It's game over for Figure It Out on Nickelodeon. The competition series has been cancelled according to host Jeff Sutphen.
Responding to a fan's question about the future of the series, Sutphen wrote, "unless your secret talent is bringing canceled shows back we will not be shooting any more episodes of #Fio #sadface"
Hosted by Summer Sanders, the Figure It Out game show ran for four seasons between 1997 and 2000. The series was revived in June 2012 with Sutphen and aired for two more seasons. The finale episode aired on July 16th of this year.
Though Figure It Out is over, Sutphen has started his own mock talk show, The Garage Show with Jeff Sutphen. The most recent episode features visits by fellow Nickelodeon hosts Marc Summers, Kirk Fogg and Phil Moore.

In the summer of 2011, fans of the nostalgiac '90s programming on Nickelodeon were delighted to see a new middle-of-the-night block on TeenNick called "The '90s Are All That." From 12am to 4am, people can see shows like All That, Kenan and Kel, and Hey Arnold. The response to the programming was highly positive, often having weeklong trending topics on Twitter and high Nielsen ratings. Now it seems Nickelodeon is taking another step into the past by bringing back one of their classic game shows, Figure It Out.
Figure It Out was a late '90s childrens' game show that aired on Nickelodeon for 4 seasons (1997-1999) and was hosted by Olympic swimmer Summer Sanders. The show centered around children with unique talents, and four celebrities (mostly stars on Nickelodeon shows at the time) would have to guess what they were by asking yes or no questions. Periodically, they would...

Children of the '90s, rejoice: Nickelodeon just announced that it is bringing the seminal late-'90s game show "Figure it Out" back to the airwaves for 40 brand-new episodes.
The series ran for four seasons from 1997-1999, and featured four famous (among kids) celebrities trying to guess a kid's hidden talent. Olympic swimmer Summer Sanders, who recently competed on Food Network's "Celebrity Cook Off," hosted.
Marjorie Cohn, Nickelodeon's President of Development and Original Programming, says in a statement, "'Figure It Out' is a show that celebrates kids and their wonderful and often bizarre talents. In this internet age where kids are expressing themselves online, it feels timely to give them a TV platform to showcase those talents in a uniquely Nickelodeon way."
Sanders won't be back as host -- instead Nick producer and "101 Ways to Leave a Game Show" host Jeff Sutphen will take the reins. No...

They've finally done it. They turned watching Antiques Roadshow into a competitive sport. On the new game show It's Worth What?, hosted by Cedric the Entertainer, contestants compete to guess the value of objects in a chance to win $1 million. The items range from iconic clothing like a Princess Di dress or one of Elvis' jumpsuits to oddities like to a prehistoric skeleton or an original Iron Man comic book.
Players take part in games such as putting items in order of value, matching an item to its price or selecting the more costly of two weirdly related items. It's like The Price is Right on steroids. In a recent conference call interview host Cedric the Entertainer discussed the most memorable moments and contestants so far and what sets the show apart from similar games.

The most out there premise ever vetted by network executives was apparently greenlit by ABC. ABC has given a series order to "101 Ways to Leave a Game Show," a game show hosted by Jeff Sutphen and executive produced by Matt Kunitz of "Wipeout" fame. Summer sees this insurance nightmare coming, as the six-episode series features contestants competing in a series of multiple-choice questions for a $50,000 cash prize, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The contestants, when eliminated, are ejected off the show in grand style. Jettisoned off an airplane wing, shot out of a cannon, pushed off the top of a moving semi-truck, practically keel-hauled as they are dragged underwater by a one-ton anchor or yanked off...

Exclusive: ABC has given a series order to 101 Ways to Leave a Game Show, a game show based on Endemol’s international format. Hosted by Jeff Sutphen (BrainSurge) and executive produced by Matt Kunitz (Wipeout), the six-episode series is slated to run this summer. 101 Ways, which shot a pilot for ABC last summer, features contestants competing in a series of multiple-choice questions for a $50,000 cash prize. The twist is that the main attraction comes after a contestant is actually eliminated as each of them is being ejected from the show in a spectacular fashion - i.e., being flown away strapped to the wing of a biplane, shot out of a cannon, pushed off the top of a moving semi-truck, dragged underwater by a one-ton anchor or yanked off a dock by a speedboat. Ouch! "101 Ways to Leave a Game Show is unlike any other show we've done before,” said David Goldberg,...

I took my kids to a taping of their favorite TV show and lived to tell the tale.
momlogic's Julie: My kids are Obsessed with the Nickelodeon show "Brain Surge." So when my husband heard they were filming in Los Angeles this week, he thought it might be a fun surprise to take them to a taping. We got tickets from On Camera Audiences. Tickets are free.
Yesterday was a minimum day at school, which meant the kids get out at 1:30. We were told to be at the taping no later than 3:15. We got there by 3:00.
There was a long line outside the studio and it looked like they had also bussed some schools in. After waiting about 45 minutes in the line -- and seeing many people go in before us -- we were told that "it wasn't looking good" for us to get in. What? I...
