Billie Eilish has revealed that she “grieves” the little girl she was before her career took off.
Speaking of the moment she put out her first music at the age of 13, the Happier Than Ever singer said that she “strives to be a kid again”.
In a new cover story for Vogue, Eilish invited a group of young activists to have a chat about many topics, including combating the climate crisis.
At one point in the interview, climate activist Tori Tsui asked Eilish “how she deals with the weight of millions of people’s expectations.”
“It’s wild,” Eilish replied. “In my head, nobody knows who I am. Nobody knows what I look like.
“I was 13 when I put stuff out for the first time,” she added. “I look back at who I was, when fewer eyes were on me. I grieve that. I strive to be that kid again.

Snoop Dogg has revealed that Dionne Warwick once “scared” him after calling him out for his lyrics.
The interaction occurred in the 1990s when the rapper, whose real name is Calvin Cordozar Broadus Jr, first found success in the music industry.
“Walk on By” singer Warwick was not impressed with Snoop Dogg’s decision to use misogynistic slurs in his songs and, in a new documentary, revealed she set up a meeting to dress the rappers down.
In CNN’s Dionne Warwick: Don’t Make Me Over, Warwick, 82, and Snoop Dogg, 51, recalled the meeting, with the latter saying: “We were kind of, like, scared and shook up.”
The rapper said that he and his fellow rap stars, including Tupac and Death Row Records founder Suge Knight, showed up almost 10 minutes early as they feared arriving too late.
“We’re powerful right now, but she’s been powerful forever,” Snoop Dogg continued.

British artists have made history after they were responsible for every one of the top 10 singles of 2022.
Artists such as Harry Styles, Ed Sheeran, Kate Bush and new artist Cat Burns all topped the UK’s end of year sales charts, which is based on combined streaming and sales activity throughout 2022.
The victory is the first time Brits have had so many hits in the top 10 since the music industry began publishing sales charts more than 50 years ago.
“As It Was” by Harry Styles was the biggest song in the UK, having spent more than 10 consecutive weeks at No 1.
The song was also the only single to surpass 180 million streams in 2022, according to Official Charts data by the British Phonographic Industry (BPI).
Styles’ also secured 2022’s biggest selling album with Grammy and Mercury shortlisted Harry’s House.
