Fite+ recently announced a new member to its growing faction of pro wrestling companies — Fight Life. Fight Life is a New England-based promotion that runs independent shows throughout the region that feature many national and homegrown names. Among the promotion’s most popular regular participants is “Speedball” Mike Bailey, who is thrilled with the move.
7-Day Free Trial $4.99 / month fite.tv
“Fight Life is an excellent example of how to present independent wrestling in 2023,” Bailey said. “The shows are fast-paced, action-packed, and focused on building up local talent in front of a homegrown audience that is always sent home wanting more.”
The first Fight Life event to stream live on Fite+ will be Fight Life 9 on March 15. The event will feature eight World Championship Tournament Qualifier matches with Fight Life mainstays such as Bailry, Masha Slamovich, Jt Dunn, Mike Graca, Paris Van Dale, Alec Price, Veda Scott, Miracle Generation’s Dustin Waller,...

Another week, another episode of Aew: Dark which features 8 matches on the card this week (thankfully; I do love a shorter show)… On with the review!
Match #1: Sky Blue def. Paris Van Dale
My Thoughts: Paris Van Dale is back again to get squashed by a signed Aew talent! I jest but Van Dale at least got more of a chance to show off her skills in this match than against Tay Melo. Sky Blue once again delivered a solid performance and the growth in her skills is very apparent every time she wrestles. As is the case here. A solid start to the show.
My Score: 2 out of 5 Match #2: The Iron Savages def. Brando Lee & Lucas Chase
My Thoughts: I still can’t get behind the change to The Iron Savages… Give me Bear Country any day. It’s a shame the duo haven’t hit the highs they had before injury,...

Welcome back to another review of Aew Dark: Elevation, this week features nine matches once again and a number of big-name stars rather than jobbers! We’ve got Paul Wight and Matt Menard, so let’s get into the review…
Match #1: Gates of Agony (Toa Liona and Bishop Kaun) def. Big Cuzzo and Teddy Goodz
My Thoughts: I’ve been a fan of Toa Liona and Kaun since they first debuted on Aew programming and its great to see them now a staple of the brand. However, they deserve better than this squash match Imho.
My Score: 1 out of 5 Match #2: Tay Melo def. Paris Van Dale
My Thoughts: Another Tay Melo match and another squash match – I guess that’s because she kicks the faces in on more experienced opponents.
My Score: 1 out of 5 Match #3: Matt Hardy and Private Party (Isiah Kassidy and Marq Quen) def. Kyle Bradley,...

Welcome to this week’s review of Aew Dark: Elevation, the opening salvo in the Aew wrestling week. This time round we’ve got Tony Schiavone and Caprice Coleman on commentary (with Anthony Ogogo joining them in the later matches), which makes for a refreshing change to proceedings. Let’s see what the show has to offer!
Match #1: Emi Sakura def. Paris Van Dale
My Thoughts: Surprise, surprise. Emi Sakura finally gets to have a singles match on one of Aew’s YouTube shows. She’s been stuck in women’s tag/trios whirlygig for weeks now, so it’s weird to see her in a one-on-one match. Though this wasn’t really a match, this was a typical Aew quasi-squash, with Paris Van Dale getting a couple of big spots in – a running bulldog, a open-leg faceplant – but nothing that gave Emi anything to worry about.
My Score:...

Welcome to this week’s review of Aew Dark: Elevation, which is shorter than last week’s show and, hopefully, features better matches than the squashes and multi-man matches we got last week. Let’s find out!
Match #1: Jay Lethal def. Jora Johl
My Thoughts: This was Ok. Nothing exciting but a solid match nonetheless. Lethal made Johl look good and vice versa, with both men selling for the other and getting the best wrestling they could out of each other. Post-match Matt Hardy continued his anger/disappointment at Ahfo members not winning matches, dressing down Johl and threatening to “delete” him from the faction.
My Score: 2 out of 5 Match #2: Red Velvet def. Skye Blue
My Thoughts: Again, another solid if not remarkable match. This was two young, relatively new, wrestlers feeling each other out. This was a bit too short and suffered from the Leyla Hirsch distraction,...
