We knew it was only a matter of time, and Screen Junkies has now released an "Honest Trailer" for the second and final(?) movie in Zack Snyder's Star Wars-inspired sci-fi saga, Rebel Moon: Part Two - The Scargiver, aka, "Harvest Moon 2: Pain and Grain."
The guys don't have to work very hard to find things to make fun of here, but this still proves to be one of the funnier Honest Trailers we've seen in quite a while.
There's also a "restore the SnyderVerse" nod in there, but as is often the case, arguably the biggest laughs come from the character name changes ("Phone-In the Barbarian") right at the end.
Have a look at the Honest Trailer for The Scargiver below.

Both parts of Zack Snyder's Rebel Moon, A Child of Fire and The Scargiver, are now streaming on Netflix, but we know that extended editions of the sci-fi adventures are on the way, and it seems they've been given completely different titles.
Though this has yet to be made official, Film Ratings lists the director's cut of Part 1 as "Rebel Moon - Chapter One: Chalice Of Blood," and the movie has also been given an official R-rating for "brutal bloody violence and gore, sexual content, graphic nudity, and language".
As Snyder has previously noted, it sounds like these extended cuts are going to be significantly more adult-oriented than the standard versions.
"They're each about an hour longer than the originals, the PG-13 [versions]," the filmmaker told I Minutemen in a recent interview. "So it'll be nice to see the six hours together. You can take a break, of course. It's a more,...

Zack Snyder’s two-part sci-fi epic Rebel Moon is now streaming in full on Netflix, with last year’s Part One: A Child of Fire followed by this year’s Part Two: The Scargiver.
But the Rebel Moon saga is far from over, because Zack Snyder’s Director’s Cuts of both movies are coming to Netflix. And they’re said to each be around One Hour Longer.
Of particular note, the Rebel Moon Director’s Cuts will be rated “R,” promising the bloody violence that wasn’t found in the PG-13 versions of the two movies currently on Netflix.
For starters, Rebel Moon – Part One: Director’s Cut has been rated “R” for…
“Brutal bloody violence and gore, sexual content, graphic nudity and language.”
We don’t yet have a release date for these Director’s Cuts. Stay tuned.

Following a limited theatrical release, director Zack Snyder’s Rebel Moon: Part One – A Child of Fire (read our review Here) was released through the Netflix streaming service back in December, then Rebel Moon: Part Two – The Scargiver (read our review of that one Here) reached the service last month… but we’ve known from early on that these PG-13 versions of the movies wouldn’t be the only versions we’d see. Snyder has also put together extended director’s cut of both films, which will each have around an hour of additional footage. They’re expected to be released through Netflix sometime this summer, possibly in August, and the director’s cut of Rebel Moon: Part One – A Child of Fire just got its rating from the Motion Picture Association ratings board. It earned an R for brutal bloody violence and gore, sexual content, graphic nudity and language.

Zack Snyder’s Rebel Moon – Part Two: The Scargiver is a drastically more watchable film than its predecessor, which spent so much time place-setting that it forgot to tell an actual story. The Scargiver is, essentially, the propulsive second and third acts that Rebel Moon – Part One: A Child of Fire was missing. All the heroes that our heroine, Kora (Sofia Boutella), collected in the first film have finally arrived on the farming planet of Veldt, ready to help defend it against the encroaching fascist armies of the Motherworld. From here, it’s basically the fast and loose Seven Samurai redux that A Child of Fire had been hinting at from minute one, with our legendary heroes helping to prepare this village of pacifist farmers to go to war.

Rebel Moon Part One: A Child of Fire (read our review Here), the first part of director Zack Snyder’s two-part sci-fi epic, has been available to watch on the Netflix streaming service for over a month, and now we’re getting ready for the April 19th release of the follow-up Rebel Moon Part Two: The Scargiver. With its release date just two months away, Rebel Moon Part Two has received its official rating from the Motion Picture Association ratings board: PG-13 for sequences of strong violence, brief strong language and suicide. The confused nature of the theatrical window for streamer-owned films reached a new level of absurdity with Zack Snyder’s Rebel Moon – Part One: A Child of Fire. Not only is this blockbuster behemoth merely the first installment of a two-part film—the second, subtitled The Scargiver, is set to be released in April—it’s a truncated version of its maker’s substantially longer preferred cut, which makes the film two-thirds of one-half of a story.
Rebel Moon began life as a Star Wars project before Snyder’s concept was turned down, and the resulting film often sounds as though the director and co-writers Kurt Johnsta and Shay Hatten did little more to their draft than perform a find-and-replace for any terms trademarked by Disney. The film even piggybacks off of George Lucas’s indebtedness to Kurosawa Akira: Its protagonist, Kora (Sofia Boutella), is a disillusioned veteran of the “Motherworld” autocracy who,...

“People from all over the world fall in love with Mexico City as soon as they see the dimension of this beautiful capital,” says actress Eiza González, star of Extrapolations and Godzilla vs. Kong, of her mile-high hometown. With top-flight restaurants, a thriving cocktail scene and some 150 museums, Mexico City — or el Df, for Federal District, as it’s called locally (though in 2016 it was officially renamed Ciudad de Mexico, acronym Cdmx) — is one of the hottest global cities of 2023. “What people don’t expect is how cosmopolitan and diverse it is and how many trendy and cool spots it has,” says Schmigadoon! star Jaime Camil. “Mexico City has to be one of the most energizing and fascinating cities in the world.” Or as Eva Longoria (who has a home there) describes the city in her 2023 CNN series Eva Longoria: Searching for Mexico, “It’s crazy. With the debut of Zack Snyder’s Rebel Moon — or, at least the first part, subtitled A Child of Fire — just one day away, our own editor-in-chief Chris Bumbray made the journey to the debut in Los Angeles. And yes, Snyder has stuck the landing.
Upon first reaction, he wrote that Rebel Moon “owes a lot to Star Wars and a ton to The Magnificent Seven, but it’s also way more entertaining than anything Lucasfilm has put out in awhile.” In a separate tweet, he wrote, “Very old-school Star Wars. Felt like a movie that could have been made in 1980, but in a good way.” He also noted that Netflix may have made an error in their release approach. “Netflix could have made a mint with this in theaters given how weak a line up of tentpoles we have in theaters this Christmas.” You can expect more thoughts from JoBlo.com on Friday.

Snyder has always been open about the fact that he’s hoping “a massive IP and a universe that can be built out” from the foundation of Rebel Moon. For this month’s installment of “TV Terrors” we revisit Fox’s short-lived “The Exorcist” television series, which aired on the Fox Network from 2016 through 2017.
2023 has been a turbulent year for fans of The Exorcist. Along with the fiftieth anniversary of the original horror masterpiece being widely celebrated, there was the unfortunate passing of director William Friedkin, who left behind an absolutely remarkable body of work. And then there was the release of a brand new installment of the franchise, the first one fans have seen in almost twenty years. But let’s not forget the overlooked “The Exorcist” TV series from Fox.
Studios have taken great pains since the release of 1973’s The Exorcist to find ways to revitalize the franchise, and have often failed spectacularly. But surprisingly, Fox and Morgan Creek did a pretty bang up job when they gave us a serialized primetime TV version of “The Exorcist.

Director Zack Snyder revealed months ago that there will be two cuts of the movies in his upcoming two-part sci-fi epic, Rebel Moon Part One: A Child of Fire, which will be released through the Netflix streaming service on December 22nd and Rebel Moon Part Two: The Scargiver, which will reach Netflix on April 19, 2024. One cut will be something “anyone can enjoy and watch”, while the director’s cut will be a more explicit version that will allow fans to take “a deeper, harder dive” into the material. He has even said that the director’s cut of Rebel Moon Part One: A Child of Fire has “close to an hour of extra content”… and now Netflix’s Tudum site has posted the runtime for the regular cut of the film. It’s 2 hours and 13 minutes. So it looks like the director’s cut will boost it up to around the 3 hour mark.

This year’s David Gordon Green-directed The Exorcist: Believer – the first film in a planned trilogy – marked the franchise’s return to the big screen after a nearly 20-year absence, but The Exorcist franchise hadn’t exactly been lying dormant in the past several years.
Back in 2016, “The Exorcist” became a short-lived television series at Fox, which was surprisingly excellent and cleverly took place in the same world as the original classic.
Unfortunately, Fox ended up pulling the plug on the Jeremy Slater-created “The Exorcist” series after just two seasons, the show officially coming to an end in mid-2018.
The reason? Low viewership, of course. While the first season of “The Exorcist” debuted with nearly 3 million viewers, that number dropped to under 2 million viewers as the season went on. By the time “The Exorcist” Season 2 finale came along, just over 1 million viewers tuned in. It wasn’t enough...

After 15 long years, Rbd are officially back! The beloved Mexican pop group - which was born out of the 2005 telenovela "Rebelde" and includes Anahí, Christian Chávez, Dulce María, Maite Perroni, and Christopher von Uckermann - reunited earlier this year for one final tour, the Soy Rebelde Tour. On Sunday, they descended upon San Francisco's Chase Center, where they were met by thousands of fans dressed in miniskirts, white button-ups, red blazers, and knee-high boots.
Although it's been years since Rbd's last performance (and Alfonso Herrera is notably sitting out the tour), it was almost like no time had passed as the band transported the crowd back to Elite Way School with an emotional two-hour set of their greatest hits. "Thank you for not forgetting us. Thank you for making dreams come true tonight," Anahí passionately shouted to the audience in Spanish. "Thank you for keeping us in your hearts all these years,...

Watch the official teaser trailer for Rebel Moon below, which looks every bit the “epic sci-fi fantasy” we were promised. The story was originally a Star Wars pitch, it’s interesting to note, and that influence is felt throughout the trailer. Think of it as Zack Snyder’s Star Wars.
From Zack Snyder, the filmmaker behind 300, Man of Steel, and Army of the Dead, comes Rebel Moon, an epic science-fantasy event decades in the making.

Zack Snyder is building a new cinematic universe with his two-film sci-fi epic Rebel Moon, the first installment of which is scheduled to be released through the Netflix streaming service on December 22nd. With that date still five months away, Netflix is looking to build the hype by revealing information on the characters that populate Rebel Moon. Images of several of the characters can be seen at the bottom of this article.
Snyder has always been open about the fact that he’s hoping “a massive IP and a universe that can be built out” from the foundation of Rebel Moon. He crafted the story for Rebel Moon with 300 co-writer Kurt Johnstad, and the pair wrote the screenplay with Army of the Dead co-writer Shay Hatten. The events of the film, which draws inspiration from Seven Samurai, are set in motion when a peaceful colony on the edge of the...

Universal Pictures and Blumhouse Productions’ first trailer for The Exorcist: Believer is the stuff of nightmares. 1973’s The Exorcist stands as the scariest horror film in history, and the trailer appears to confirm Believer is a worthy addition to the franchise. Ellen Burstyn reprising her role as Chris – and the inclusion of “Tubular Bells” – signals a legitimate return to the world William Peter Blatty created in his 1971 bestselling novel.
In addition to Oscar winner Ellen Burstyn, The Exorcist: Believer stars Tony winner and Oscar nominee Leslie Odom, Jr., Lidya Jewett, Olivia Marcum, Emmy winner Ann Dowd, Grammy winner Jennifer Nettles, and two-time Tony winner Norbert Leo Butz.
The Exorcist, with an $11 million budget, grossed $441 million during its theatrical run. Directed by William Friedkin, the R-rated horror film earned 10 Oscar nominations and won two – Best Adapted Screenplay and Sound. Exorcist II: The Heretic followed in 1977 with Linda Blair reprising her role as Regan MacNeil.

Writer/director Zack Snyder wowed the crowd at Netflix’s Tudum Global Fan Event with the release of a new behind-the-scenes featurette for Rebel Moon. The two-part sci-fi epic was inspired by Akira Kurosawa 1954 film Seven Samurai and will premiere on Netflix on December 22, 2023.
The cast includes Sofia Boutella as Kora, an Imperium deserter who leaves the peaceful Veldt to fight back; Ed Skrein as Admiral Atticus Noble, a nefarious Imperium enforcer; Charlie Hunnam as Kai, a mercenary pilot whose Tawau-Class freighter will prove invaluable to Kora’s quest; Michiel Huisman as Gunnar, a Veldt farmer who knows little of the galaxy outside of his small, quiet corner of the galaxy; and Djimon Hounsou as General Titus, a hardened gladiator who once served the Imperium.
