Heinz Lehmann was a German-born Canadian psychiatrist best known for his use of chlorpromazine for the treatment of schizophrenia in 1950s and the father of modern psychopharmacology. Lehmann received his MD at the University of Berlin in 1935. Two years later he left Nazi Germany for Canada. In 1951 he created the TV-series "Mental Symptoms" aimed for the medical profession and allied scientific groups. in 1998 Heinz Lehmann was inducted into the Canadian Medical Hall of Fame.
