Welcome back to another review of Aew Dark: Elevation, which features a sub-1 hour show this week, with only 8 matches on the card, which pleases me a Lot! We’ve got Paul Wight and Matt Menard on commentary, so let’s get into the review.
Match #1: Emi Sakura, Marina Shafir and Nyla Rose def. Johnnie Robbie, Vipress and Zyra
My Thoughts: This match saw a return to the Shafir/Rose/Vickie squabbles that we’ve seen previously – they’re obviously building to the split between the trio but at the same time I’ve enjoyed the teaming of Nyla Rose’s intensity with Vickie Guerrero’s brash attitude and I’ll miss it when the split does happen. As for this match? It felt more like an angle than a match but still, an Aew quasi-squash is still an Aew quasi-squash!
My Score: 1 out of 5 Match #2: Daniel Garcia def.

Another week, another episode of Aew: Dark which emanates from Aew Universal once again. We’ve got Taz and Excalibur on commentary as usual, so let’s get to the action!
Match #1: John Silver def. Serpentico
My Thoughts: This was a really solid start to this week’s show. Serpentico was his usual reliable self (even if we did get a screaming Luther in his corner) and so was Silver. A great match even if this felt like something of a showcase for Silver on the road to the Trios Championship final.
My Score: 3 out of 5 Match #2: Diamante def. Charlette Renegade
My Thoughts: Diamante’s back! It’s been some weeks since we’ve seen her in action, just a shame she had to come back to Renegade Sisters shenanigans, which totally took away from this match this week rather than adding to it.
My Score: 1.5 out of 5 Match #3: Angelo Parker def.

It’s time for this week’s review of Aew: Dark, which once again comes from Aew: Universal. I’m always surprised by how much difference there is between Aew’s smaller Universal Studios audience and Impact’s small weekly audience. Aew still seem to make it sound like the crowd is into the action even when they’re quiet.
Match #1: Lee Johnson vs. Darian Bengston
My Thoughts: This was decidedly average. The only thing that stood out about this match was the fact the crowd were behind Darian Bengston more than they were Lee Johnson. Maybe Big Shotty needs a reboot to get over with the fans?
My Score: 1.5 out of 5 Match #2: Sonny Kiss def. Ashton Starr
My Thoughts: This was an example of the Aew quasi-squash match, with Starr given just enough offence to not make this a complete squash match for Sonny Kiss. Speaking of which,...

Welcome to this weeks review of Aew: Dark which, like its namesake Elevation, is a shorter show this week. Thank god. Like the show, let’s keep this review short and sweet too – let’s go!
Match #1: Dark Order def. Jake St. Patrick, Sage Scott, & Chandler Hopkins
My Thoughts: Godammit, Evil Uno and Stu Grayson are good, aren’t they? They made this look easy, ebbig and flowing, tagging in and out, destroying the team of St. Patrick, Scott and Hopkins. Throw Reynolds in the mix and you have. tremendous trios team! Hell, throw Any Drak Order member in with Uno and Grayson and you have a damn good Trios team! Short and sweet.
My score: 3 out of 5 Match #2: Team Taz def. Brick Aldridge, Justin Law, & Hayden Backlund
My Thoughts: A Backlund… on Aew? Ok, so Hayden might only be a distant relation of the legendary Bob Backlund but still.

Welcome to the first review of Aew Dark: Elevation here on Nerdly. The first you say? But this is episode 3, how can this be the first review? Well, if I’m honest, I thought the first episode of Elevation was so bad I actually turned it off before the end of the show… bad as in it just felt like a retread of Dark; there was nothing – in my opinion – to distinguish it from Aew’s other YouTube show. So, with a sour taste in my mouth from the debut episode, I also skipped episode 2 last week. I didn’t even watch it. But you know, Aew fan boy that I am I had to give Elevation another go… Which leads us to this review!
Match #1: Orange Cassidy & Chuck Taylor def. Jd Drake & Ryan Nemeth
My Thoughts: This match had two things going for it. Orange Cassidy’s brillaint...
