If you wish upon a star, Disney’s latest animated film, Wish, will come to Digital, 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD platforms sooner than you think. A heartfelt celebration of the magic of Disney and a joyful new entry to the studio’s animated film legacy, Walt Disney Animation Studios‘ Wish becomes available to view at home through digital retailers on January 23. Participating platforms include Prime Video, Apple TV, and Vudu, with 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD versions landing on shelves on March 12.

The new musical centers on Asha, a sharp-witted idealist, makes a wish so powerful that it is answered by a cosmic force—a little ball of boundless energy called Star.
Together, Asha and Star confront a most formidable foe – the ruler of the magical kingdom of Rosas, King Magnifico – to save her community and prove that when the will of one courageous human connects with the magic of the stars, wondrous things can happen.
Wish will be out in theaters on November 22, 2023.
On top of Ariana DeBose, Alan Tudyk and Chris Pine, the movie will also star a handful of familiar faces as voices to royals, friends and foes.

Walt Disney Animation Studios’ new trailer for the musical comedy Wish reveals more details about the film’s fantasy world. The latest trailer was accompanied by an updated, complete list of the voice cast.
Ariana DeBose was previously announced as lending her voice to the film’s teenage heroine, Asha. Chris Pine channels classic Disney villains as King Magnifico, and Alan Tudyk provides the voice of Asha’s pet goat with a surprisingly deep voice, Valentino.

Based on an original idea, with a script co-written by “Frozen” filmmaker Jennifer Lee and Allison Moore, follows Asha (Ariana DeBose) and direction from Disney legend Chris Buck and Fawn Veerasunthorn, a 17-year-old girl who lives in a land where wishes come true. That’s where she discovers that Lord Magnifico (Chris Pine), the leader of her kingdom who has “the power of wishes” (as she says in the trailer), might have more malevolent intent. She sets off on an adventure with an anthropomorphic wishing star and a talking goat.
