With its riveting story and incredible 11-season run, Frank Darabont’s horror-drama series, The Walking Dead, has solidified its place in popular culture. The AMC series ended its run after 177 overwhelming and entertaining episodes, but it is still winning our hearts. Indeed, the undead universe is thriving more than ever, as evidenced by several acclaimed spin-off series, including The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon, starring the inimitable Norman Reedus.

Due to its great popularity, the second season of The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon has already been renewed. Well, if you’re a fan of The Walking Dead, you probably already know that the cast and crew spend a lot of time together filming. And with such close quarters and long hours on set, it’s no surprise that they might have a complaint or two about each other.

The world was introduced to an iconic show back in 2010 when AMC’s The Walking Dead premiered. Being a show about the undead and societal collapse in a post-apocalyptic world, the show ran for 11 seasons before its conclusion!
During the run of the show, iconic actor Norman Reedus portrayed the role of Daryl Dixon in The Walking Dead. Being an integral character of the show, Reedus was there for all the big moments. However, doing his own stunts cost the actor quite a lot of pain, and hence… quite a lot of Advil!
Norman Reedus in The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon Norman Reedus Wouldn’t Have Done So Many Stunts Himself!
If he knew the number of injuries that he would sustain while filming The Walking Dead, Reedus would not have done so many stunts himself. That is exactly what Reedus said after talking about how many injuries he had sustained.

The Walking Dead is incomplete without Andrew Lincoln’s protagonistic character Rick Grimes. Similarly it’s hard to imagine the show without Norman Reedus’ Daryl Dixon, or his on-screen best friend, Carol Peletier, played by Melissa McBride. Over the years and throughout the episodes, these original characters have been embedded in the hearts and minds of the devout fans of the show.

AMC’s The Walking Day is one of those shows that had had a fabulous run throughput. Debuting in 2010, the post-apocalyptic zombie horror drama had many immaculate character developments and the series has given birth to several spin-off series including, Fear the Walking Dead, Tales of the Walking Dead, The Walking Dead: Dead City, and most recently, The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live. However, Dixon was not a character from the original comic book The Walking Dead was based on.

In the post-apocalyptic horror world of The Walking Dead, relationships can be fleeting and rare. Daryl Dixon, the beloved loner played by Norman Reedus, has suffered from a fair amount of grief and heartbreak throughout the series. So when a potential love interest came knocking in the form of Leah (played by Lynn Collins) in season 10, fans were thrilled as well as hesitant.
Can a man hardened by loss and survival find space for romance in a world overrun by walkers? Well, regrettably, following his brief on-screen romance with Collins in season 10, Reedus had to deal with the wrath of The Walking Dead fans, who were gripped by intense emotions.

No dart gun, or First Omen, or Monkey Man will put Legendary/Warner Bros’ Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire to sleep this weekend. The pic, after an unexpected $80 million Easter weekend start, will continue to rumble with a 55%-60% second-weekend drop to between $32M-$36M. Through four days, the Adam Wingard-directed Monsterverse title stands at $87.7M, fueled by 57% of K-12 schools out Monday and another 14% colleges. Expect more cash today as, per Comscore, there are 28% of K-12 school out, and 5% universities.
Currently, both First Omen and Monkey Man are expected to come in around the same level — $12M to low teens. 20th Century Studios’ First Omen, despite being an R-rated horror movie, skews a little bit more female, while Universal/Monkeypaw’s Dev Patel feature directorial debut is more men.

The tale of John Carter has been iconic in the realm of science fiction novels for a long time, as it started way before Frank Herbert wrote his sci-fi epic, Dune. Unfortunately, the story hasn’t had the best fate in the world of movies, with several attempts never reaching their full potential due to development hell, but in 2012, Disney took the risk and created a film based on the Barsoom series written by Edgar Rice Burroughs.
Things didn’t go well for Andrew Stanton’s adaptation, called John Carter, as it became one of the biggest box-office bombs of all time, but our close sources say that the character is set to make a comeback.

The end is almost here. The Walking Dead, the show that wanted to live forever, is now coming to a close…sort of. Though the series based on Robert Kirkman’s long-running zombie comic of the same name is airing its series finale on Nov. 20, the franchise itself will carry on in the form of numerous spinoffs.
Still, spinoffs or no, this is a fairly big moment in genre TV history. First premiering on Halloween night 2010, The Walking Dead was an instant ratings success for AMC and remained as such for much of its 11 seasons. It helped usher in a new era of fandom-friendly television for its network (which was coming off big prestige hits like Mad Men and Breaking Bad) and helped bring zombies back into the mainstream. With the 24th episode of its 11th season, The Walking Dead will finally be calling it quits.

Lynn Collins started her journey as Leah during The Walking Dead Season 10, and it came to a grinding halt during The Walking Dead Season 11 Episode 16.
TV Fanatic got the chance to chat with Collins about her character's demise, whether Leah would have killed Daryl and more.
Scroll down to get up to speed.
TV Fanatic: Leah had a great run. I was surprised how her arc ended. Did you know how it would play out before you signed up for the show?
Lynn: I knew her demise would be the end of the second section, so to speak, of the final season.
Talking to the writers, we would have loved to extend it, but it's just such a big task. It's such a huge ensemble, and they had to prioritize. So as much as we probably all would've liked for it to go on, it kind of had to conclude.

Spoiler Alert: This post contains details of tonight’s The Walking Dead 11B midseason finale.
“Everything I done, and everything I still do is so that we have choices,” says Lauren Cohan’s Maggie Rhee to her young son Hershel (Kien Michael Spiller)in tonight’s latest midseason finale of The Walking Dead. “The place we’re going right now, you may not like it, but I promise you, it is the right choice,” she adds as the zombie apocalypse series reaches the two-thirds point in its 11th and last season.
With the final eight episodes of the AMC show based on Robert Kirkman’s comics set to start later this fall, tonight’s “Acts of God” was certainly a reckoning and a revelation.
The latter for the death of Reaper Leah Shaw (Lynn Collins) by her ex-lover Daryl Dixon (Norman Reedus) as she was about to take out her fatal revenge on Maggie.

[Warning: The following contains Major spoilers for The Walking Dead Season 11, Episode 16, “Acts of God.”] The Walking Dead has been known to have some pretty cliffhanger-fueled midseason finales so we’re pretty excited to see how the events of 11B’s finale turn out when the AMC zombie drama returns for its final eight episodes. In “Acts of God,” locusts descend upon our survivors providing cover for an intense hunt between Maggie (Lauren Cohan) and former Reaper Leah (Lynn Collins), the latter of whom is later shot and killed. Meanwhile, another group of our favorite apocalypse survivors assembles to reveal the truth about the “idyllic” society from the inside. We also see Daryl (Norman Reedus), Gabriel (Seth Gilliam) and Aaron (Ross Marquand) really get under the skin of the Commonwealth’s slimiest government official, Lance Hornsby (Josh Hamilton), whose devilish coin flip closes out the episode. We can only imagine what torment he has planned for our survivors,...

If you've been struggling to understand where The Walking Dead Season 11 is going, then The Walking Dead Season 11 Episode 16 was likely the episode you've been waiting for.
We had several hints the end was nigh for all of the characters, and the locusts were a nice touch to add to the dread of it all.
Marco's death was both predictable and frustrating.
Yes, we know Leah is essentially a sharpshooter, Terminator-like person with what can only be described as superhuman abilities, but it's difficult to believe she didn't wipe out any of the other characters.
I mean, I know several spinoffs have been ordered, but there are several characters who would have made for a much better midseason finale death to really raise the stakes.
If someone else was to go this episode, I figured it would be Lydia. She's a fantastic character, and as much as I don't want her to die,...

It’s midseason finale time, and you know what that means — the grim reaper is likely hovering over the brave survivors on AMC’s The Walking Dead. Sure, it’s entirely possible that no one dies in the upcoming episode, titled “Acts of God.” But with an episode title like that, are we really thinking no one meets their maker? With that in mind, here are five characters we’re concerned about as we head into the last hour of 11B. Josh Stringer/AMC Leah Leah (Lynn Collins) made an enemy of Maggie Rhee (Lauren Cohan), and enemies of Maggie tend not to live long. While she’s still kind of tied to former love interest Daryl (Norman Reedus) given that he stopped Maggie from killing her, we doubt he’d step in to save her now if it came down to it. And if the mysterious job Hornsby (Josh...

The 2012 Disney blockbuster “John Carter” was always meant to be the start of a new franchise, with co-writer and director Andrew Stanton having mapped out where two sequels would take the characters before the first film even hit theaters. Unfortunately, the disastrous box office performance of the $307 million epic put a halt to franchise plans before they could even begin. “John Carter” was the first and last adaptation of the Edgar Rice Burroughs book series from Disney.

While speaking with TheWrap for our complete and untold history of the development, production and release of “John Carter,” Stanton revealed the planned story for the follow-up that he was working on with co-writer Mark Andrews.

Ten years ago, Disney’s “John Carter” opened nationwide.
Meant to be a potential franchise-starting blockbuster, it was savaged by critics, who called the film “wanly plodding and routine” (Entertainment Weekly), and “a giant, suffocating doughy feast of boredom” (The Guardian), and was met with indifference by general audiences, who simply didn’t show up..
Quickly, the movie and its fate took on a nearly mythical dimension – it wasn’t just a box office disappointment, it was a staggering creative and commercial failure, the kind of movie that is often mentioned in the same breath as other high-profile misfires like “Ishtar” or “Waterworld.”
But the actual story of “John Carter” – how it was conceived, what happened during production, and how it all fell apart thanks largely to a misguided marketing campaign – is much more complex and much more interesting.
Most Hollywood bombs are perceivable early on, through a toxic combination of untested filmmakers,...

Back in 2010, a certain Deputy Sheriff Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) woke up from a coma to discover that the world was in ruins and he would have to lead a group of survivors to stay alive in the face of a zombie apocalypse. It was the start of The Walking Dead phenomenon. Now it draws to a conclusion with the second half of the eleventh and final season hitting our screens on the 20th of this month. The first half was the most in-demand show around when it aired last summer, so who knows what lies in store for part two? Not that it’s a show that does anything by halves.
With spin-offs already in the pipeline – especially one starring Daryl (Norman Reedus) and Carol (Melissa McBride) – it’ll be more a case of “see you soon” instead of “goodbye” as far as some of the characters are concerned.

[Warning: The following contains Major spoilers for The Walking Dead Season 11, Episode 9, “No Other Way.”] The Walking Dead is back, and the 11B premiere of AMC’s post-apocalyptic zombie drama was nothing short of explosive. To recap, after firing many fireworks at our favorite survivors’ heads, Maggie (Lauren Cohan) officially ended the war against the Reapers with a slaughter. A lovelorn Daryl (Norman Reedus), Father Gabriel (Seth Gilliam), redemption-arc Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) and a revenge-seeking Elijah (Okea Eme-Akwari) helped Maggie to obtain the food needed to save the remaining Alexandrians from near-starvation, despite some varying opinions on her little murder spree. Reapers leader and Daryl’s former S.O. Leah (Lynn Collins) escapes. Also, we finally learn the fate of the injured Alden (Callan McAuliffe) after many episodes away; and Negan abandons the group, walking off into the woods (more on that below). But the biggest reveal? Daryl removing a Commonwealth helmet from his head in...

[Warning: The following contains Major spoilers for The Walking Dead Season 11, Episode 9, “No Other Way.”] For those who weren’t fond of the Reapers storyline, great news: You only have to watch another 45-ish minutes of it. Yes, the Reapers arc comes to a close in “No Other Way,” the second-to-last premiere episode that The Walking Dead will ever have. Whether or not you predicted that their demise was coming so soon, you might not have called how it happens… and, specifically, what Maggie (Lauren Cohan) does to make it happen. Here’s how it all goes down. Josh Stringer/AMC Ding-Ding The episode picks up right where it left off, with the group separated and evading the Reapers in their own ways. Daryl (Norman Reedus) barely manages to avoid the newly in-charge Leah (Lynn Collins) and one of her people; Gabriel (Seth Gilliam) has a heavy run-in with the preacher he chose not to kill in...

The Walking Dead Season 11 Episode 9
For all the good that can be achieved with scale in an action setting, there’s nothing like a down-and-dirty scrap for survival. The Walking Dead does big battle scenes well, especially given the limitations of a television budget and shooting schedule, but when the show narrows focus and attempts a more restrained combat setting, be it a one-on-one knife fight or one survivor versus a crowded stairwell of walkers, the technical prowess of the creative team and the show’s stunt team and second unit team really come through.
Throughout “No Other Way,” the action is taken to street level, whether it’s Maggie (Lauren Cohan) and a surviving Reaper fighting over a rare shelter from the fiery arrow storm of the hwacha or Rosita (Christian Serratos) and the Alexandrians forming a makeshift corpse barricade on the...

O say, can you see! The Reapers are lighting up walkers like it’s the Fourth of July when the zombie drama returns, midbattle, for the second of its three-part final round. The military-trained group’s newly created weapon is launching fireworks at the undead—but leader Maggie and former villain Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) are also targets. Will they and their allies make it out with the food they need? “Everything feels so ill-fated and challenging,” Cohan says. Here’s what you need to know. The Reapers Loom Large Now that fanatical leader Pope (Ritchie Costner) has been offed by underling Leah (Lynn Collins)—Daryl’s (Norman Reedus) former love—she’s in charge. What ultimately happens with her and Maggie has “Sergio Leone vibes,” Cohan teases, and “ends up being extremely devastating.” Maggie Recognizes Negan’s Skills Maggie still hates the man who murdered her husband, but she...

This article contains spoilers for The Walking Dead Season 11 Part 1
Befitting any scripted drama that’s lasted 11 years filming in hot Georgia summers, The Walking Dead’s final season is a grand affair.
AMC handed its flagship zombie drama a 24-episode order for its 11th and final season back in 2020. The only catch is that those 24 episodes will come in three 8-episode installments. That’s led to a somewhat difficult situation for the show’s marketing department, which now has to hype up the end of The Walking Dead no fewer than three times…and that’s not even counting the spinoffs.
The second batch of The Walking Dead’s final 24 episodes is set to begin soon. The Walking Dead season 11 episode 9 will premiere Sunday, Feb. 20 at 9 p.m. Et on AMC. That episode, and all future episodes, will be available to stream one week prior on AMC+. Given that...

The next year promises to be a big one for all things The Walking Dead, from returning favorite characters to the conclusion of the main show. Here’s what we’re hoping for when AMC’s zombie dramas pick up again. Josh Stringer/AMC Less Reapers, More Commonwealth Including the Reapers and incorporating Leah (Lynn Collins) into their villainous group was all fine and good, but…when all was said and done, they didn’t really do much of anything. If we’re honest, we’re far more interested in the mysterious Commonwealth, which seems to have a definite darkness lurking beneath its gilded surface. Here’s hoping the Reapers either get more interesting now that Leah’s officially in charge, or that particular plot wraps up quickly to give the source material story time to shine. Answers on Daryl’s Love Life Okay, technically, we already have an answer.

Spoiler Alert: This post contains details of tonight’s finale for the first part of The Walking Dead‘s 11th and final season.
“There’s obviously just by virtue of the fact that this is a final season of a show that’s been running for a long time and has had so much attention on it and such a passionate fan base, you know, we definitely feel the pressure of wanting to land the plane well,” says The Walking Dead executive producer Angela Kang of the beginning of the end of the AMC series with tonight’s midseason finale of a sort.

The Walking Dead Season 11 Episode 7
There’s an importance to personal relationships in The Walking Dead that isn’t quite as prevalent in the real world. Sure, knowing the right people can get you pretty far in life in our reality. In the zombie apocalypse, knowing the right people can mean the difference between rotting in a jail cell or serving on a work crew, working in an office versus working in a field picking beans, and risking your life versus living a life of ease. Unfortunately for Eugene and company, there’s a limit to how many favors you can cash in at one time, and they might have hit that barrier.
Throughout “Promises Broken,” the importance of a personal connection is hammered home. The episode opens with Maggie and Negan having a long heart-to-heart about whether or not Maggie can be taken at her word,...

[Warning: The following contains Major spoilers for The Walking Dead Season 11 episode 4, “Rendition.”] First, it was Woodbury. Then, it was the Saviors. And now Daryl (Norman Reedus) has been captured by yet another enemy group. But this time, there’s a twist. After Maggie’s (Lauren Cohan) group was attacked, Daryl gets away on his own. He runs into a few Reapers, who go after him and Dog; surprisingly—or maybe not surprisingly, depending on how closely you watched the Season 11 trailer—one of them is Leah (Lynn Collins). She and her “family” take Daryl captive and waterboard him for information, which he isn’t willing to give: He insists he’s still alone out there, just as he was when Leah first met him, and that he only knew Maggie’s group because he trades with them. Throughout all of this, Leah is cold and calculating. Their initial reunion ...

Lynn Collins has been acting on screen for more than 20 years and she has accomplished a lot during that time. Not only does she have 50 on-screen credits to her name, but she’s worked on some very popular projects. Viewers may recognize her best from her roles in shows like Manhunt, True Blood, and Haunted. Recently, however, she has been getting a lot of attention for her role on the show The Walking Dead. Her character, Leah, is a new addition to the show and although she isn’t a main character, her time on the show hasn’t gone unnoticed.

The final six episodes of The Walking Dead season 10 have so far taken the shape of “day in the life” stories about fan-favorite characters. “Home Sweet Home” followed Maggie as she deals with the consequences of leaving Hilltop so many years ago as well as what it means to be back in Alexandria. And last Sunday’s “Find Me” followed suit, this time focusing on Daryl and the years he spent in exile while searching for Rick in the woods. The episode not only gives us a deeper look at what Daryl’s life was like out in the wilderness, separated from all his friends, but who he met along the way.
“Find Me” introduces a new character named Leah (Lynn Collins), who played a major part in this once-unseen period in Daryl’s life before he returned to the settlements. There’s a suggestion in the episode that Leah...

This article contains spoilers for The Walking Dead season 10 episode 18.
Grief is all the rage on television right now. Though series like WandaVision and Snowpiercer went into production before the coronavirus pandemic gripped the globe, they arrived during a time in which we all had a lot of trauma to process.
Over on The Walking Dead, however, grappling with such concepts has been the norm all along. The show’s first episode dealt with an apocalyptic event that wiped out the majority of the population and since then its characters have known the names of the dead better than the names of the living. Every now and then though, The Walking Dead will introduce a new character to remind us of just how deep the well of grief can go in this universe.
The Walking Dead season 10 episode 18 introduces one such character in the form of Leah, played by television vet Lynn Collins.

The Walking Dead Season 10 Episode 18
As far as episodes of The Walking Dead go, “Home Sweet Home” will not be considered one of the brighter lights of the vastly improved season 10, thought it was very far from the nadir of the series. This show has been better and it has also been much worse. Overall, The Walking Dead is trending up under the direction of show runner Angela Kang, thanks to a focus on improved writing over twists, spectacle, and cliffhangers on a show that has never needed them. Generally, that has paid off, and no episode exemplifies that new focus more than “Find Me” does this week.
Daryl Dixon (Norman Reedus) has become the heart of The Walking Dead, and fans are always going to want more of him, especially when he pairs off with his platonic soul mate Carol Peletier (Melissa McBride...

(Spoilers ahead for “Find Me,” the episode of “The Walking Dead” which debuted March 4 on AMC+, and on March 7 on cable)
It’s always very interesting when we learn about stuff that went down during the six-year time skip we got on “The Walking Dead” after Rick blew up that bridge. It hasn’t happened often, but those few examples have given us some big character moments.
And in “Find Me,” the second of six bonus episodes AMC has added to season 10 of “The Walking Dead,” we got another one. This time it comes thanks to the introduction of Leah (Lynn Collins), a woman that Daryl (Norman Reedus) met in the woods while he scoured the watershed for signs of Rick.
Leah is a lot like Daryl. They’re both loners with trust issues. They’ve got trauma they’ve never really been able to move past. And they’re...

The Walking Dead season 10 continues to dig into the past with “Find Me,” which takes a look back at the years Daryl spent in exile from Alexandria searching for Rick Grimes after the bridge explosion in season 9 that marked Andrew Lincoln’s exit from the show. We all know Rick isn’t dead, but Daryl doesn’t so he spends the next six years searching for any sign of the Alexandrian leader’s remains. At the very least so that Daryl can put the man he calls “his brother” to rest.
Daryl revisits this unseen period in his life while out hunting with Carol, as memories of his lost years begin to come back to him. But we won’t spoil what’s coming up in the episode. Just read the synopsis for “Find Me” below for some hints:

Angry, brutal, and more than a little campy, Max Pachman’s directorial debut “Beneath Us” is a thriller with a lot on its mind. Subtlety is not one of those things, but when has subtlety ever been part of a recipe for exploitation cinema?
“Beneath Us” may be brand new, but it plays like the kind of overlooked yet fascinating B-movie rediscovery that Vinegar Syndrome would dig up out of the 1970s and unleash upon a grateful grindhouse marketplace.
“Beneath” stars Rigo Sanchez (“Animal Kingdom”) and Josue Aguirre (“Veronica Mars”) as Alejandro and Memo, two undocumented workers who stand outside a lumber mill every day in Eagle Rock, Calif., looking for contracting work. Alejandro wants to save money to bring his wife and son over the border to join him. His younger brother Memo has come to America for mysterious reasons and seems to harbor a lot of mixed feelings...

One of my friends was very excited about John Carter, as he was a fan of the Edgar Rice Burroughs novels that inspired the movie as a kid. Burroughs is of course, most famous for creating Tarzan, but John Carter of Mars, and the dozen or so books in that series have their own cult following in sci-fi circles. According to him, with the exception of bringing in a character named Edgar Rice Burroughs (Daryl Sabara) who’s told of this story from his Uncle’s will, after his passing, the movie was fairly accurate to the book. That maybe so, but all I really saw was a lot of special effects and noise. Lotta sound, a lotta fury, and it really didn’t mean much of anything. The first twenty or thirty minutes happen in the same pattern. John Carter (Taylor Kitsch) get caught, John Carter then escapes from whomever caught him,...
