Actor Nathan Fillion’s star power grew thanks to starring in shows like Castle and The Rookie. But before those two hit shows, he considered his sci-fi cult hit Firefly as the show that kick-started his career.

Fillion initially didn’t know he’d be able to make a living from acting. In an interview with Closer, he confided that he saw acting as more of a side gig when he went to school. But getting an actual acting job that paid decently changed Fillion’s trajectory.
“I was going to finish off schooling and four months before graduation I got a job on a soap and moved to New York City. I did three years there, moved to Los Angeles on the advice of Bob Woods, who played my uncle on the show.

When James Gunn and Peter Safran took over as CEOs of DC Studios last year, we knew nothing would be the same. Indeed, it didn’t take long for the studio to officially announce the end of the DC Extended Universe and the start of another cinematic universe, Dcu, that will replace it as a soft reboot. That change in leadership led to the cancelation of the ‘Man of Steel’ sequel, ‘Wonder Woman 3,’ and Dwayne Johnson’s plans for his Black Adam. However, not only unproduced movies were the victims of this leadership change at DC Studios.
The former leadership of then-DC Films wanted to expand Dceu content on streaming as well, which led to the announcement of ‘Batgirl’ and ‘Blue Beetle.’ However, ‘Blue Beetle’ was later changed to have a theatrical release, and ‘Batgirl’ was ultimately canceled even though the project was already in post-production. DC delivered a lot of live-action and animated content in the last few years. Although the studio has been struggling with the live-action content amid the imminent end of DC Extended Universe, DC never fails to deliver us some animation every year. Apart from the animated movies such as ‘Legion of Super-Heroes,’ ‘Batman: The Doom That Came to Gotham,’ and ‘Justice League: Warworld,’ we also watched the ‘Harley Quinn,’ series, which spawned the ‘Valentine’s Day Special’ and its fourth season this year.
Harley Quinn animated series premiered in November 2019 on the former DC Universe streaming service, followed by the second season only two months after the first one ended. After the DC Universe was shut down as a streaming service, the series was moved to HBOMax, which was rebranded to simply Max in May this year. Despite all these changes between the streaming services, the ‘Harley Quinn’ animated series survived all those changes,...

Rob Zombie, the mastermind behind some of the most polarizing films in the horror genre, has a unique style that’s both gritty and over-the-top. From animated escapades to harrowing tales of terror, Zombie’s filmography is a rollercoaster of emotions. Let’s dig through the ditches of his cinematic world, ranking his horror movies from the least captivating to the absolute best.
Anchor Bay 9. The Haunted World of El Superbeasto (2009)
Kicking off our list is Zombie’s animated foray, The Haunted World of El Superbeasto. This film follows the adventures of a washed-up luchador and his sultry sidekick as they face off against the diabolical Dr. Satan. While the animation style and voice acting are commendable, the film’s raunchy humor and disjointed narrative might not resonate with everyone. It’s a wild ride, but perhaps not the most memorable in Zombie’s oeuvre.
