He is an author, journalist, producer and actor, known as an executive producer of Amazon's "Alpha House," the author of three New York Times bestsellers on American history and politics, political journalism in many publications, and his commentary on NBC News and MSNBC, the Colbert Report, the Daily Show, Real Time with Bill Maher, Charlie Rose, Nightline, Late Show with David Letterman, among others.
