Since "Spider-Man: No Way Home" arrived in 2021 and became a cultural phenomenon, Andrew Garfield's Spidey has finally been getting some love. And you know what? It's about damn time. It was only with "No Way Home" that the Marvel Cinematic Universe seemed to figure out what to do with Tom Holland's webhead, following two movies that seemed to come and go. 2012's "The Amazing Spider-Man" and its sequel, 2014's "The Amazing Spider-Man 2," however, remain ingrained in my memory, mainly for Garfield's charismatic yet emotionally affecting performance as Peter Parker and for his chemistry with Emma Stone's Gwen Stacey.
Unfortunately, the general consensus on these two Marc Webb-directed movies is that they represent the worst of the Spider-Man films — 2007's "Spider-Man 3" notwithstanding. But we were all in the theaters when Garfield's Peter Parker stepped through the portal in "No Way Home." We all heard the...

Gal Gadot Had to Audition for Disney’s ‘Snow White’: ‘They Needed to Make Sure I Could Sing’ (Video)
“Wonder Woman” actress Gal Gadot is currently filming a role in the live-action Snow White movie for Disney. Gadot recently revealed to GQ that, for the first time in a long time, she had to earn her part with an audition — but for good reason.
As she said, “It was the first time I had to kind of audition for a project in a while. They needed to make sure I can sing, because this is a musical.”
Gadot spent weeks preparing for the audition. She added, “So, for a month, I was working on the song, and then I auditioned. And we filmed the song, and I got the part, and it was very exciting.”
GQ isn’t the only outlet Gadot has been speaking to about the movie, set to be released in March 2024. In an interview with People, Gadot said that her middle child was hoping she...

Disney is currently hard at work remaking pretty much every single successful animated feature into a live-action version, and they've finally returned to the film where it all began: "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs." The upcoming film from "The Amazing Spider-Man" director Mark Webb will expand on the 1937 animated classic and will star Rachel Zegler ("West Side Story") as the title character. Starring opposite Zegler is Wonder Woman herself, Gal Gadot, as the Evil Queen. As a part of Disney's D23 celebrations, Gadot and Zegler stepped out on the stage in Anaheim, California to share a brief clip from the film and their excitement about bringing this magical movie to life.
Zegler exploded onto the scene in Spielberg's "West Side Story," earning the role of Maria when she was only 16 years old by sending in a video of herself belting out two of the musical's main songs. It's a...

The primary appeal of the Marvel Cinematic Universe has long been its interconnectivity. While it may be fun to watch the solo adventures of, say, Thor or Doctor Strange, the real thrill for the McU's fans came from obsessive, enthused note-taking. Characters and events in one film would inevitably carry over into the next chapter, and a world slowly developed in front of our very eyes. At some point, the MCU -- initially set on a familiar Earth -- separated from the real world, and became an elaborate constructed realm of its own, all derived from many decades of comic book lore. Like Honoré de Balzac's multi-volume La Comédie Humaine, all the stories would now overlap.
The secondary appeal of the MCU is, of course, based in marketing. Because all the stories now overlap, every small detail and minor character could be teased ahead of time. This led to...
