntary industry code of ethics by referring to an Italian doctor cloning a human baby as a "wop." In 1997, the CBSC ruled that U.S. shock jock Howard Stern had used language that breached the same industry-imposed code of ethics. The Howard Stern Show was eventually jettisoned from Canadian airwaves after attempts to clean up the U.S. radio show failed to satisfy Canadian censors. Responding to a Dec. 12, 2002, written complaint from a radio listener insisting that Hendrie's comments about Italians were "derogatory and racist," the Ontario regional panel of the CBSC concluded that the U.S. radio show had breached a human-rights clause in the industry's code of ethics.
