Donald Trump is hitting back at the New York Times after the newspaper published a collection of personal stories from women who either met or knew the presumptive Gop nominee before the 2016 presidential election. Dozens of women - involved in every facet of his businesses, including modeling and real estate, as well as some that were romantically linked to Trump - were interviewed by the Times, revealing shocking alleged encounters and anecdotes. When Kylan Arianna Wenzel takes the stage Saturday for the preliminary round of the Miss California USA pageant, the tall knockout will be representing a lot more than her hometown.
Wenzel, 26, will be the first transgender woman allowed to compete in a Miss Universe Organization pageant since Donald Trump changed the rules to allow women like Wenzel to enter officially.
Trump made the change last spring, after Miss Canada finalist Jenna Talackova was disqualified from the competition because she was not a "naturally born female.”
The disqualification became an international embarrassment for Trump after Talackova hired high-powered attorney Gloria Allred, accusing him of discrimination. Over 20,000 people signed a Change.org petition asking Trump to change the contest rules.
In a profile published this week in Frontiers magazine, Wenzel said that she has dreamed of becoming Miss Universe since she was a little girl, watching Miss USA Brook Lee bring the...

As Olivia Culpo took her predictable winner's walk down the runway as the first Miss USA to win Miss Universe in 15 years, she was -- as they all are-- smiling, crying and fidgeting to keep her crown in place.
But something else was different. The 20-year-old Boston University sophomore is a brown-haired, brown-eyed woman who looks more like Salma Hayek than Gwyneth Paltrow. This could be a symbol of progress. It could be that as a culture we are broadening our image of physical perfection to be more inclusive and representative of society.
Many perhaps were expecting a stereotypical American - blond-haired and blue-eyed in the mold of Grace Kelly, Marilyn Monroe, Cheryl Tiegs, Kate Hudson, Kirsten Dunst and Amanda Seyfried.
But perusing past Miss USA winners, all of them genetically blessed no matter what the color of their hair, an interesting trend emerges. Since 2000, eight Miss USA winners (including Culpo) have been brunettes,...

At long last, a real meal!
After months of following a strict high-protein, low-carbohydrate diet, Olivia Culpo, who was crowned Miss Universe 2012 on Wednesday night, revealed to TMZ the contents of Thursday's much-deserved victory meal. The Rhode Island native ordered room service, feasting on penne pasta with chicken and red sauce (carbs: check), bread (more carbs: check) and half a cupcake (sweets, which before Thursday were limited to pineapple and yogurt: check).
Culpo, who attends Boston University, said she was planning to indulge in some cookie dough ice cream as well but refrained. She said she plans to go all out and eat a Reese's Peanut Butter Cup soon.
After winning Miss USA in June, Culpo revealed her relatively sparse diet to Shape magazine. It consisted of meal replacement bars, mashed sweet potatoes, green vegetables, unsalted almonds (her "go-to snack"), yogurt, pineapple and bananas. The food she missed most?...

Though Olivia admits her fall was 'inevitable,' she was worried it might cost her the Miss Universe crown! Boston University student Olivia Culpo was crowned the new Miss Universe on Dec. 19, even though she almost fell down on stage! "It's terrifying, but I knew that was going to happen," she admitted Dec. 20 on the Today show. "That dress on that floor in those shoes — it was inevitable. I'm just happy I didn't fall on my face!" We're happy she didn't fall down, too — even though watching people fall down on runways is one of HollywoodLife.com's most cherished pastimes. Olivia, 20, beat 88 other pageant contestants to become the first Miss America to win Miss Universe since Brook Lee snagged the title in 1997. She believes a victory for the U.S. will help raise the country's morale following the tragic shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Conn. "It does feel really good,...

Of course, we all know that the Miss Universe pageant is completely mislabeled, since it’s impossible for us to know whether the 89 women competing really are the most beautiful (inside and out, remember! Inside and out!) in the universe. I’ve heard, after all, the Queen of Venus is quite the looker. So let’s call the pageant, which airs tonight at 9 p.m. Et on NBC, what we really should: Miss Donald Trump’s Universe.
Over the past week, talk about the pageant has focused on Miss Colombia, Catalina Robayo, who was reprimanded by the show’s organizers (and,...
