This article contains spoilers for the “NCIS: Los Angeles” series finale.
“NCIS: Los Angeles” showrunner R. Scott Gemmill’s goal with the series finale on Sunday, May 21 was to give the characters of the long-running CBS procedural as happy an ending as possible.
“It really was about trying to find a way to wrap up the series that would leave the fans feeling hopeful for the future of all our characters. And so we gave everyone what we figured was their version of happily ever after… at least for the time being,” he told TheWrap in a recent interview.
To that end, in the final episode, Callen (Chris O’Donnell) and Anna (Bar Paly) tie the knot in an impromptu ceremony attended by the rest of the team — except for Hetty (Linda Hunt), who sends a congratulatory note.

“It was a wild ride,” exclaims 2x Primetime Emmy nominated Grace and Frankie production designer Devorah Herbert about the final season of the Netflix/Skydance Jane Fonda-Lily Tomlin series.
A pinnacle task for Herbert no thanks to the pandemic’s impact on production: Tearing down all the sets she previously built on the hit series at Paramount Studios and rebuilding them at Sunset Gower.
You can listen to our conversation below:
Two weeks of shutdown in early 2020 turned into months with Herbert finally receiving word in November of that year that she had to “put six years of work into the dumpsters.”
“That was really rough,” she adds on today’s Crew Call, “We tore millions of dollars of sets apart and put them in the trash…We kept the set dressing in storage.”
But then a month later, Herbert got the call that Grace and Frankie was...

When “Grace and Frankie” debuted in May of 2015, it’s doubtful even creators Marta Kauffman and Howard J. Morris or stars Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin would have expected the show to have such long-lasting sucess. But the Netflix comedy was a juggernaut hit for the streaming platform, and kind of a unicorn in terms of its longevity. Upon its final season, which arrives this month, “Grace and Frankie” is the longest-running Netflix original series in the history of the service. But as the old adage says, all good things must come to an end.
On Thursday, the official trailer for the seventh and final season of “Grace and Frankie” was released by Netflix and the marketing materials tease an emotional farewell to the long-running comedy series.

The end is approaching for Grace and Frankie, and we are not ready to say goodbye.
Netflix on Thursday dropped a full-length trailer for the final 12 episodes of the heartwarming comedy series.
The trailer is essentially a celebration of our titular leads' relationship, which has taken many forms throughout the seven seasons.
Whatever anyone says about their friendship, it cannot be denied that they love each other deeply, and their lives were forever changed when they were bonded forever.
"Seven years ago, Grace and Frankie’s lives turned upside down when their longtime husbands left them for… each other," the logline teases.
"Both sparring partners and partners-in-crime, Grace and Frankie formed an unlikely and unbreakable bond as they faced uncertain futures head-on, and hand-in-hand."
"They’ve laughed together, cried together, did shrooms together, and twice-over became successful entrepreneurs together," it continues.
"A history-making 94 episodes later, Grace and Frankie continue to show themselves,...

“It was a crazy ride but I’d rather take a crazy ride with you than a normal ride with anybody else.”
So says Grace (Jane Fonda), as she and best roomie Frankie (Lily Tomlin) prepare for the end of Grace and Frankie, Netflix’s longest-running original series. By the time it’s all over this season, the comedy from Marta Kauffman and Howard J. Morris will have made a whopping 94 episodes.
The trailer for the seventh and final season that returns April 29 looks back at the good times, and those memorable moments when Grace dropped the F-bomb to make an important point. For those who haven’t sampled the laugher that also stars Martin Sheen and Sam Waterston (and seriously why have you not?), the comedy is about a pair of divorcées (masterfully played by Fonda and Tomlin) whose husbands left them to marry each other.

Exclusive: Landmark Studio Group, a Chicken Soup for the Soul Entertainment company, has partnered with District 33 (BlackBalled) to develop and produce Shadows in the Vineyard, a limited event drama series based on journalist Maximillian Potter’s bestselling book Shadows in the Vineyard: The True Story of the Plot to Poison The World’s Greatest Wine, with Noah Wyle and Judith Light attached to star and executive produce. Though the day of cupid’s arrow is still a month away, that doesn’t stop the studios from trying to heat up these frigid Winter nights (and matinees). And, for at least this February 14, the holiday is claimed by Christian Gray and company (add joke about restraining cherubs). As foretold by its PG rating, this romance is pretty gentle, though it’s also based on a literary “heart-tugger”. Plus it’s got a “mighty strong” country kick with its locale and music (soundtrack and setting). so Hollywood’s hoping for a “long term relationship” rather than a one night (or single viewing) stand with Forever My Girl.
The little town of St. Augustine, Louisiana is all abuzz on this sunny warm afternoon. Home town boy Liam Page’s first CD is climbing the charts (everyone’s heard his hit song on the radio). And today he’s marrying his...

New friends, death, knee replacements, relationship problems, dementia, scam artists, grandchildren, and escaped zoo animals are just some of the topics covered during Grace and Frankie Season 4.
All of them are skillfully and entertainingly woven into the onset of old age and how it feels to know that someday, you might not be able to take care of yourself as you have for so long.
It's one of the most horrifying thoughts when faced with a long life (and who wants the alternative?), but Grace and Frankie examines the issue from every possible direction with its familiar tones of friendship, comedy, and exasperating family both helping and tossing hurdles into the way of the glorious titular characters.
Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin are still are top form as Grace and Frankie, who were parting ways at the end of Season 3 so Frankie could not only pursue her relationship with Jacob...

Six episodes were provided for review prior to release.
The third season of Netflix’s Grace and Frankie opens with Frankie (Lily Tomlin) dancing down the beach pursued by dozens of animated vibrators – an indelible image that sets the tone for the rest of the series. From there, things picks up right where season 2 ended: with Grace (Jane Fonda) and Frankie embarking on their plan to make a line of sex toys for older women, as the pair attempts to secure funding for and develop their project amid family squabbles, personal conflicts and their own complicated relationship.
Society’s insistence on the irrelevancy of older women is a major theme that runs through Grace and Frankie, coming to a head here in the third season. Having raised their children – and lost their husbands – the two main characters are meant to fall into comfortable obscurity, with nothing further to contribute to the running of the world.

Almost Famous auteur Cameron Crowe this Sunday invited you to go on tour with the Roadies for the Staton-House Band. Will you stick around for upcoming dates?
In quick (and shamelessly Showtime-y) fashion, Roadies first introduces us to tour manager Bill (played by Luke Wilson) as he unwittingly beds a bigwig promoter’s (very) young daughter — which is par for the course for the divorcé, production manager Shelli (Carla Gugino) later points out. The premiere revolves around the Staton-House Band’s tour stop in New Orleans, where we next meet Kelly Ann (Imogen Poots), an electrician on the cusp of...
