It’s time for another episode of the Wtf Happened to This Horror Movie? video series, and with this one we’re looking back at the fourth entry in the Final Destination franchise, a film called The Final Destination (watch it Here). This is the least popular of the five Final Destination movies we’ve seen to date – and you can hear all about it in the video embedded above!
Directed by David R. Ellis, who previously directed Final Destination 2, from a script written by Eric Bress (who worked on the script for Final Destination 2), The Final Destination has the following synopsis: While enjoying a day at the track, Nick O’Bannon has a horrific premonition of his friends and him all dying in a freak accident involving many racecars. Mere seconds before the vision comes true, he manages to convince them to leave. Although they cheat death then,...

One of the appalling — and appealing — traits of malevolent presences onscreen is that they can be so darn imprecise in their revenge. Often victims of unfairness, ghosts and assorted other supernatural baddies may exact a semi-rational but flawed retribution. (Got bullied? Easy: Kill all the randy teens.) So it’s right to wonder what’s up with the cop killer in “Body Cam,” starring Mary J. Blige, with fine backup from Nat Wolff.
After all, the targets of the ravenous violence appear to be cops of color — not that the police department takes note of the pattern. But for viewers, it should be striking. What can that fact possibly portend? What’s the contemporary moral here? These questions dog “Body Cam,” making it intriguing, though not exactly visionary; it’s more twisted puzzle than horror ride. Not that there aren’t jumpy moments, and tense interludes.

Low budget police drama meets camp biblical nonsense – demons and the horsemen of the apocalypse. To me The Demonologist sounds like a lot of fun (albeit the title sounds like a failed course from a failing university).
I have a soft spot for under paid, over worked (fictional) professional monster hunters. Be they John Constantine (in the comics), Giles from Buffy or Harry Dresden (in the books). I love these grumpy, surly individuals that ultimately end up doing the right thing when the stakes are stacked high enough against them.
Which takes us nicely into talking about The Demonologist. This is very much an origin story. Our “Demonologist” starts out as just another cliched,...

Okay, I will be the first one to admit it, although I may not be the most qualified to make the assessment — there have been some girl trip slash girl flick movies that have really crapped out at the movies. However, that is not the case for the recently released Girls Trip. The star-studded cast along with gifted writers most definitely delivers in this movie. It is a movie in which literally every scene will make you burst your gut — that type of funny on the regular in this film. One of the many A-list stars that appear

Chicago – It wouldn’t be a Jason Statham film if in it he was just fixing cars. In “The Mechanic,” his profession is fixing people. And by fixing, like “The Transporter” he’s again cracking skulls.
Rating: 2.5/5.0
But if you’re going to ask audiences to buy into a remake of the 1972 film by the same name with Charles Bronson originating Jason Statham’s role as Arthur Bishop, a film needs to make it less obvious that it’s just modernizing a 1970s flick for the purposes of making new money on a preexisting script.
While “The Mechanic” takes a page from all other hitman movies and employs every trick in the contract killer book we’ve already seen, the one redeeming difference is Statham’s inner dialogue and his cool, calculated demeanor. Sure, this Jason Statham is again a killer with no back story, but this time he’s also a master of restraint,...
