Spike TV is eliminating several key positions on the East Coast. Jim Burns, senior vp sports and specials, and Marc Edwards, senior vp marketing, were ousted at the network last week. Both executives had been with the channel since parent company Viacom rebranded it as Spike TV. Also out is Ivana Schecter-Garcia, director of news and operations. Turnover is nothing new at Spike TV from the top down; Comedy Central chief Doug Herzog replaced Albie Hecht as president of the channel in February. The network also bid goodbye to Peilin Chou, former vp original series, who since has relocated to senior vp programming and production at AZN Television.
