Tooske graduated from high school in Zwolle in the eastern part of the Netherlands and went on to earn a degree in English Language and Literature from Utrecht University. She took her first steps into television as a VJ on music stations TMF and MTV. Tooske captured the hearts of a national viewing audience as the presenter of Idols on Dutch television station RLT4. She then gained international experience in Germany as the co-presenter of the hit Deutschland sucht den Superstar television show that attracted tens of millions of German, Austrian and Swiss viewers. Tooske successfully presented this hugely popular talent contest for two seasons live and in German. In her distinctively clear, charming and upbeat style she presents dozens of programmes on both public and commercial Dutch stations. They include large-scale live events such as the Dutch Musical Awards Gala, the Televizierring Gala (Dutch Television Awards Gala), Het Beste Idee van Nederland (The Netherlands' best idea) and the Staatsloterij Oudejaarsfeest (Dutch National Lottery's New Year's Eve Celebration) broadcast.
