Donald Trump defended his mental fitness during a campaign rally in South Carolina Wednesday, claiming he was “sarcastic” when confusing Republican rival Nikki Haley with Rep. Nancy Pelosi in January.
“I’s very hard to be sarcastic when I interpose. I’m not a Nicki fan, and I’m not a Pelosi fan. And when I purposely interpose names they said, ‘He didn’t know Pelosi from Nikki, from tricky Nikki,” Trump said when speaking to his crowd of supporters in North Charleston. GOP presidential candidate Nikki Haley addressed Donald Trump‘s mocking remarks about her husband and voiced her concerns about his cognitive decline in a new interview.
Trump recently targeted Haley’s husband, Michael Haley, for his absence on the campaign trail due to his current deployment overseas as a National Guardsman.
The former South Carolina governor and U.N. Ambassador under the Trump administration, Haley expressed her resilience in the face of Trump’s attacks on her family and emphasized the broader impact of such disparagement on all members of the military.
“To mock my husband, Michael, is something we can handle,” Haley told the Today Show‘s Craig Melvin. “But when one member of the military is mocked, it reflects on all members of our armed forces.”

During a rally in Conway, South Carolina, on Sunday, Donald Trump made a jab at fellow Republican presidential campaign opponent Nikki Haley and her husband.
Haley’s husband, Major Michael Haley of the South Carolina Army National Guard, is currently deployed in the Horn of Africa. During the Saturday rally, Trump questioned Michael’s absence during her campaign, implying the couple may be having marital issues.
Trump told the crowd, “What happened to her husband? Where is he? He’s gone! He knew.”
After Trump’s rally, Haley also had a rally in Gilbert, South Carolina. Haley defended herself and her husband against Trump’s remarks.
“I am proud of Michael’s service,” Halye said. “Every military spouse knows it’s a family sacrifice.”
In an interview with Fox News, Haley criticized Trump’s lack of military service in light of the comments, as well as his previous comments about veterans.

Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley showed up on Saturday Night Live‘s cold open to ask Donald Trump (James Austin Johnson) about his refusal to get on the debate stage with his lone remaining GOP primary challenger.
“My question is: Why won’t you debate Nikki Haley?” she asked during a faux CNN town hall event in her home state of South Carolina, which is next in line in the primary calendar.
Trump’s response was loud and confused: “Oh my God, it’s her: The woman who was in charge of security on Jan.

Ayo Edebiri hosted Saturday Night Live but made a cameo during the cold open to confront Nikki Haley.
The Bear star made an early appearance and asked the Republican candidate if slavery was the cause of the Civil War.
“I was just curious, what would you say was the main cause of the Civil War, and do you think it starts with an s and ends with a lavery?” Edebiri asked.
Haley responded, “Yep, I probably should’ve said that the first time.”
The presidential hopeful got the honor of introducing the show saying, “Live from New York, it’s Saturday Night.”
Back in December, Haley was asked during a New Hampshire town hall what the reason was for the Civil War in the U.S. but never mentioned the word slavery in her response.

Saturday Night Live instantly started receiving backlash after Nikki Haley made a surprise appearance during the Feb. 3 show.
During a town hall sketch for the cold open, the Republican presidential candidate made a cameo to ask James Austin Johnson’s Donald Trump some questions of her own.
Haley started out by asking, “Why won’t you debate Nikki Haley?” in reference to the former president refusing to participate in presidential debates ahead of the 2024 election.
Johnson’s Trump responded, “Oh my God. It’s her, the woman who was in charge of security on Jan. 6. It’s Nancy Pelosi.”
“Are you doing Ok, Donald? Haley proceeded to ask. “You might need a mental competency test.”
“You know what, I did,” Johnson’s Trump said. “I took the test and I aced it, Ok. Perfect score. They said I’m 100 percent mental and, you know, I’m confident because I’m a man.

Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley crashed “Saturday Night Live” on Feb. 3 to taunt Donald Trump (played by James Austin Johnson) in a town hall sketch, but ended up getting schooled by host Ayo Edebiri.
Popping up at the end of the sketch, Edebiri posed a pointed question: “I was just curious, what would you say was the main cause of the civil war? And do you think it starts with an S and ends with a ‘lavery’?”
“Yeah, I probably should have said that the first time,” Haley admitted.
Edebiri’s joke was a reference to a December 2023 town hall in New Hampshire where a voter asked Haley what caused the war, to which she responded, “I think the cause of the Civil War was basically how government was going to run. The freedoms and what people could and couldn’t do.”
Before Edebiri appeared, Haley was the one asking the questions.

Nikki Haley made a surprise appearance in the Saturday Night Live cold open tonight, this time as a “concerned South Carolina voter” who asks questions of Donald Trump (James Austin Johnson) at a CNN town hall.
The skit had Gayle King and Charles Barkley, hosts of CNN’s King Charles, moderating the town hall with the former president, with Johnson again playing Trump and with his propensity to sprinkle in political rhetoric with a pop culture stream of consciousness.

Perhaps the best compliment that you can give a narrative feature is to say that it feels like a documentary. Not to say the shot composition is uninspired and the subject dry, but it’s a way to spotlight just how you forget this is actually an actor reading written words, but instead, believe everything happening in front of you is real and true. Perhaps that’s the highest compliment a film like “Tendaberry” can receive.

Once upon a time, on a planet without widely accessible internet, people could spread outlandish urban legends without being instantly debunked. Actually, they can still do that, provided the recipient of said ludicrous information has been conditioned by bad-faith actors to doubt what educated people refer to as facts ... but you're here to learn why Bryan Cranston panicked over a stunt on "Malcolm in the Middle," so let's cut to the chase.
Cranston was born in 1956. This means he was eight years old when "Goldfinger" became a global phenomenon. For kids of his era, Bond movies represented the apex of cinema. It was just about all they wanted to talk about. And people found some amusingly inventive ways to talk about them.
I was born in 1973, and by the time I was old enough to get in on the Bond discourse, one of the wildest stories still making the rounds was that actor Shirley Eaton,...

In 2023, Donald Trump‘s super PACs spent $50 million in donor funds on legal expenses.
Trump spent the money after being criminally indicted in his failed effort to overturn the election and misuse of classified documents. He also faces defamation and civil fraud cases in civil courts.
The former president began raising millions of donations to him after he lost to Joe Biden in the 2020 presidential election.
Trump pushed false claims of voter fraud to encourage his supporters to donate after his loss, attempts which have since become crucial to two of the indictments filed against him.

Republican presidential candidate and former governor of South Carolina Nikki Haley posted on X a picture of a bird cage and birdseed. She said the Trump campaign had left it outside of her hotel room door – clearly a reference to Trump’s previous insult.
Haley captioned the photo, “After a day of campaigning, this is the message waiting for me outside my hotel room,” followed by the hashtags #PrettyPatheticTryAgain and #YouJustMadeMyCaseForMe.
Donald Trump had previously called Haley a “birdbrain” after the GOP second debate, in which many pundits had declared her the winner.
The debate was last week at the Reagan Library in Simi Valley, California.
While many across the internet have accused, Haley of fabrication journalists confirmed the Trump campaign was responsible for the stunt.
