Though R&b singer Miguel has been widely beloved in his genre since his major label debut thirteen years ago, the 37-year-old is besting himself in huge ways right now. “Sure Thing” — a contemporary classic that Miguel first wrote around 2007 and released as his first album’s second single in 2011 — is the No. 1 song on Pop radio right now and has spent five weeks in that spot. It’s at the eleventh spot on the Hot 100 this week too. While Miguel has earned a Grammy and 13 nominations, including Song of...

"Si Una Vez," is one of our favorite songs from Selena Quintanilla, and it just got remixed with a music video and all. Play-n-Skillz, Leslie Gracie, Frankie J and Wisin have all joined forces to give a modern twist to this timeless classic. The story line of the video takes place in Las Vegas with two lovers feeling betrayed by the other's actions. At the end of the video, Play-n-Skillz honor the late Tejano singer by saying, "Rest in peace la reina (the queen), Selena." While Leslie and Frankie are the main singers of the remix, we get some rap verses from Wisin (which were not in the original song). Most of the lyrics remain the same except for some minor...

German electronic music producer Robin Shulz is as tapped into the recent house trend as anybody. Remixes like last year’s “Waves” and “Prayer in C” solidified the artist’s role as a purveyor of the somewhat tropical, largely instrumental sort of deep house that’s taken the airwaves by storm as of late. Following in the same creative vein, Shulz has delivered once more with his latest reimagining, “Sugar.”
An arrangement that borrows heavily from Baby Bash’s 2003 hit “Suga Suga,” the track features the same chorus, but updated verses – all of which are contributed by Canadian vocalist Francesco Yates instead of the original’s Frankie J. A guitar riff reminiscent of the original is complimented by an ethereal strings section, and a four-four beat anchors the whole of the production to house music.

If your show runs an hour - or approximately 45 minutes with ad breaks - it's a drama. If it runs approximately half of that, you're looking at a sitcom.
Right? Those are 'the rules' – aren't they?
Perhaps not. Particularly in the last few years, television on both sides of the Atlantic has begun experimenting with format more readily than ever – so why does the half-hour drama remain an uncelebrated form?
It's a proposition I put to actor Frankie J Alvarez – one of the stars of HBO series Looking – in December. There's no hard and fast rule that means a single episode of drama can't last a half hour, is there?
"You're completely right – there is no rule," Alvarez agrees. "Although the powers-that-be have a hard time changing... and so it feels like it is a rule."
Alvarez has plenty to say on this topic, given that Looking – though originally developed...

“Taken 3″ is doing so well in theaters, that the studio already released a trailer for “Taken 4.”
That’s what Jimmy Kimmel told his audience on Wednesday night when introducing a parody of the franchise, which Liam Neeson is completely on board with making fun of.

The plot, which producers of the big screen action hits are probably actually considering at this point, revolves around a missing dog named Paco and, of course, Neeson’s “particular set of skills.”

No shirt—and he still gets service! Ariana Grande's brother, Frankie J., hit the 2014 American Music Awards in Los Angeles on Sunday, Nov. 23, to co-host the Coca Cola red carpet. But before the petite powerhouse—who took home New Artist of the Year at the 2013 show—even stepped onto the red carpet, Frankie J. arrived—sans shirt! Instead, the Big Brother 16 alum, 31, paired his baby pink pants and bubblegum-tinted platinum hair with a white, short-sleeved button-up that was literally painted on. Adding a little formality, Frankie J. [...]...

[Apologies for the 24 hour delay in this week's recap. There was this little event called the 86th Academy Awards that probably prevented even you from catching this episode on its first airing.] If there is one thing we've learned seven episodes into "Looking," it's that no one is going to stay happy for long and each of our three heroes may have serious self-destructive tendencies. After trying to alleviate Richie's doubts about their relationship following Dom's drama-filled 40th birthday picnic, Patrick's anxiety over his sister's wedding gets the best of him in the worst way possible. Granted, Richie bailing right after they cross the Golden Gate was a bit much, but could his own doubts about the affair be at play? Perhaps he's just as nervous about meeting Patrick's parents as Patrick is? In any event, in less than 35 minutes of air time we've gone from a couple in the midst of complete bliss to a couple on the cliff. Frankly, it just seems a bit much. But let's talk about the most important revelation in these scenes: It's Gone. Dear God It's Gone.

When you sit down with Jonathan Groff, it may be to talk about his new HBO series, Looking, but the conversation expands to cover all sorts of topics. Sure, we touched on Groff’s starring role in the new HBO series and his on set bonding with fellow cast members Frankie J. Alvarez and Murray Bartlett. We even covered how much nudity viewers can expect on Looking. But those essentials out of the way, the conversation naturally opened up to include Groff’s love for Beyoncé and Diet Coke, whether he pays attention to gossip about himself and what being in the upcoming HBO film, The Normal Heart means to him.
Looking premieres this Sunday on HBO and while there are many reasons to tune in (we recently gave you 11, to be exact), know that Groff himself will be at the top of the list.

I'm just going to go out on a limb here and say that I don't think that Kelly Osbourne is anti-transgender. She's been hugely supportive of the Glbt community. I do think her ranting on about her ex-fiance cheating on her with a "chick with a dick" is horribly insensitive and that she knows better, and should say she knows better and apologize.

In our annual Visibility Awards, we formally recognize the people who have positively or negatively impacted lesbian and bi visibility in American entertainment during the year. (See previous years here: 2008, 2007, 2006, 2005, 2004.)
From Best Movie to Worst Song to Lesbian/Bi Woman of the Year, these awards recognize the television shows, movies, music, books and people who entertained, inspired, or disappointed us in 2009.
Last year, some of the category winners were chosen by both the AfterEllen.com staff and AfterEllen.com readers. This year, AfterEllen.com staff and contributing writers chose the winners for each category, as readers will be given the opportunity to vote on a wider range of topics and categories in our first annual Lesbian/Bi Women's Choice Awards in January.
Once again this year, we've included international people, shows and movies as a reflection of the increasing awareness of lesbian and bisexual visibility around the world made possible by the Internet.
