S.E. Cupp, the longtime political analyst and CNN contributor will have more to say during the run-up to the 2024 presidential election on a new roundtable program for Fox-owned TV stations.
Fox intends to air “Battleground” starting June 10 every Monday across all of its owned-and-operated stations as well as Wccb, a CW station in Charlotte, Nc. After nine weeks, the program will expand to five days a week starting August 12. th.
“Battleground” will focus intently on issues and politics in seven critical swing states — and in doing so, may help Fox capture what is expected to be a heady flow of ad dollars from political ad campaigns spending heavily in Senate races, among others.
“In what is shaping up to be a record political advertising year in local media, this initiative positions us to reap the benefits of exuberant spending on all sides,” says Stephen Brown, executive vice president of programming...

Jay Leno’s touch couldn’t help pal Arsenio Hall make it beyond one season in his return to late-night. After weeks of speculation, CBS Television Distribution has made a decision not to proceed with a second season of the syndicated Arsenio Hall Show, despite renewing the show for Season 2 in February after securing a two-year deal with the Tribune stations pre-launch. Leno surprised Hall in February when he made his first TV appearance after departing The Tonight Show to give him the news of the show’s renewal. But, after a stellar launch (1.9 in households, 1.0 in adults 18-49), The Arsenio Hall Show quickly faded in the ratings and never bounced back, despite a boost from a highly-rated Prince episode in March and appearances by Leno and Eddie Murphy. Cbstd tried righting the ship with an executive producer change in October when Eric Pankowski replaced Neal Kendall at the helm.

"The Arsenio Hall Show," is the syndicated return of the titular host to late-night television. At the TCA press tour on Monday (July 29), Hall -- along with executive producers Neal Kendall and John Ferriter -- presented his new show.
What sort of show will it be?
To say that Arsenio Hall was eager to get going with his new show was an understatement. As the lights came up after the sizzle reel, Hall was already talking about his phone and Twitter. The host-to-be paused only when the official Mc for the panel had to do an introduction.
Hall didn't think that he would need to steal his audience from one or more of the competitor late-night shows. Instead, Arsenio thinks he'll be playing to those who don't already have a show that speaks to them. As Ferriter, one of the executive producers put it: "There are 290 million Americans who don't watch late night.

At a panel for "The Arsenio Hall Show" during press tour, Hall (joined by executive producers Neal Kendall and John Ferriter) seemed eager to let everyone know that, though it's been almost 20 years since he left late night, he's raring to return in the late night format. While a clip of greatest moments from his old series seemed to confirm he may have been out of circulation a little too long (he promised not to bring back the massive shoulder pads from the era, unless audiences want them), he swears he's still a young whippersnapper who loves social media --...
