- Annie Award-nominated Kacey Arnold uses the stage and the page as a place to speak the truths about life, the ludicrous, and the lessons to be found.
A graduate of NYU's Tisch School of the Arts where she wrote, produced, and directed a feature, Kacey then spent many years as an assistant to Showrunners, producers, directors, and executives while honing her stand-up (and her coffee making skills) before she finally became a full-time writer/producer herself.
To date, her top three career highlights are losing an Annie Award to Matt Stone and Trey Parker (thereby learning it really is an honor just to be nominated), getting a self-deprecating Barbie to do a spit take (before Greta made her even cooler), and becoming a LEGO Mini Figure(!!) while serving as Co-Producer/Head Writer of LEGO Friends: Girls on a Mission (so now she can play with herself in public.)
Kacey's humor and real-life experiences add unexpected depth and wit to global IP from Barbie to Lego. She has developed content for companies including Titmouse, Peacock, Nickelodeon, The Jim Henson Company, Mattel, Spinmaster, MGA, The Sesame Workshop, and Pinkfong USA.
Honing her voice on stage has allowed her to bring her unique perspective to all she does. Her most personal project was producing and directing the documentary A Guy Called Dad about her father's mental health struggles and her journey of understanding. Kacey is proud the film has been used as a teaching tool by the National Alliance of Mental Illness and enjoys receiving emails to this day from families who can identify with the struggles of loving someone with mental health issues.
Kacey has also performed nationally as a comedian, hosted a variety of live shows, and was the face of a national Big Lots campaign. She recently started the podcast Surviving the Dream, with fellow writer/comedian, David Conolly, wrote her first book, ...That's Why I'm Single, and continues to develop stories for all ages for the big and small screen including optioning a book she cannot yet share... but soon!
Kacey believes "Pain is humor. Pain for pain's sake, no thank you." If she can share a lesson with someone that they wouldn't have otherwise gotten, it's all been worthwhile.- IMDb Mini Biography By: Kacey Arnold - Annie-Nominated writer, Kacey Arnold, is a graduate of NYU's Tisch School of the Arts where she wrote, produced, and directed a feature called "Your Room or Mine?"
