Rafael Nadal isn't currently competing in the Atp Tour's events, but he's practicing hard, preparing for a long-awaited comeback.
In 2023, the 22-time Grand Slam champion collected only 45 ranking points and left the Top 10 for the first time since 2005. He may face further drop in the rankings if he won't add more points to his name. However, Nadal will be eyeing specifically one tournament this year.
The Spaniard should return to the courts at the 2023 Monte-Carlo Masters, despite denying reports that his comeback is set to happen there. Even if it doesn't, Nadal will surely compete at the 2023 Roland Garros, an event where he may lift his 23rd major title.
Only a few months before the tournament is set to begin, the 14-time Roland Garros champion received a replica of his statue for the Rafa Nadal Museum. After receiving the replica, Nadal spoke to the representatives of the Fft, Amélie Mauresmo and Gilles Moretton,...

With her victory on Monday night, the 29-year-old from Lyon also became the oldest Wta Finals titleholder after Serena Williams, who won the championships at 33 in 2014.
“It’s definitely a lot of giant happiness. A crazy final, a lot of intensity on every point. Just really proud of the work we did through all the year. It was a great match — really went for it. I’m really happy to win my biggest title”, said Garcia, who clawed her way out of a group including top-ranked Iga Swiatek, Coco Gauff and Daria Kasatkina.
No. 6 Garcia is the second Frenchwoman to win the tournament after Amelie Mauresmo, who beat compatriot Mary Pierce in 2005.

Deadline is wondering if Jonah Hill’s anti-gay slur is going to hurt the box office of 22 Jump Street. First of all, have they seen this movie? There’s nothing about this thing that makes me think a gay slur matters to the target audience. Secondly, despite what they’re saying about his apology, I thought he did a pretty admirable job, particularly on Jimmy Fallon. Still, they note that Hill’s Twitter has been silent since the incident and the video views on the trailers have gone flat. And Hill skipped the premiere of his own movie.
Three weeks ago, Disney said that it had no plans for Princess Leia toys. After a #WeWantLeia campaign on social media, that’s all changed, although Disney is acting like this was the plan all along.

In our annual Visibility Awards, we formally recognize the people who have positively or negatively impacted lesbian and bi visibility in American entertainment during the year. (See previous years here: 2008, 2007, 2006, 2005, 2004.)
From Best Movie to Worst Song to Lesbian/Bi Woman of the Year, these awards recognize the television shows, movies, music, books and people who entertained, inspired, or disappointed us in 2009.
Last year, some of the category winners were chosen by both the AfterEllen.com staff and AfterEllen.com readers. This year, AfterEllen.com staff and contributing writers chose the winners for each category, as readers will be given the opportunity to vote on a wider range of topics and categories in our first annual Lesbian/Bi Women's Choice Awards in January.
Once again this year, we've included international people, shows and movies as a reflection of the increasing awareness of lesbian and bisexual visibility around the world made possible by the Internet.
