He’s not the first former journalist to take a job in corporate PR, but he may be first former “fake” journalist to do so.
Chicago law film Edelson PC announced earlier this week that Bob Wiltfong has joined the company as its new Director of Communication & Impact.
Wiltfong served as a Daily Show correspondent from 2004-2005. Prior to that, he worked as a real-life newcaster for ten years. He’s also made appearances on It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Superstore and Jimmy Kimmel Live!
More recently, he wrote a book titled “The Bs Dictionary: Uncovering the Origins and True Meanings of Business Speak,” which was adapted into a popular 2022 Ted Talk.
In his new role at Edelson PC, the firm says Wiltfong will supply content to the firm’s creative wing, as well as directing public relations.
