Warner Bros. Discovery CEO David Zaslav has made headlines recently by being up to his usual tricks of deleting finished films for tax write-offs. This time, it was the Looney Tunes-themed movie, Coyote vs. Acme. The family comedy that put a twist on the classic Wile E. Coyote cartoon featured stars like John Cena and Will Forte and would have the opportunity to be distributed by another studio, but Zaslav set the bid at $70-$80 million. That amount would have potential buyers leaving the floor and now the movie is in danger of being deleted. In a new development at the company, Variety reports that Margot Robbie‘s production company, LuckyChap, has just signed a partnership deal with Zaslav and the famous water tower after the big year they both had with the Greta Gerwig film, Barbie. The partnership is a multi-film, first-look deal on future projects. Robbie’s...

Warner Bros. really likes being in the Margot Robbie business. Warner Bros. Motion Picture Group has signed a multi-year first look feature film deal with Robbie’s production company LuckyChap Entertainment. It will make WB the first stop for any film projects Robbie wishes to produce through her production arm, which she runs alongside Tom Ackerley and Josey McNamara.
It’s no big question as to why. Robbie and Ackerley together produced WB and Mattel’s “Barbie,” which grossed $1.45 billion as the highest-grossing film of 2023, and went on to earn eight Oscar nominations, including for Best Picture.
But, not so fast, “Barbie” fans. That doesn’t a sequel is incoming. The announcement made on February 12 by WB film chief heads Mike De Luca and Pam Abdy doesn’t mention any specific projects just yet, nor does it stipulate whether Robbie would star in the films.

Warner Bros. is staying in business with Margot Robbie, the star and producer of 2023 box office champion Barbie. The studio has set a first look film deal with LuckyChap, the banner Robbie runs with Tom Ackerley and Josey McNamara.
Barbie stands as Warners’ highest grossing film of all time with $1.45 billion. It became a cultural phenomenon and landed eight Oscar nominations, including for best picture.
The deal is another feather in the cap for Warner Bros. film bosses Michael De Luca and Pamela Abdy, who have focused on courting top talent, signing Tom Cruise to a much ballyhooed (but non-exclusive) deal, and bringing Ryan Coogler’s next movie to the studio (wooing him with a deal in which the rights revert to him after a period of time).
These public facing moves have helped counter negative sentiment parent company Warner Bros. Discovery and CEO David Zaslav have earned in creative...

North Country was a 2005 drama directed by Niki Caro and starring Charlize Theron. In the film, Theron played miner Josey Aimes, who upset many of her male colleagues for working the same profession as them. As a result, Josey and many other female miners experienced sexual harassment at the hands of their male co-workers. This resulted in a historic sexual harassment lawsuit, which is based on true events.
To prepare for the role, the blockbuster superstar met the actual miners who North Country was based on. Doing so made the movie all too real for the actor.

Heather Morris is opening up about her eating disorder, and how her late “Glee” co-star, Naya Rivera, came to her aid.
In a new appearance on the “And That’s What You Really Missed” podcast Thursday, hosted by her former co-stars Jenna Ushkowitz and Kevin McHale, Morris recalled a particular occasion in which Rivera followed her into her dressing room to confront her.
“I had developed an eating disorder. I stopped getting my period. I was so in my head about food and what it was doing for me,” Morris shared, noting that things escalated when the success of the Fox musical comedy led to a concert tour in 2010. While she didn’t specify her eating order, Morris said that she would often look at the food being served to her cast on tour but not eat — something Rivera noticed.
“I can’t remember exactly what she was saying, but...
