- With her sister Ada, she found her older sister Maria Montez drowned in the bathtub of her Parisian home in Suresnes, presumably suffering from a heart attack, at the age of only thirty-nine. It seems that Maria's syncope was due to the actress's habit of bathing with excessively hot water temperatures.
- Willingly or not Teresita fulfilled her late oldest sister Maria Montez's dream when she acted in El andén (1957): to film in Spanish (and in Spain) and to work under her real surname: Gracia.
