"You run out on every guy you've ever been with!" Decal Releasing has unveiled the trailer for a romantic comedy called Which Brings Me To You, arriving in theaters in January 2024 next month. It's from the same filmmaker who previously made the romcoms Then Came You and The Hating Game, and this one will probably be just like those two. Lucy Hale and Nat Wolff star in this hilarious tale of love and disaster. Two romantic burnouts meet at a wedding and almost hook up in the coatroom before putting the brakes on. They agree to exchange candid confessions about their pasts on the off chance that this might be the real thing. "Trading candid confessions of messy histories and heartbreak" - revisiting their own "past lives" on screen. The film's supporting cast includes John Gallagher Jr., Ward Horton, Genevieve Angelson, Alexander Hodge, Britne Oldford, Marceline Hugot, and Laura Kai Chen.

Shudder and IFC Midnight are launching microbudget Skinamarink on a not-so-micro 629 screens, giving the viral horror pic a major push after a well-received premiere back at Fantasia-fest that just kept snowballing with strong reviews and social media love.
“I was over the moon. For a horror filmmaker in Canada, [Fantasia] is like getting a Cannes screening,” says first-time filmmaker Kyle Edward Ball about the leadup to this weekend’s buzzy specialty opening. He shot the 15k feature at his parents’ home in Edmonton, Canada.
In it, two children wake up in the middle of the night to find their father is missing and all the windows and doors in their home have vanished. “I’d had a nightmare when I was little. I was in my parents’ house, my parents were missing, and there was a monster. And lots of people have shared this exact same dream,” Ball tells Deadline.

At the start of 2021, we heard that filming was underway on A Night of Horror: Nightmare Radio director Oliver Park’s horror thriller Abyzou, which was said to be “loosely based on a Jewish folk tale”. Five months ago, it was announced that Decal had picked up the U.S. distribution rights to the Millennium Media production and were planning to give the film a theatrical release later this year. Now we know exactly when Decal will be releasing the film – and it’s not going to be before the end of this year, but it’s not too far off. Abyzou, which is now going by the less unique title The Offering, will be reaching theatres in 20+ US Markets on January 13th. It will be available on VOD the same day. In anticipation of this release, a trailer for The Offering has arrived online and can be seen in the embed above.

"Bringer of misery, taker of children… It'll make you see things, feel things… that aren't real." Decal has revealed an official trailer for an indie horror titled The Offering, which first premiered at Fantastic Fest a few months ago. It's now set for release in early January. In the wake of a young Jewish girl's disappearance, the son of a Hasidic funeral director returns home with his pregnant wife in hopes of reconciling with his father. Directly beneath them in the family morgue, an ancient evil with sinister plans for the unborn child lurks inside a mysterious corpse. The horror film stars Nick Blood, Emily Wiseman, Allan Corduner, and Paul Kaye. This looks crazy scary!! It earned positive reviews at the fest: "benefits from magnificent production design which interweaves character information & subtly obscured plot points whilst combining with Lorenzo Senatore’s cinematography to create a heady atmosphere." A must watch if you're a horror fan.

“Bodies Bodies Bodies” (Lionsgate): A band of post-adolescent rich kids turn on each other, with violent consequences, in this wildly comic murder mystery. What’s perhaps most wickedly delightful about Halina Reijn’s satire with a body count is the way it plays out like a Gen Z Twitter fights, in real time, with weapons, proving that you can poke at internet culture even in a house where a thunderstorm has knocked out the WiFi.
Also available:
“Bullet Train” (Sony) Assassin Brad Pitt meets many, many other assassins and ne’er-do-wells on a bullet train, and they try to kill each other quickly.
“Beast” (Universal): Man-vs-Nature thriller with Idris Elba trying to protect his daughters from a very large lion intent on protecting his own territory.
“Breaking” (Decal/Bleeker) John Boyega resurrects the spirit of “Dog Day Afternoon” in this true-life bank-robbery drama from Abi Damaris Corbin and Kwame Kwei-Armah.

Decal has revealed a trailer for The Last Victim, described as a "neo-Western thriller" about a small town sheriff chasing some outlaws. The film is opening in early May in a few weeks, after premiering at a festival in Germany last year. The Last Victim is a small town crime thriller set in the American southwest, following Sheriff Hickey who is trying to solve the worst case he has seen in his jurisdiction, likely caused by a violent local gang led by a fearsome criminal. When a young professor and her husband cross paths with the gang, they are drawn into a chain of vengeance where morality is ambiguous and survival is the only priority. The thriller stars Ali Larter, Ron Perlman, Ralph Ineson, Kyle Schmid, Tahmoh Penikett, and Tom Stevens.

"Ahhh I'm too stoned for this." Decal Releasing has unveiled an official trailer for an indie heartfelt comedy called Ride the Eagle, from filmmaker Trent O'Donnell, and co-written by the film's star, Jake Johnson. Leif is left with a "conditional inheritance" when his estranged mother Honey dies. Before he can move into her picturesque Yosemite cabin that she left him, he has to complete her elaborate, and sometimes dubious, to-do list. "Life is a long, weird trip." Off he goes to complete her list of things to do. The cast also includes Susan Sarandon, J.K. Simmons, D'Arcy Carden, Cleo King, & Eric Edelstein. Plus one cute black lab doggie. I'm always a fan of these kind of stories about someone being told to go out and rediscover life and try new things, always ending up changed in clever ways. Even better doing that with a dog. Take a look. Here's the...
