Going out of the box is probably one of the best and yet, one of the rarest strategies that filmmakers and showmakers use. However, that wasn’t the case with Teen Titans which made the show very popular, especially among kids.
A still from Teen Titans
With its premiere on July 19, 2003, Teen Titans entered into the world of cartoons with a bang. The show premiered on Cartoon Network channel with its first two seasons also available on Kids’ WB. It immediately became a popular show with its funny and interesting characters. Major credit behind its success surely goes to its creator and developer, Glen Murakami.
In fact, due to a big step taken by Murakami regarding the show, the entire world saw and recognized a few characters of the show who were earlier mildly known.

James Gunn’s DC Studios has just green-lit a Teen Titans movie and fans are not exactly sure how to make up their mind. On one hand, the prospect of a film featuring characters from the earlier animated TV show is exciting for some fans. However, on the other, many DC fans worry that Gunn is repeating the same old mistakes committed by Zack Snyder’s Dceu. Fans criticized DC’s move to announce new projects, while the already announced slate awaits development updates.

The “Teen Titans” superhero team appearing in numerous DC Comics titles since 1964, is being developed into a live-action feature film, to be written by Ana Nogueira (“Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow”):
“…as the group's name indicates, the members are teenage superheroes, many of whom have acted as sidekicks to DC's premier superheroes in the ‘Justice League’.
“The original team later becomes known as the ‘Titans’ when the members age out of their teenage years…
“…while the ‘Teen Titans’ name is continued by subsequent generations of young heroes.
“First appearing in 1964 in ‘The Brave and the Bold’ #54, the team was formed by ‘Kid Flash’ (‘Wally West’), ‘Robin’ (‘Dick Grayson’), and ‘Aqualad’ (‘Garth’)…
“…before adopting the name ‘Teen Titans’ in issue #60 with the addition of ‘Wonder Girl’ (‘Donna Troy’) to their ranks…”

A live-action adaptation of DC Comics’ Teen Titans is officially in the works for James Gunn and Peter Safran’s DC Studios.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, screenwriter Ana Nogueira is already on board to write the script. Nogueira, recognizable for acting roles in CW’s The Vampire Diaries and Starz’s Hightown, is also working on DC’s Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow, set to star Milly Alcock.
The announcement makes Teen Titans the first film added to the initial run of DC Universe productions Gunn revealed back in January 2023. It remains to be seen how or when it will slot into what’s being called Chapter One: Gods and Monsters, but Gunn, Nogueria, and the DC team have plenty of options.
Made up of superhero “sidekicks,” the Teen Titans were originally introduced in 1964 in The Brave and the Bold #54. Founding members included Robin, Wonder Girl, Kid Flash, and Aqualad.

It’s go time for the Teen Titans.
The DC heroes, which began as the teenaged sidekicks of their more famous and iconic counterparts, are getting their own live-action feature from the James Gunn and Peter Safran-led DC Studios.
The comic book movie division of Warner Bros. Discovery has tapped Ana Nogueira to pen the screenplay for the project. The hiring further ensconces the actress and playwright-turned scribe into the DC family as she is already writing Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow for the label.
The Teen Titans were first introduced in the mid-1960s and featured Robin, Kid Flash, and Aqualad as well as Wonder Girl. Other teens such as Speedy, the sidekick to Green Arrow, joined the adventures later. The comics skewed young and were not considered major sellers until the 1980s relaunch by Marv Wolfman and George Perez.

After three tumultuous outings, DC's "Titans" train continues to chug along in full force. Self-proclaimed as a new beginning for the series, the fourth season moves towards a more consistent future as a superhero show and quasi-family drama. As per usual, a new location and set of villains threaten to uproot the titular superhero team. But the supernatural reigns supreme this time around, delivering a blend of magic and horror more devious than the last three seasons combined. Throw in a few daddy issues, and you have a well-received fourth season. However, that's not all. A fan-favorite character will make their return sooner rather than later.
The fourth season of "Titans" looks to turn the page on the long-standing series, but it is still not afraid to pull from the past. The origins of Mother Mayhem (Franka Potente) and Brother Blood (Joseph Morgan) are distinctly tied to the events of the very first season.

Franka Potente is set to play May Bennett, aka Mother Mayhem.
The character is described as a “natural leader who always carries the threat of violence with her."
"[She is] a predator in human form with an unfettered belief in her mission in the world.”
Cool costume, right?
Lisa Ambalavanar to play Jinx.
Described as a “quick-witted criminal longer and a master of dark magic with a joy for manipulating others and creating chaos while doing it.”

Titans Season 4 gets underway on HBO Max later this year.
As the promotional trail for the series begins, we have some exciting casting news.
Entertainment Weekly is reporting that Titus Welliver has joined the cast as Lex Luthor.
Showrunner Greg Walker told the outlet that this iteration of Lex "has a very sensitive, thoughtful approach to evil and power."
Naturally, this sudden arrival will have a big effect on Connor.
As viewers are well aware, Connor was created from Superman and Lex's DNA.
“He’s explored his Superman self, but he has not really explored his Lex self,” Walker told EW.
“What does that mean when you do?”
Connor has been struggling to come to grips with a life away from a lab, regularly being put in the firing line.
The tricky part of Lex's arrival is that he could start to gravitate towards the dark side, assuming this iteration...

The best way to describe this book is the comic book equivalent of a summer popcorn action movie. Doesn’t lend itself to a whole lot of navel gazing analysis, but there are a lot of explosions, action and fisticuffs going on virtually the whole time. It certainly keeps your attention. Joshua Williamson has also cleverly threaded the ties to the previous Crisis books gradually and subtly, keeping things moving nicely while also promising big things to come down the road. I can’t lie, I’ve been enjoying it so far, though I’ve got the inescapable feeling that we’ve seen nothing yet.
Let’s see if I’m right.
So, in typical story format, we have reached the ‘low point.’ Heroes are on the back foot, the world at large is freaking out,...

Will there ever come a time when DC will retire the ‘Crisis’ label for whatever universe-shattering, er, crisis is just around the corner? I doubt it. I guess it’s the comic book equivalent of a movie franchise in some ways. Let’s be honest, the word ‘Crisis’ in a DC book still gets instant buzz, both in the comics press and in fandom in general. I’m pretty cynical overall, yet I’m still the first in line. I say all this as someone who has the original Crisis on Infinite Earths in all sorts of formats. I suppose that as long as the actual product is still good quality, the book still tells a strong story that has a point, then we will be happily throwing our money at it.
So, DC, show us what you’ve got this time.

An inside source for JediNews has dropped their latest report from production on "Star Wars: Episode VII".
The most promising new factoid? That we'll see a famous location mentioned numerous times, but one that hasn't been realised on screen before:
"One small hint: Star Wars The Old Republic has added a planet that has long been mentioned but never seen on film."
The likeliest candidate to fit the description is the ancient Sith home world of Korriban. Their source also spoke about casting:
"Just this past two weeks I have heard the names of Emmanuelle Chriqui, Alexis Dziena and Taissa Farmiga all linked with roles - all exceptionally talented actresses. Whether any of them are cast is still unknown, but if you consider the quality of the people they are looking at - you can see the quality of the effort."

Watching a Quentin Dupieux film is always an adventure – albeit a quirky, absurd, and existential adventure. Most of the time you have absolutely no idea what’s going on, but for some reason you keep watching in an almost hypnotic state as your eyes are inexplicably glued to the screen. That’s exactly how I watched Rubber, taking in every visually confusing segment one by one which eventually created a mind-blowing final revelation come the epic conclusion (think of it as a really f*cked up jigsaw puzzle), and that’s the exact same experience one can expect from Wrong.
On the surface, Wrong is about a man named Dolph (Jack Plotnick) whose dog, Paul, has gone missing. There are no clues, no signs, and no information as to where Paul could be, but Dolph is deeply disturbed by the disappearance of his dog. As more time goes by and Dolph becomes increasingly more worried,...

As a fan of Quentin Dupieux's delightfully Dadaistic 2010 feature Rubber, I had high hopes for his new film, Wrong. I envisioned a movie just as quirky as Rubber, but with a more mainstream plot about a man searching for his lost dog.
I was, well, wrong. (Sorry -- I couldn't resist.) Wrong certainly is quirky and absurd, but it lacks the endearingly odd humor, cool factor and narrative originality of Rubber. It's weird, but not engaging.
Wrong is the story of Dolph Springer (Jack Plotnick), who awakens one morning to find that his dog, Paul, has gone missing. What happens next probably will make no more sense in written form than it does on screen, so I'll just say that while looking for his beloved pet, Dolph embarks on journeys both physical and mental.
Along the way, Dolph encounters a host of strange situations and oddball characters, among them a flaky pizza restaurant employee,...

The new film Wrong, from writer-director Quentin Dupieux, is less a movie and more a feature-length experiment in provocative trolling. If you find the film deliberately, obnoxiously unpleasant, well, you’re just a fuddy-duddy. You can’t accept the intentionally odd tone as being a charming bit of anti-comedy. Disliking the film is playing into Dupieux’s plan, it seems, which makes the whole project even more bothersome. Even leaving aside its awkward yet pushy attitude, Wrong is perilously close to being a parody of an experimental, faux-Lynchian arthouse film, full of elliptical, meaningless character motivations and dialogue, amounting to nothing.
Jack Slotnick plays Dolph, a shiftless man who wakes up one morning and discovers that his beloved dog, Paul, is missing. His neighbor Mike (Regan Burns), offers no help and seems more willing to get into a verbal confrontation...

Something is a bit off in Dolph's (Jack Plotnick) world when he wakes up at 7:60am and realizes that his best friend Paul, his dog, is missing. Paul never takes off on his own, so Dolph is afraid that something horrible has happened to him. A strange encounter with Dolph's neighbor Mike (Regan Burns) -- who seems unable to admit that he jogs -- rattles his nerves more, but that is only the tip of the iceberg of unhinged absurdity. When Dolph calls the Jesus Organic Pizza, things grow increasingly weirder. Purportedly to distract himself from Paul's disappearance, Dolph begins to pose seemingly unimportant questions regarding the company's logo (leaving the more obvious questions regarding Jesus' relationship to pizza, or how pizza can be classified as organic, for a slightly more sensical universe) to the overly helpful person (Alexis Dziena) on the other end of the telephone line. "The rabbit does indeed symbolize speed,...

Title: Wrong Director: Quentin Dupieux Starring: Jack Plotnick, Eric Judor, Alexis Dziena, Steve Little, William Fichtner, Mark Burnham His previous film, the surrealistic dark comedy “Rubber,” was about a psychokinetic tire that wandered the dusty American Southwest exploding the heads of those who got in its way, so anyone who saw that will not be very surprised by Quentin Dupieux’s new movie “Wrong,” which trades in the same sort of absurdist humor. A work of significant playfulness and imagination — it features cinema’s best dog crap joke ever, hands down – that hints at a broader promise of budding, starburst auteurism upon which the film as a whole doesn’t really deliver, “Wrong” [ Read More ]

Jessica Chastain’s performance in the lead has been praised by critics for months – you can read our review here – and I can’t wait to see it for myself. The film has already taken over $5m. in its limited release in the States, and is sure to play well for Sony in the weeks to come.

Quentin Dupeiux’s Wrong debuted at Sundance last year to excellent early reviews, suggesting that his follow-up to destined-cult classic, Rubber, is going to be another big success this year.
We’d seen a rather baffling first teaser trailer and scene at the tail-end of 2011, just before its festival debut, and caught the film’s new poster yesterday. And with its VoD release just weeks away, Apple have debuted the first full-length trailer, to give us another great idea of what we have in store for us.

If you have seen director Quentin Dupieux‘s deeply weird horror-comedy Rubber you know that the filmmaker doesn’t quite have the same sensibilities as most, and you will get an idea of the madness that will be in his next feature, Wrong.
The best kind of funky weird, Wrong is a ‘super simple’ story about a guy looking for his dog, but with a character who seems delighted about the fact that his face has been horribly burned with acid and another who believes it is possible to access the memory of canine feces.
Obviously we are not dealing with the real world, but instead, Dupieux’s films blurring the line between fantasy and reality in order to reach the plain fun to watch and don’t expect it to answer any questions at all.

Here's a trailer for a ridiculously insane movie called Wrong. I saw the movie up at Sundance last year, and it was one of the strangest films I've ever seen, it's also freakin' hilarious! The movie made absolutely no sense, but that's what I loved about it! The basic plot of the movie is a guy looking for his lost dog, but it's so much more than that. The film was written and directed by Quentin Dupieux, who previously directed Rubber. Here's the synopsis for the brain melting movie...

So a movie about a guy who loses his dog who gets help from someone named Master Chang played by William Fichnter? Yep, that sounds about right for Quentin Dupieux. The director who broke out with his deliriously odd tire killer movie "Rubber" returns with "Wrong." And for anyone seeking something way off the beaten path, it will feel so right. Featuring Jack Plotnock, Steve Little, Alexis Dziena and more, the story centers around a man who is looking for his lost dog and along the way comes across a nympho pizza delivery girl, a jogging neighbor and a mysterious righter of wrongs. The movie premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in 2012 and spent the year on the festival circuit, and it's now set to come into your living room. But be warned, it may disappoint. Our own review from Park City said the film "is a fog of phoniness...

Quentin Dupieux made a name for himself back in 2010 with the release of Rubber, the comedy(-horror) film that featured a tyre as its protagonist. His latest film, Wrong, debuted at Sundance last year to positive early reviews, suggesting we’re in for a made and brilliant follow-up feature.
And the baffling first teaser trailer we saw just before its world debut suggested just as much.
After spending much of 2012 on the festival circuit, the film will be released through VoD in just a few weeks’ time in the States, and will be hitting theatres across the Atlantic this spring, and now a new poster has been released, which will almost certainly be one of the most curious we see this year.

Written and directed by Quentin Dupieux (Rubber), Wrong initially intrigues in its refusal to conform to convention, but tirelessly wears out its viewer throughout all of its banal aimlessness. The film’s world becomes predictably baffling and increasingly dull as we embark on a bizarre and unrewarding trek into the absurd and existential. The surreal has never felt so muted, so useless.
It was perhaps a huge disservice to not have seen Dupieux’s Rubber before diving into his latest effort. Certainly, there are those tickled and perhaps even moved by what Dupieux represents as a filmmaker, but the guy feels oddly too imaginative for his own good. Not only that, but his vision fails to conjure up any type of creative appeal that we haven’t seen before. Wrong is both familiar and foreign, as to override all expectations,...

"Why me?" Another wacky, weird, must-see international trailer for Quentin Dupieux's new film Wrong has debuted, found by The Film Stage. Dupieux, aka Mr. Oizo, also directed the killer tire movie Rubber, and followed that up with this film, Wrong, starring William Fichtner, Jack Plotnick, Eric Judor and Alexis Dziena, among others. It looks as trippy as it sounds, about some guy who loses his dog and goes insane looking for him. There are many odd things happening in this, I can't even describe half of what's going on, from the clock (7:60?) to who the heck is William Fichtner even supposed to be? You've got see it.
