Recognizing projects and stars from both television and film, the 2024 SAG Awards will see a wide range of stars hit the red carpet, from Margot Robbie and the “Barbie” crew — the film picked up four nominations on the night, tying for the most with “Oppenheimer” — to cast members from “Succession,” “The Bear,” “The Last of Us” and more.

Drew Barrymore is being criticized by fellow actors and writers on social media for her decision to bring back her eponymous daytime talk show amid the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes. “The Drew Barrymore Show” is set to return Sept. 18.
While Barrymore is not violating SAG-AFTRA rules as the host of the show, her show does employ WGA writers. This means new episodes of “The Drew Barrymore Show” will have to utilize either violating WGA members, non-wga writers or no one. A spokesperson for CBS Media Ventures told Variety the show will “not be performing any writing work covered by the WGA strike.”

Fellow stars are supporting Britney Spears amid the singer's divorce from husband Sam Asghari. On Wednesday, during the Detroit stop of her Summer Carnival tour, singer Pink changed the lyrics to her hit song "Don't Let Me Get Me" to show Spears some love. Per a fan video, instead of singing the original line, "Tired of being compared to damn Britney Spears," Pink swapped the last three words for "sweet Britney Spears." She continued, "She's so pretty. That just ain't me."
Back in February, Pink reflected on the song and her early friendship with Spears, telling People, "People think I was picking on Britney on [my 2001 single] 'Don't Let Me Get Me,' but I've always felt like a big sister to her. I'm very protective of her, and she's the sweetest person in the world." The outlet noted that the two were not in contact at that time, but Pink said,...

“The least I can do is pay it forward, because if you pay it forward, and they pay it forward, we all can come up together!” she said.

“The 1619 Project” creator Nikole Hannah-Jones needed just one word to describe what it was like to pose on the red-white-and-blue carpet with Oprah Winfrey.
“Insane!” Hannah-Jones told Variety as she made her way down the line of reporters outside the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures in Los Angeles on Thursday night. “This was a lot, but it feels amazing.”
The journalist — a “print reporter” she likes to note, meaning she’s not quite used to the “lights, camera, action” style that TV news requires — cut a striking figure on the carpet, wearing an emerald green velvet gown which set off her signature red hair, plus her signature diamond necklace with “Nikole” written in cursive and custom gold “1619” hoop earrings.
Photographers called for her to look this way, that way, and “over the shoulder” as she posed with her collaborators, executive producer and director Roger Ross Williams and showrunner Shoshana Guy.

Miley Cyrus is getting a head start on her New Year’s Resolution.
The singer appeared on NBC’s upcoming “A Toast to 2022!” special and spoke with Hoda Kotb about her goal for 2023.
“I guess my resolution would really be — my instinct is very loud, but I’m not a great listener sometimes,” she said, via People. “Dolly [Parton] was telling me, her husband [Carl Thomas Dean] says, ‘You’re not hard of hearing. You’re hard of listening.’ And I guess that would kind of be my resolution, to not just listen to myself, but listen to others.”

After news broke Wednesday morning that Stephen “Twitch” Boss died by suicide, celebrities and artists paid tribute to the late dancer and “Ellen DeGeneres Show” DJ.
Posting a lengthy statement to Instagram, Questlove wrote, “I have no words man. May his family find resolution in this dark time. May we all find peace of mind in our everyday lives. Everyday is a winding road and you just may never know who is on the edge. A lot of us can’t process emotions & how to deal with it. I’ll admit yesterday was rotten and every minuscule occurrence of a Murphy’s Law nature sent me spiraling.”
Questlove continued, “Take time out for yourselves if you feel like you’re on the edge
Loni Love, sharing video footage from Boss’ 40th birthday party, wrote, “A kind soul and a sweet person… that is how I will remember Twitch… This was his 40th birthday party…...

Loni Love knows how to keep a secret — even if it’s really difficult to do.
The comedian walked the carpet at the 45th Kennedy Center Honors on Sunday in Washington, D.C., and she spoke with Et’s Deidre Behar about Keke Palmer’s big baby bump reveal during her “Saturday Night Live” monologue over the weekend.
“We were DMing each other, because I was trying to keep it a secret,” Love said, implying that it wasn’t easy to stay silent with such exciting news. “I was like… ‘Ok, Auntie Loni is gonna be quiet!'”
“But I just loved the way that she did it, and we’re so happy for her, and she’s happy and healthy, and that’s what matters,” Love added. “Congratulations, Keke!”
As for whether or not she’s down to help baby sit in the future, Love exclaimed, “Yes, I am!
