Set as a direct sequel to Never Hike Alone (2017) and Never Hike in the Snow (2020), Never Hike Alone 2 picks up with Crystal Lake’s haunted son, Tommy Jarvis (Thom Mathews), who has all but given up on his search for the long lost Jason Voorhees (Vincente Disanti).
However, when Tommy receives an emergency call to pick up injured hiker Kyle McLeod (Andrew Leighty), he will once again come face-to-face with the ghost of Crystal Lake, setting into motion a blood-soaked conclusion to their deadly rivalry.

It’s Friday the 13th, and what better day could there be to compile a list like Friday the 13th Movies Ranked? While this list is all in good fun, I have to admit that I found it to be surprisingly difficult to put together. That’s because the Friday the 13th franchise is my favorite of all franchises and I love every one of these films. Ranking them was like trying to rank my major internal organs. Some may work better than others, but I need them all! I struggled to decide which order to put them in, and ended up listing them based on which ones I would most like to watch at any given time. So here they are, listed from “Yes, put that movie on right now!” to “Sure, okay, let’s watch it.” Check it out, then let us know how you would rank the...

In 1984, Jason Voorhees (Ted White) finally met his end in Joseph Zito's "Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter." He was finally dead. In 1991, Freddy Krueger (Robert Englund) finally met his end in Rachel Talalay's "Freddy's Dead: The Final Nightmare." He was finally dead. In 1993, Jason Voorhees met his end again in Adam Marcus' "Jason Goes to Hell: The Final Friday." He was finally dead again. In 1994, Freddy Krueger finally met his end again in "Wes Craven's New Nightmare." He was finally dead again.

Carrie (1976)
The first Stephen King adaptation also ranks highly as one of the best. Director Brian De Palma and screenwriter Lawrence D. Cohen brought King’s story to the screen with a great script and great style, with Sissy Spacek and Piper Laurie turning in Oscar-nominated performances as telekinetic teen Carrie and her horrendous mother. Carrie is bullied at school and has an awful home life. We care about her, we want to see things get better for her. But good things are not to be.

Gun Interactive’s The Texas Chain Saw Massacre video game hasn’t even been released yet and already people are begging for fan-favorite sequel characters to be added. But they shouldn’t expect to be able to download Lefty, Chop Top or any other classic additions in the near future.
Wes Keltner, who serves as Gun Interactive’s CEO and president, took to Twitter to tell potential players of The Texas Chain Saw Massacre game that they shouldn’t get their hopes up for the appearance of a single sequel character or location anytime soon. “Friendly reminder. We have the interactive rights to the 1974 film. We can’t put characters or locations in from other TX films because we don’t have those rights. Demanding we add them is not how Hollywood works. Licensing in general is usually a total mess.” Still, he offered a glimpse of hope, writing, “For clarity.

The old showbiz maxim goes, "Never work with children or animals," but what about mogwai? That was Zach Galligan's challenge on the set of Joe Dante's 1984 creature feature "Gremlins." Part black comedy and part family adventure, the Chris Columbus-penned story follows a young man who receives a mythic furry creature as a pet and, once that pet multiplies, the havoc that ensues. Against an 11 million production budget, "Gremlins" earned more than 150 million at the box office and became a game-changer of sorts; its violent sequences (including a mother's gremlin killing spree) prompted the MPAA to amend its rating system to include the PG-13 rating.
The film's human star, Zach Galligan, spent a fair amount of the 106-minute runtime acting opposite an assortment of Chris Walas-designed mechanical puppets. As young Billy Peltzer, Galligan interacts largely with the cutest of all gremlins, the googly-eyed furball Gizmo, teaching the...

Horror has always been a matter of perspective. The maniac with a knife just isn’t as intimidating when he’s facing off against a Swat team, and the only thing keeping Predator from turning into an all-out slasher flick is the size of the protagonists’ biceps. It’s a lot easier to fear for a helpless victim, and that’s why it makes sense that so many scary stories focus on children and childhood fears.
After all, what’s more vulnerable than a child? And with so many child-centric scary movies out there, we’ve come up with this list celebrating six of the best “Final Kid” performances in horror.
Talented child actors are hard to come by, so I think it’s time to shine a light on the pint-sized survivors that helped to make some of our favorite horror flicks so memorable.
While this list is based on personal opinion,...

For the last few years, Paramount has been giving the Friday the 13th movies they released in the 1980s 40th anniversary steelbook Blu-ray releases. The original Friday the 13th got its steelbook release in 2020, and you can pick that up Here. Friday the 13th Part 2 got its steelbook release in 2021, and you can buy that one at This Link. Friday the 13th Part III followed its predecessors in 2022, and you can get that steelbook Here. There was no Friday the 13th movie released in 1983, Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter didn’t come along until ’84, so I was wondering if Paramount was going to wait an extra year to release a steelbook for that one… and the answer is no. Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter is getting a steelbook Blu-ray release for its 39th anniversary, and it’s already available for pre-order on Amazon!

In the wake of the first three films in the franchise getting a SteelBook release, we’ve learned that Paramount is next bringing Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter to SteelBook Blu-ray.
Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter comes to SteelBook Blu-ray on January 10, 2023, following in the wake of solo Steelbooks for the first two movies as well as an 8-film Steelbook set.
Like the previous movies, this new Steelbook release features a pre-existing disc housed inside of new packaging, so there’s nothing new here aside from that Steelbook case.
“This new Lmited Edition Blu-ray SteelBook celebrates the iconic fourth installment in the Friday the 13th franchise, remastered in 2020 from original film elements.
“Picking up immediately from Part 3, Jason’s killing spree continues despite being presumed dead. As the body count rises upon Jason’s return to Crustal Lake, a young boy named Tommy Jarvis finds himself a potential opponent of the unstoppable killer.

Released in 1984, Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter (watch it Here) has one of the most inaccurate titles ever… which is easy to forgive when the movie also happens to be one of the best slashers ever made. This article contains Jason X spoilers
Anyone watching a Friday the 13th movie today comes to the classic slasher franchise with more than a few expectations. They want to see Jason Voorhees, of course, complete with his hockey mask and machete. But they likely also want to see some intellectually-challenged teens (played by people in their late 20s and early 30s) get torn apart by a lumbering monster they could never hope to stop.
It may surprise some Friday neophytes to learn that as formulaic as the series may be, not every entry contains all of those expected elements. Not only is Jason not in Part I (save for a closing stinger) and Part V, but he doesn’t get the hockey mask until midway through Part III and isn’t an undead killing machine until Part VI. Simply put, the idea of Jason in the public consciousness is usually...

“Search every ravine, every crevice, but the fiend must be found!”
Frankenstein (1931), James Whale
At the end of Frankenstein, angry townspeople are sent into a maniacal rage after a man wanders into town like a trance-induced zombie carrying his drowned daughter. No one knows what events transpired to cause her unfortunate death, but they are so easily swayed to fear an unknown assailant that they light their torches and grab their pitchforks without question. They are so quick to embrace revenge. They want to kill what they fear, even if they’ve never seen it. But even more so, they want their fears to be validated.
A festering wound that has lingered in Haddonfield has suddenly burst open in Halloween Kills, and even if half the townspeople can’t put a face to their fear, they’ve taken it upon themselves to face their fear with trial by fire.
