A Complete Guide to the Best Grinch Movies and TV Shows Out There(Photo Credit –IMDb)
The grumpy Grinch, known for his dislike of all things Christmas, has always been a staple of mainstream media during the holidays, thanks to Dr. Suess’s children’s book “How the Grinch Stole Christmas.” But it’s the young adults of this generation that relate to this green goblin more than children do. He’s a mean-spirited, cynical, and sarcastic creature who just does not get the appeal of Christmas. He doesn’t enjoy the racket that Christmas causes and prefers to be in a quiet, peaceful place instead. But when the folks of Whoville go too far with their festivities, he vows to destroy Christmas once and for all.
The Grinch is undeniably fascinating. There have been multiple adaptations of him across the film industry centering around the premise of him trying to ruin Christmas.

One cannot understate the popularity of Ron Howard's over-designed 2000 winter holiday film "Dr. Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas." Although made for an exorbitant budget of $123 million, "Grinch" would earn over $345 million worldwide and become a Christmastime staple in many a home. This despite being a bloated, 105-minute expansion of a 1957 Dr. Seuss picture book that was only 64 pages.
Seuss' "How the Grinch Stole Christmas!" was previously adapted into a 25-minute TV special in 1966, which itself garnered animated follow-ups in 1977 and 1982. Since 2000, the book was also made into a 2007 stage musical, a 2018 animated film called merely "The Grinch," and a 2020 filmed version of the stage production. 2022 also saw the release of a horror spoof of "How the Grinch Stole Christmas!" called "The Mean One."

While Netflix's "Selling Sunset" mainly revolves around luxury residential properties in Los Angeles, it also follows the lives of elite real estate brokers at The Oppenheim Group. One of those real estate brokers just so happens to be soap star Chrishell Stause. The 42-year-old actor is best known for her roles in "All My Children," "The Young and the Restless," and "Days of Our Lives." She's also had a few high-profile relationships over the years, from "This Is Us" star Justin Hartley to "Glee"'s Matthew Morrison.
Many of her romances have been major sources of drama on "Selling Sunset," such as her relationship with Oppenheim Group president Jason Oppenheim, which came to an end in late 2021. Since then, though, Stause seems to have found lasting happiness with Australian musician G Flip. They announced that they had gotten married in May 2023.

Great American Family’s biggest time of the year is here. The network, run by former Hallmark CEO Bill Abbott, is leaning in to the holiday season big time, after seeing a year of massive growth.
According to the year-over-year data, Gaf is up 150% in total viewers in 2023 compared to 2022, and the success can be credited to multiple factors, Abbott tells Variety.
“One of the biggest parts of our growth has been our talent, and the fact that we have such recognizable stars in our stable of talent — and that they are relentless in promoting Great American Family,” he says. “That, in and of itself, has created the awareness necessary to grow like we have.”
Candace Cameron Bure, Trevor Donovan, Jen Lilley, Danica McKellar and Jessica Lowndes all have exclusive deals with Gaf, while their Christmas movie lineup also includes Matthew Morrison, Chad Michael Murray, Lori Loughlin, Jill Wagner and James Tupper.

So You Think You Can Dance premiered on Fox in July 2005. The reality TV dance competition was the brainchild of Simon Fuller and Nigel Lythgoe, producers of American Idol. Throughout its 17 seasons, fans of Sytycd have watched hundreds of contestants cut a rug and leave it all out on the dance floor in hopes of being crowned “America’s favorite dancer” at the end of the competition.

If you're a certified Gleek, then you know that Will Schuster (a.k.a. Mr. Schue) is William McKinley High School's Spanish teacher turned extremely passionate choir director on "Glee," Fox's mega-hit about an underdog show choir and their rise to success. Mr. Schue (Matthew Morrison) enthusiastically leads the glee club through six seasons of ups and downs, but he may just be one of the creepiest characters to ever grace a television screen. His plucky, can-do charm often hides some of the more salacious aspects of his personality (just watch him in the background of any scene involving his female students dancing and you'll see what I mean), and I am still not and will probably never be over his rendition of "The Thong Song" which he performs at school for his engaged coworker, Emma (Jayma Mays) who just happens to show up in his classroom in her wedding...

Have you or someone you love been victimized by Glee‘s bombastic (and often wildly inappropriate) choir teacher Mr. Shue? Well, according to Glee showrunner Ryan Murphy, the Mr. Shue most people know (and didn’t love) wasn’t supposed to be played by actor Matthew Morrison. During an interview on And That’s What You Really Missed, a Glee podcast hosted by former cast members Kevin McHale and Jenna Ushkowitz, Murphy said that the role was originally intended for pop star Justin Timberlake. Yep, you read that right.

Glee: Ryan Murphy says Matthew Morrison’s Mr Schue was originally written as a ‘crystal meth addict’
Ryan Murphy has revealed that Glee was originally written to be much darker, with Mr Schuester’s character a supposed “crystal meth addict”.
Fox’s Emmy-winning musical series starred Matthew Morrison as Mr Schue, a Spanish teacher and director of the high school’s show choir.
On a recent appearance on the And that’s What you Really Missed podcast, hosted by Glee alums Jenna Ushkowitz (Tina Cohen-Chang) and Kevin McHale (Artie Abrams), creator Murphy discussed the early days of developing the show.
“We were having these conversations and I was trying to figure it out,” Murphy explained.
“Like serendipity, I went to the gym and I was in a towel and a guy went up and handed me a script and he said, ‘I had a feeling you were in show choir, am I right?’ And I was like ‘Yeah.’ And he said, ‘My friend wrote this script and you should read it.

“Like serendipity, I went to the gym and I was in a towel and a guy went up and handed me a script and he said, ‘I had a feeling you were in show choir, am I right?’ And I was like ‘Yeah.’ And he said, ‘My friend wrote this script and you should read it.

Ryan Murphy’s “Glee” was known for its pop sensibility and optimistic tone, but that’s not exactly what the original script was like for the Emmy-winning Fox musical series. Murphy guested on the first episode of the “And That’s What You Really Missed” podcast, hosted by “Glee” cast members Kevin McHale (Artie Abrams) and Jenna Ushkowitz (Tina Cohen-Chang), and he spoke about trying to crack an idea for a musical show shortly after signing a first look deal with Fox.
“We were having these conversations and I was trying to figure it out,” Murphy said (via Insider). “Like serendipity, I went to the gym and I was in a towel and a guy went up and handed me a script and he said, ‘I had a feeling you were in show choir, am I right?’ And I was like ‘Yeah.’ And he said, ‘My friend wrote this script and you should read it.

Discovery+ and ID have ordered a three-part docuseries that will explore the real story behind the string of controversies associated with Glee.
Produced by Ample Entertainment, the documentary will include first-hand accounts from key cast and crew members who worked on Fox’s six-season singing drama, which ran from 2009 to 2015.
The untitled project will address the controversies including the child pornography case of Mark Salling, who portrayed Puck.
Salling was arrested and found guilty in 2017 of possessing over 50,000 images of child sex abuse. He later died by suicide at age 35 in 2018 while awaiting sentencing.
Five years after the series ended, Lea Michele, who played Rachel Berry, was accused by former co-star Samantha Marie Ware of making her life a “living hell” due to “traumatic microaggressions” on the set of the show.
Ware’s allegations then ignited several otherGlee alumni to speak out against Michele’s alleged “bullying”.

When “Glee” premiered on Fox in 2009, it instantly became a ratings success and an object of intense fandom. But between the deaths of young stars Cory Monteith, Mark Salling and Naya Rivera, and the allegations of on-set bullying on the part of series lead Lea Michele, the show has become just as well known for the drama surrounding its production as its actual plotlines.
Those controversies will be explored in a new three-part documentary series ordered by the streamer Discovery+. Currently untitled, the series is produced by Ample Entertainment, best known for producing documentary series such as this year’s “The Invisible Pilot” on HBO. ID Productions serves as an additional producer on the docuseries.
