To celebrate the release of A Million Ways to Die in the West on Blu-Ray and DVD from 12 February 2024, we are giving away 2 Blu-Rays to 2 lucky winners!
A Million Ways to Die in the West was directed by Emmy Award winning Family Guy creator Seth McFarlane and written alongside his collaborators on stoner fantasy comedy Ted and Ted 2 – Alec Sulkin and Wellesley Wild. The film stars an ensemble cast including MacFarlane, Charlize Theron, Amanda Seyfried, Neil Patrick Harris, Giovanni Ribisi, Sarah Silverman, and Liam Neeson with cameo appearances from Ewan McGregor and Ryan Reynolds.
In Arizona 1882 nothing comes easy in the bitterly unforgiving Old West except dying. Albert (Seth MacFarlane) is a soft man in hard times who really doesn’t fit in. Peacock has given a straight-to-series order to Ted, a live-action comedy series based on Seth MacFarlane’s hit 2012 movie, from UCP and MRC Television.
MacFarlane is in negotiations to reprise the voice of the lovable foul-mouthed teddy bear. MacFarlane and Erica Huggins will executive produce through MacFarlane’s Fuzzy Door. The project stems from MacFarlane’s blockbuster overall deal with UCP.
For now, there are no plans for the film’s Mark Wahlberg and Mila Kunis to appear in the series, which is expected to be a prequel to the 2012 movie.
MRC Films and Universal Pictures’ Ted, directed by MacFarlane in his feature helming debut and written by MacFarlane, Alec Sulkin and Wellesley Wild, starred Wahlberg and Kunis, with MacFarlane providing the voice and motion capture of the title character.
The film tells the story of John Bennett (Wahlberg), a Boston native whose childhood wish brings his teddy bear friend Ted to life.

Yakko, Wakko and Dot aren’t done with their Hollywood comeback yet.
Ahead of its second season premiere later this year, Hulu’s “Animaniacs” reboot is already getting renewed for a third season, announced the Disney-owned streaming service at its Television Critics Assn. press tour day.
The ’90s animated series, which ran for five seasons from 1993 to 1998, came back to the small screen last fall after 22 years off the air, skewering and satirizing everything from modern-day politics to the Olympics to, of course, the entertainment industry.
Steven Spielberg is continuing on as executive producer of “Animaniacs,” with Sam Register, President, Warner Bros. Animation and Cartoon Network Studios, Amblin Television Co-Presidents Darryl Frank and Justin Falvey also executive producing. Wellesley Wild serves as showrunner and executive producer, with Gabe Swarr as co-executive producer. Amblin Television, in association with Warner Bros. Animation, is producing.

The Animaniacs are not leaving Hulu anytime soon.
The Disney-backed streamer has handed out an early third-season pickup for the revival of the beloved cartoon from Steven Spielberg and Warner Bros. Television.
The early pickup, which is for another round of 10 episodes, arrives as season two of the comedy from showrunner Wellesley Wild is expected to return this year. It’s worth noting that animated series take longer to produce and early pickups help keep the shows on a regular production cycle so the show can maintain a regular release schedule. Reboots aren’t just for grown-ups anymore.
The proliferation of streaming platforms reliant on free-flowing programming pipelines has led to the development of new versions of shows such as “Battlestar Galactica” and “True Blood” that last aired when Barack Obama was president. That same industry-shaking shift away from linear and toward streaming, coupled with the emergence of nostalgia and geekdom as dominating cultural forces, has turned kids TV — already accustomed to regularly reimagining corporate-controlled IP — into a hotbed of reboots.
“We’re in an interesting time right now, where, probably more so than ever before, adults who grew up with certain properties are able to still be a part of those fandoms and talk about them and participate in those fandoms very actively,” says Noelle Stevenson, creator of the DreamWorks Animation-produced “She-Ra and the Princesses of Power” for Netflix. “In the past, it was maybe a little bit more of a niche thing.

The new “Animaniacs,” premiering on Hulu 27 years after it first debuted and in a world where the iconic WB water tower recently got an HBO Max makeover, is well aware of what its preemptive critics might think of it. In one of the first new episodes, for instance, Warner brothers Yakko (Rob Paulsen), Wakko (Jess Harnell) and their Warner sister Dot (Tress MacNeille) sing a peppy song about Hollywood’s conveyer belt of reboots that ends with them all sitting on a giant pile of cash while the Hulu logo blares behind them in bright neon. In the tweaked opening credits, one of TV’s most enduring theme songs gets pointed lyric updates advising mad nerds to remember that the “Animaniacs” “did meta first,” and assuring the audience that this reboot is appropriately “gender neutral” and “ethnically diverse” for its new era. (Sure.) So while the 1993 “Animaniacs” was aggressively self-aware,...

Tom Ruegger wanted no part of a Tiny Toon Adventures spin-off. The animation vet had created the Tiny Toons — kids inspired by the original Looney Tunes characters, now learning comedy from Bugs Bunny and friends — but was already burnt out on them when he was asked if he could build a new show around Plucky Duck or one of Babs and Buster Bunny’s other classmates. “We’ve had it up to here with Tiny Toons,” Ruegger says he replied. “We’re about cooked on them. Let’s do some new stuff.

When “Animaniacs” returns with all-new episodes Nov. 20 on Hulu, a key ingredient of the original animated series will also return: orchestral music by Steve and Julie Bernstein, two of the series’ primary composers from its 1993-98 run.
Five of the show’s eight Daytime Emmy Awards were won by the “Animaniacs” music team, including the Bernsteins, who have spent most of their careers in Warner Bros. animation, from “Tiny Toons” and “Taz-Mania” to “Pinky and the Brain” and “Histeria!”
And while their work brings a sonic consistency to Warner brothers Yakko (voiced by Rob Paulsen) and Wakko (Jess Harnell), and Warner sister Dot (Tress MacNeille) — as well as world-domination-seeking Pinky (Paulsen) and the Brain (Maurice Lamarche) — what’s unusual is the presence of 30 to 40 musicians on every score.

After 22 years off the air, Animaniacs is back with a whole lot of pent-up zaniness. The rebooted animated series premieres on November 20th on Hulu.
As seen in the trailer, all the characters from the classic Nineties cartoon have returned: the Warner brothers Yakko and Wakko, their sister Dot, and the dastardly side villains Pinky and the Brain. Just like with the original show, the new Animaniacs combines kid-friendly education and goofy slapstick with more adult-friendly humor and social commentary. The teaser even riffs on the concept of the reboot itself,...

We’re a month away from getting Animaniacs back and it’s not a moment too soon. Yakko, Wacko, and Dot have been missing since the late-90s and, honestly, it was probably more due to fatigue than anything else. Sometimes you need to rest a property, then bring it back down the line. Animaniacs is a very welcome return, but at the same time, we don’t want it to be too different. More specifically, it doesn’t need to be too different. Add a new splash of paint and modernize it without straying too far, but keep the soul the same.
Things were already on the right track with the news that they were bringing back all the original voice actors. Apparently, it was a situation where Steven Spielberg wanted all of them back or it wasn’t happening.

A first look at Hulu’s upcoming Steven Spielberg-produced “Animaniacs” reboot is here.
The teaser clip was revealed during Sunday’s “Animaniacs” cast and producer panel at New York Comic Con, and features an animated Spielberg introducing Yakko, Wakko and Dot within the world of “Jurassic Park.” The clip begins with animated versions of “Jurassic Park’s” Alan Grant and Ellie Sattler stumbling upon the Warner brothers and sister during an expedition.
“Alan, this species of cartoon has been extinct since 1998. I mean, these haven’t been seen on TV since the golden era of animation!” Sattler says, as Grant manually turns her head to reveal the Animaniacs in all their wacky glory.
An animated Spielberg then appears to confirm the news, telling a baffled Sattler and Grant that he reanimated the trio, as well as Pinky and the Brain. An animated spokesperson for Hulu even appears to plainly...

Hulu dropped a first look at its “Animaniacs” reboot during New York Comic Con Sunday, featuring an animated Steven Spielberg using “Jurassic Park”-style technology to bring back the Warner brothers, Yakko and Wakko, and the Warner sister, Dot.
The clip was released during a virtual panel with “Animaniacs” executive producers and the voice cast, which you can view via the video above. The tease, which is from Episode 1 of the streaming service’s upcoming reboot, starts at the 18:40 mark and goes until 20:13.
In the brief scene, you’ll see an animated version of the iconic filmmaker, who produced the original “Animaniacs” series, bring cartoon takes on “Jurassic Park” characters Alan, Ellie and Ian, plus Hulu and Warner Bros. executives, out to see the revived Yakko, Wakko and Dot in a bit that’s basically straight out of the 1993 film.

Animaniacs is set to break free from a decades-long purgatory in the Warner Bros. Water Tower, thanks to the impending arrival of a Hulu reboot series, which now has a solid release date.
Hulu has officially announced that the new Animaniacs will premiere on its platform on Friday, November 20. The series, a production of Hulu, Amblin Television and Warner Bros. Animation, will launch with 13 episodes, showcasing the rebooted adventures of Warner siblings Yakko, Wakko and Dot in a return that’s 22 years in the making, reinventing the classic 1993-1998 animated series and its concluding 1999 direct-to-video feature, Yakko’s Wish. Given Hulu’s officially released image of the Warners (as seen in the title image), the series appears to be sticking to a classic look.
Interestingly enough, Hulu’s announcement for the inaugural season of its rebooted Animaniacs comes with the news that series has been preemptively renewed for a 13-episode second season.

Wellesley Wild, known for his work as a writer and producer on “Family Guy,” has inked an exclusive, multi-year overall deal with Warner Bros. Animation.
Under the deal, Wild will develop, write and produced new animated projects for adult, kids and family audiences across all the platforms that Warners’ animation department services. The agreement marks Warner Bros. Animation’s first overall producer deal, and comes less than a month after Wild’s former boss, “Family Guy” creator Seth MacFarlane, set his own massive overall deal with NBCUniversal.
While Wild’s deal will primarily focus on animation, it also encompasses the other scripted divisions within the Warner Bros. TV group and leaves open the possibility for him to develop live-action projects for the different arms of the company.

Emmy-nominated writer/producer Wellesley Wild (Family Guy) has signed an exclusive, multi-year overall deal with Warner Bros. Animation, marking the first major producer deal for the Studio.
Under the pact, Wild will develop, write and produce new animated projects — for both adult, kid and family audiences — at Wba across all platforms, including premium/pay and basic cable channels, streaming/on-demand and digital platforms, and the broadcast networks. While the focus of Wild’s deal will be animation, the deal also encompasses the other scripted programming divisions of the Warner Bros. Television Group — such as Warner Bros. Television, Warner Horizon Scripted Television and digital venture Blue Ribbon Content — for Wild to develop, write and produce original live-action projects at the Studio.
Warner Bros. Animation President Sam Register said: “From his impressive run on Family Guy to his notable list of credits, Wellesley knows how to produce quality animation and entertain audiences.

Thrice Emmy-nominated “Family Guy” writer and producer Wellesley Wild, also writer of the blockbuster “Ted” and “Ted 2” big-screen comedies, which together did more than three-quarters of a billion dollars in worldwide box office, seeks the sale of a casually luxurious residence that’s tucked deep into a Beverly Hills canyon and listed at almost $6.5 million. Recently tapped as showrunner for the animated series “Animaniacs,” Wellesley purchased the double-gated and clapboard-sided East Coast-style traditional, which features unusual eyebrow-style dormered windows, just over four years ago in an off market deal for $5.6 million. The follow up to Ted, the highest-grossing original R-rated comedy of all time, Ted 2 features more of the hysterically raunchy banter that has made writer-director-actor Seth MacFarlane an entertainment world powerhouse—as well as a touching story of brotherly love. After making jaws drop in 2012, Ted returns and he's still got that edge – although there's a lot more padding here, courtesy of creator and voice artist Seth MacFarlane. Mark Wahlberg is as game as ever, the sounding board for a lot of potty-mouthed ranting when the authorities make legal moves to strip Ted of his personhood, while Mila Kunis is replaced by Amanda Seyfried as Wahlberg's main squeeze.
Shock and awe tactics are employed from the off, with f-bombs dropping all over the place – even in church, where Ted gets hitched to his supermarket sweetheart Tami-Lynn (a gum-chewing Jessica Barth). Domestic bliss quickly gives way to some uproarious bickering and bawling, though, and Ted decides the only way to heal the rift is by having a baby.

2012′s Ted asked the important questions about what happens to a relationship when your partner’s best friend is a swearing teddy bear with the voice of Peter Griffin. The sequel, Ted 2, asks the important questions about the practicalities of knocking off a follow-up when your original film made more money than anyone could reasonably have expected.

Get your fix of righteous indignation below, and stay posted for outrage updates throughout the week. Shocking news: Seth MacFarlane's "Ted 2" is taking fire from a not-insignificant number of critics who have taken issue with the film's gleefully un-p.C. humor. The charges: sexism, homophobia, transphobia and racism. But especially racism. The comedy sequel, out in theaters today, revolves around the foul-mouthed teddy's quest to be deemed a person in a court of law -- a struggle that in the film draws parallels with the plight of black slaves. It's a point that MacFarlane makes explicit, as in the following scene described (and subsequently criticized) by New York Times movie critic Manohla Dargis: "Mr. MacFarlane aligns Ted’s struggle with enslaved black Americans so that, while watching a scene in “Roots” in which Kunta Kinte is whipped,...

Chicago – While it’s cruder and it can’t quite match the original “Ted,” “Ted 2” is still funnier than it has any right to be. It is unmistakably a Seth MacFarlane production, and there are a million reasons why this movie shouldn’t work, chief among them a plot that attempts to plop a foul mouthed talking teddy bear into a moralistic legal parable about civil rights. But I can’t deny I laughed throughout, almost despite myself.

Like many sequels, Seth MacFarlane's Ted 2 faces the challenge of trying to keep the follow-up from merely repeating the original, something the writer-director joked about and that co-writer Wellesley Wild said the Ted 2 writing team was "very concerned" about. "Most sequels, especially comedy sequels, kind of play the same card over and over," Wild told The Hollywood Reporter on the red carpet ahead of the Ted 2 world premiere in New York Wednesday night. Fellow co-writer Alec Sulkin added that the fear of the second film just being more of the same from

The first "Ted" was a pivotal moment for Seth MacFarlane. It was his first live-action project, and it was a chance to see if he could successfully launch a whole new empire, one that stood separate from "Family Guy." While I didn't love "Ted," I thought it was a solid step for MacFarlane as a filmmaker. His second live-action film, "A Million Ways To Die In The West"? Less so. I'm already ambivalent about MacFarlane, so adding the extra pressure of my belief that comedy sequels are almost uniformly unsuccessful, and I didn't have very high hopes for "Ted 2" at all. I can report that it is pretty much exactly what I thought a "Ted" sequel would be, complete with a larger canvass and diminishing returns on some of the laughs. Like most comedy sequels, it is too long and too indulgent in calling back to the original film.

He may have recently tied the knot, but all Ted wants to do is have a baby in the new trailer for Ted 2.
The sequel sees the bear (Seth MacFarlane) head to court to prove he is "human" enough to raise a child.
Jessica Barth is back as Ted's love interest Tami-Lynn, and the pair ask best friend John (Mark Wahlberg) to provide the sperm for artificial insemination, but first have to get legal permission.
MacFarlane directed from a script he co-wrote with his original Ted collaborators Alec Sulkin and Wellesley Wild.
Morgan Freeman (The Dark Knight), Dennis Haysbert (24) and Taken's Liam Neeson will also star in the sequel.
Ted 2 will be released on June 26 in the Us and will hit UK cinemas on July 8.
Watch Mark Wahlberg speed-recite 57 movie names he memorised for a scene in the film that was eventually cut:...
