- He was behind several of the Danish translations of foreign comics series and characters (Basserne for Beetle Bailey, Vakse Viggo for Gaston Lagaffe, Spirilen for le Marsupilami, etc).
- Arne Stenby founded the Interpresse publishing house in Copenhagen, as well as the Stenby Tryk printing company.
- He launched Basserne (Beetle Bailey) in 1972, a Danish comic which focuses on reprints of American newspaper strips (Garfield, etc), with the starring role going to the Mort Walker army life comic strip. Basserne is the best-selling title of the Interpresse publishing house.
- In 2012, retired at age 82. Arne lives in Birkerød, Denmark.
