To mark the release of NOS4A2 on 8th March, we’ve been given 2 boxsets of Seasons 1&2 to give away.
Victoria “Vic” McQueen, is a young working-class artist, who, fed up with her parents fighting, jumps on her motorbike to get away. Soon she discovers that she has an uncanny ability to find lost things…
This power puts her on a dangerous collision course with the seemingly immortal, sinister, seductive Charlie Manx. Manx lures children, feeds off their souls, then deposits what remains of them into Christmasland—a twisted Christmas Village of Manx’s imagination where every day is Christmas Day and unhappiness is against the law.
Alongside bubbly, purple-haired librarian Maggie Leigh (Jahkara Smith – Into the Dark) who has a Scrabble bag portal to the universe, Vic must strive to defeat Manx and henchman Bing Partridge, and rescue the missing children – all without losing her mind or falling victim herself…...

This time Charlie Manx won’t be coming back. AMC has canceled supernatural horror drama NOS4A2 after two seasons. NOS4A2 showrunner Jami O’Brien broke the news via her Twitter feed, writing:
“Well friends, I heard from AMC last week. We won’t be making a 3rd season of NOS4A2. It’s a bummer, but I’m grateful we were at least able to finish adapting the storyline from Joe Hill’s terrific novel. Congratulations to every single member of our phenomenal team on two seasons of weird and wonderful TV. I will miss seeing everyone back in Little Rhody this year, but I’m awfully proud of all we’ve done together. Thank You to Joe Hill for all your generosity, imagination, and support, and for trusting us with Vic and Charlie, Maggie, Bing, Linda, Chris, Lou, Tabitha, Wayne, Millie, and all your flawed, complicated, and beautiful characters. NOS4A2 Season 2 Episode 6
One of the smarter choices in “The Hourglass” is to lean on Maggie (Jahkara Smith), who has been underutilized this season. She was such a crucial part of the first season of NOS4A2, being Vic’s inroad to the world of the supernatural, and this season she’s mostly just been hanging around, afraid to use her bag of tiles due to the horrible side effects she suffers. That in and of itself is an important role—gifts have consequences—but it’s not the most exciting thing to be on television, and to see such a dynamic character sidelined is always disappointing. However, Maggie proves her worth in this episode, because of her willingness to put herself in danger for her friends and her gifts.
The only thing I remember about the Fullmetal Alchemist series is the repeated refrain regarding the law of equivalent exchange.

Our interviews with Joe Hill seem to be turning into an ongoing conversation: when we last left off with the author of novels like Horns and The Fireman, as well as comics like Locke & Key, the first season of AMC’s NOS4A2 — based on his third novel — was just wrapping up and a second season was confirmed.
Nearly a year later, we’re picking up with Hill right where we left off, as NOS4A2 begins its second set of episodes under returning showrunner Jami O’Brien. When we last saw paranormally gifted teenager Vic McQueen (Ashleigh Cummings), she had defeated the malevolent psychic vampire Charlie Manx (Zachary Quinto), although the cost was her dearest friend, her ability to bend reality and find lost things, and her life as she knew it.

NOS4A2 Season 2 Episode 1
Turning the holidays on their ear is something of an easy way of creating irony within a production. I’ve watched dozens of Christmas horror movies, and another dozen or so horror movies related to other holidays not traditionally associated with killing, so it’s something I’m very familiar with. NOS4A2 does a solid job of using Christmas as something ominous, with the twinkling lights and zooming rides of Christmasland populated not by adorable, doe-eyed children, but by mini-demons with razor sharp teeth who play games like “Scissors for the Drifter” and do things like tackle and eat the smallest one of the bunch. Christmasland was already trying too hard to appeal to kids, but this extra layer settles it: Christmasland is as creepy as its Strong Creative mastermind, Charlie Manx.

When NOS4A2 returns later this month, it's going to be very familiar but look very different.
That's because when we meet them again, the people we've come to know are in a much different place after an eight-year time jump.
We've got a whole lot of information at our fingertips to share with you, and a groovy video that helps prepare you for what's to come.
Jami O'Brien, Executive Producer/Showrunner, says, "What's great about the eight-year time jump is it allows us to pick our characters up in a different space, so reinvent them, in a way.
"We're picking up damaged adults trying to, kind of, find their way through after an encounter with Charlie Manx as opposed to bright-eyed bushy-tailed teenagers, who we had last season."
Ashley Cummings, who (still) plays protaganist Vic McQueen, puts it more bluntly. "Season 2 Vic, you meet her shaked up with Lou in a double-wide in Gunbarrell,...

AMC’s “NOS4A2” has been renewed for a 10-episode second season ahead of its season one finale.
The Season 2 news was revealed by the supernatural horror series’ stars Zachary Quinto and Ashley Cummings and executive producers Joe Hill and Jami O’Brien during the show’s panel at San Diego Comic-Con on Saturday.
Based on Hill’s best-selling novel of the same name, “NOS4A2” centers on Vic McQueen (Cummings), a gifted young woman who discovers she has a supernatural ability to find lost things. This ability puts her on a collision course with Charlie Manx (Quinto), a seductive immortal who feeds off the souls of children, then deposits what remains of them into Christmasland – an icy, twisted Christmas village of Manx’s imagination where every day is Christmas Day and unhappiness is against the law. Vic strives to defeat Manx and rescue his victims – without losing her mind or falling victim to him herself.

Sunday’s premiere of AMC’s NOS4A2, based on the novel by Stephen King’s son Joe Hill, wasted no time positioning as future adversaries aged-but-not-for-long kidnapper Charlie Manx (Zachary Quinto) and Vic McQueen (Ashleigh Cummings), the teenager whose emerging supernatural abilities connect them in a way that she doesn’t yet realize. But did the set-up make you want to come back to watch the follow-through? Before you weigh in, let’s sink our teeth a little more deeply into this first episode, shall we?

After hitting the zombie jackpot with The Walking Dead, AMC is going back to the supernatural horror well once again with the creepy-crawly NOS4A2 — and to its credit, the series does boast a breakout performance from newcomer Ashleigh Cummings. It’s just too bad that nothing else about the show lives up to that performance. Instead, any flickering glimmer of quality gets smothered by a drab visual palette, sluggish plotting and a crushingly dour tone.
NOS4A2 — debuting Sunday, June 2 at 9/8c; I’ve seen the first three episodes — is unfocused from the start, straining to tell two very different stories.

Vic strives to defeat Manx and rescue his victims – without losing her mind or falling victim to him herself.
The series stars Emmy®-nominated actor and producer Zachary Quinto (“Star Trek,” “American Horror Story”) and rising star Ashleigh Cummings (“The Goldfinch”). Emmy®-nominated director Kari Skogland (“The Handmaid’s Tale,...

Are you ready for Zachary Quinto to scare the heck out of you as he once did on Heroes?
If so, you're in the right place. Quinto is taking on a role that even though I'm currently reading the book is still quite mysterious.
Christmas-themed horror is nothing new, but it always makes your heart skip a beat. Much like Happy! on Syfy, N0S4A2 will make you think twice about the wonders of Christmastime.
