- Michael was knocked unconscious while taking a plunge from the 3rd floor of a Holiday Inn in Panama City, Fl. into the pool 40 feet below. His friends thankfully were there to pull him out of the water before he drowned.
- Diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes at the age of 16.
- Michael was a Track and Field star in high-school. Voted team captain, MVP, and still holding several records, he lettered all four years of high-school. He currently holds the state record for the Triple-Jump in New Hampshire, the school record for the javelin, and the season record for the 100m. sprint.
- At 6'4 inches tall, he was the least effective player on his basketball team. In his best season, he scored 4 points total. One basket in one game and one basket in another game.
- Michael was elected School Leader by his peers in New Hampshire.
