John Wayne Gacy was one of the most notorious serial killers in U.S. history, having killed at least 33 young men and boys. Yet two investigators who worked on the case told TheWrap they didn’t actually “hate” the man known as the “Killer Clown.”
Michael Albrecht, an investigator who was part of Gacy’s surveillance unit, and retired Des Plaines, Ill., police officer Rafael Tovar spoke to TheWrap ahead of Thursday’s premiere of the Peacock series “John Wayne Gacy: Devil in Disguise.”
