Amara Ja'Nai Rutledge-Rodriguez was born in Long Island, NY on August 30th 2016, and moved to Atlanta GA in 2019.
She started off in modeling at the age of 3 months old. Her first job booked was Target.
She shot her first commercial at 18 months for Fisher Price.
Amara has been a participant in a number of fashion shows.
At age 3, Amara recorded her first single "Poppin", she recorded 2 more songs at age 4 "I'm Cute" and "Whitney sing"
Amara's First film was Lifetime Movie Network's "Deadly Due Date" filmed when she was only 4 years old.
At age 5, Amara started vocal training with Willie Norwood Sr.
In the beginning of 2022 Amara was cast in a student film "The Plan" playing the role of "Delilah" the daughter of the two main characters.
A few weeks after she finished filming, Amara received a special invite to audition for the role of "Baby Carrie" in the film "The Color Purple Musical". Amara aced her audition and booked the role.
This was an epic moment for Amara because this was her first Screen Actors Guild project.
