Another week, another episode of Aew: Dark which once again this week features a whopping Nine matches – where’s the swift and fun five-match card gone?! Anyway, on with the review…
Match #1: Ar Fox def. Nick Comoroto
My Thoughts: Good god, this was an unexpectedly great match! I honestly didn’t think we’d see a match this good from Nick Comoroto. Ever. Kudos to Ar Fox for getting such a good performance from Comoroto, making both of them look fantastic come the match’s conclusion.
My Score: 3.5 out of 5 Match #2: Skye Blue def. Queen Aminata
My Thoughts: And you can repeat everything I said about the Fox/Comoroto match for this match too. Queen Aminata has always stood out from the enhancement talent Aew bring in to face their performers and here she got a great match out of Skye Blue, easily one of her best matches in the company so far.

Match #1: Skye Blue def. Mylo
My Thoughts: We haven’t seen Mylo on Aew programming since September last year and unlike that appearance, where she was thoroughly squashed in a tag match against the Renegade Twins, here she manages to play a brilliant heel to Skye Blue’s babyface. And it’s something I’d be happy to see more of, maybe have the duo run this match back in the future?
My Score: 2.5 out of 5 Match #2: Brian Cage def. Bad Dude Tito
My Thoughts: It’s not often Brian Cage gets an opponent of his size and stature or an opponent who can hold his own against him, but that’s exactly what Bad Dude Tito did – even managing to get a 2-count on Cage at one point.

Welcome back to another review of Aew Dark: Elevation, which features seven matches on the card once again. We’ve got regulars Paul Wight and Matt Menard on commentary as usual. So let’s get into the review!
Match #1: Emi Sakura def. Rachelle Riveter
My Thoughts: Nice to see Emi Sakura Open an episode of Elevation, though as usual she’s squashing her opponent. Well I say this is a squash, but this is the trademark-pending “Aew quasi-squash”, with Sakura giving Rachelle Riveter just enough space to get some offence in and not look totally weak. Which, if I’m honest, is always a trait of Sakura’s matches – she allows her opponent, no matter who it is, to show off their skills. Unlike some other people on the roster!

Another week, another episode of Aew: Dark which this week features eleven(!) matches which immediately fills me with dread… Anyway, on with the review.
Match #1: Matt Menard & Angelo Parker def. Fuego Del Sol & Leon Ruffin
My Thoughts: A decent opening match and it was great to see Fuego Del Sol back in action on Aew programming, especially here where he teams with Leon Ruffin. A decent start to the show.
My Score: 2.5 out of 5 Match #2: Mei Suruga def. Hyena Hera
My Thoughts: Hyena Hera tried to use her height advantage over Mei Suruga but it was not to be as Suruga went rabid and started biting Hera! The rest of the match was a decent back and forth between the two. Nothing super exciting but good enough.
My Score: 2.5 out of 5 Match #3: Varsity Athletes def. Allen Russell & Kameron Russell

Match #1: Aew World Championship Eliminator Match – Mjf def. Konosuke Takeshita The following is courtesy of allelitewrestling.com:
Takeshita clobbered Mjf with nearly 10 punches in the corner and then followed up with a jumping knee. Mjf pulled the ref in the way and then blindsided Takeshita. Mjf countered a clothesline by yanking Takeshita’s arm and then driving his shoulder into the mat. Mjf followed up with a Ddt, then chomped down on Takeshita’s fingers. Takeshita fired back with an exploder suplex on Mjf, sending Mjf flying into the turnbuckles. Takeshita rocked Mjf with two running boots. Takeshita nailed Mjf with a brainbuster for a near fall. Match #1: Blake Christian def. Serpentico
My Thoughts: Ahhhh, we’re back to Serpentico actually giving a great performance and Blake Christian was a great foil for him too. Which meant this was a fantastic opener to this week’s show!
My Score: 3 out of 5 Match #2: Rush def. Aiden Park
My Thoughts: Surprise, surprise, we get a squash match from Rush. but damn if Rush doesn’t do great squashes… I love how he’s both sneaky and dominant as he overpowers his opponents, and that was certainly the case here.

Match #1: Jon Moxley def. “Hangman” Adam Page The following is courtesy of allelitewrestling.com:
Moxley jumped “Hangman” as Moxley was making his entrance. Moxley hurled Adam Page into the barricade. Moxley delivered a flying sledge as he jumped off the barricade onto Hangman. Adam Page turned the tables, delivering a big boot to Moxley as they brawled amongst the fans. Moxley applied the figure four on the floors and flipped off Adam Page. Moxley hit Page in the ribs with a steel chair. Page slung the chair at Moxley’s head. Page suplexed Moxley onto the chair on the arena floor. Page caught Moxley flush in the forehead. Moxley, dazed, began to bleed from the forehead.

Match #1: Ar Fox & Top Flight def. The Wingmen
My Thoughts: What’s this? The Wingmen in a decent match shocker! I know that’s hard to believe given how they’ve been booked in forever… but it looks like the were given a chance to shine against Top Flight and Ar Fox, who also managed to draw out decent wrestling from the normally-comedic team. Surprising but superb start to this week’s show.

Welcome back to another review of Aew Dark: Elevation, which this week keeps the match count low, with only 7 matches on this week’s show – the last Elevation of 2022! We’ve got Paul Wight on commentary, so let’s get into the review.
Match #1: Nyla Rose and Marina Shafir def. Leva Bates and Karizma
My Thoughts: This felt very much like Nyla Rose and Marina Shafir going through the motions, as if this was either put together at the last minute or the duo were off their game – which is odd given how good they’ve been together recently. Still, a squash is a squash.
My Score: 1 out of 5 Match #2: Julia Hart def. Promise Braxton
My Thoughts: Julia Hart gets another singles match and it’s another quick squash match to help build Hart into the kind of monster she needs to be as part of the House of Black.

Match #1: Nick Comoroto def. Hagane Shinno
My Thoughts: Interesting to see Comoroto booked as a monster once again, with Shinno booked as the plucky underdog who could not get the big man down. That’s not to say Shinno didn’t put in the effort but it was like watching a fly trying to beatdown a bulldog! Comoroto spent a bit too much time playing to the crowd but still, this was an Ok start to the show.

Match #1: The Bunny def. Blain Onyx
My Thoughts: The Bunny took control of this one for the get-go, only “letting” Blain Onyx get a few hits in so it didn’t look like she totally folded. But otherwise this was a complete and total squash.
My Score: 1 out of 5 Match #2: Brandon Cutler def. Man Scout

My Thoughts: Fun multi-man squash. Dark ORder did their thing with aplomb as usual.
My Score: 1 out of 5 Match #3: Serena Deeb def. Sierra

Match #1: Jon Moxley def. Mance Warner
My Thoughts: This was a drag-down, knock-out fight. Mance Warner promised a fight and that’s what both men delivered. Moxley made Warner look badass, giving him room to show his stuff to the Aew crowd and fans not familiar with his time in Mlw and on the indies. This match was also given plenty of time to tell its story, with small subtle actions from both men really giving this opener some depth.

Match #1: Angelico and Private Party (Marq Quen and Isiah Kassidy) def. Ar Fox, Liam Gray and Adrian Alanis
My Thoughts: There was nothing remarkable about this match as Private Party continue to coast along and not live up to the hype of their signing back at the beginning of Aew. In fact, Private Party on Being the Elite is Better than Private Party in the ring! So in the end we get an average score for an average match.

Another episode of Aew: Dark, which this week features fourteen, yes Fourteen(!), matches. Though this show has also gone back to the traditional format after last week’s tremendous show which showcased two matches filmed internationally… I fear no Dark may ever live up to last weeks… Especially not one crammed with 14 matches like the old pandemic days!
Match #1: Jora Johl def. Luke Sampson
My Thoughts: Poor Jora Johl, it really looked like he was being set up to be a big star, with a future turn against Matt Hardy probably propelling him up the Aew card. Then Jeff hardy joined Aew and the Hfo disbanded and Johl has been seemingly forgotten. Though he has out in some decent time on Aew’s YouTube shows, it feels like he’s fallen into the Factory/Dark Order trap – win against jobbers on YouTube, Be the jobber of Dynamite/Rampage!

Match #1: TNT Championship Match – Wardlow def. Orange Cassidy The following is courtesy of allelitewrestling.com:
Orange Cassidy wanted to begin with a Grego Roman knuckle lock but placed his hands in his pockets instead. Wardlow tore the pockets out of Orange’s pants. Cassidy avoided a lariat and followed up with head scissors, but Wardlow cartwheeled out of it! Chuck Taylor tried to pass a chainsaw into the ring but ref Bryce Remsburg intercepted it, catching Best Friends red handed! He ejected them from the ringside area. Orange tried for the Orange Punch but Wardlow caught it! Wardlow stalked Orange Cassidy around the ringside area,...

Once again we’ve got Tony Schiavone, Excalibur And Jim Ross on commentary, so let’s get to the review!
Match #1: Eddie Kingston def. Konosuke Takeshita The following is courtesy of allelitewrestling.com:
Kingston used a side headlock takeover on Takeshita, but Takeshita scissored Eddie’s head. Both men got to their feet in a stalemate. Kingston grabbed Takeshita by the wrists but Takeshita reversed it, and then Kingston countered. Takeshita backed Eddie into the ropes and took advantage of the moment. Eddie followed up with a gut wrench suplex. Both men traded chops until Kingston thumbed Takeshita in the eyes. Takeshita fired elbow strikes in the corner...

It’s Monday morning, so you know what that means… it’s time for our review of Friday night’s episode of Aew: Rampage, which this week emanated from the Little Caesars Arena in Detroit, Michigan. In a shake-up from the usual set-up, we’ve got Tony Schiavone, Excalibur And Jim Ross on commentary!
Match #1: Royal Rampage Match – Winner earns an Aew Interim Title Match The following is courtesy of allelitewrestling.com:
There was a red ring on the left and a blue ring on the right. “Absolute” Ricky Starks entered the red ring and Team Taz outnumbered Hangman Page as Powerhouse Hobbs and Starks double teamed Page. Darby Allin backdropped Tony Nese over the top rope. The Butcher was out next, accompanied by the Bunny. Darby hit a tope suicida on Tony Nese through the ropes (not over the top). The Butcher then grabbed Darby and began swinging...

Another episode of Aew: Dark, which this week was apparently taped around an episode of Rampage so we get a decent crowd and bigger names on the card. Let’s join Taz and Excalibur, commentators for Dark as usual, and see what this week’s Eight matches have in store… Those match counts are getting bigger and bigger the further we get from Double or Nothing.
Match #1: Qt Marshall def. Alan Angels
My Thoughts: Wtf?! We closed this week’s Elevation with Dark Order versus The Factory and open this week’s Dark with Alan Angels versus Qt Marshall… Running out of ideas much? I’m really starting to wonder what the hell the plan is, if there is a plan, with these recurring Dark Order/The Factory matches? Feuding on YouTube shows but not referencing them outside of YouTube. Hell, I’m expecting to see both teams start...

Welcome to this week’s review of Aew Dark: Elevation which runs a ridiculously short twenty minutes and One second. We’ve only got two, yes two, matches on the card, one of which is Another title defence for Mercedes Martinez. Let’s get into it!
Match #1: Konosuke Takeshita def. Ryan Nemeth
My Thoughts: Konosuke Takeshita goes from a banger of a match against Adam Page to slumming it with Ryan Nemeth. Ok, so it gets him more experience on Aew television but he’s already out-classed the likes of Nemeth in his existing Aew matches so this feels like a step back for a guy who, Imho, could be in one of Aew’s title races right now. Now.
My Score: 2.5 out of 5 Match #2: Roh Women’s Title Match – Mercedes Martinez def. Mazzerati
My Thoughts: Mazzerati has had some great matches in Ring of Honor over the...

Johnny Elite grappled Samoa Joe to the mat. Joe came in for a collar and elbow tie-up but Johnny Elite was looking to stick and move. Samoa Joe shoved Johnny Elite into the corner and clocked him with stiff chops. Samoa Joe nailed Johnny Elite with a swift kick. Joe cranked on Johnny’s neck. Johnny got to his feet and blasted Joe with a thrust kick. Joe tried for a backdrop but Johnny Elite cartwheeled and then used a lariat on Joe.
