Running March 21-23, the Forum hosts now a swathe of ever building industry initiatives at Series Mania, which unspools in Lille, northern France, over March 17-24.
450 projects from 66 countries answered the call for admissions, an all time record, said Francesco Capurro, head of the Series Mania Forum.
“We have more and more projects from outside Europe. An increasing number from Africa: Kenya, Senegal, Nigeria, which is very encouraging, as well as from other big markets outside Europe, like Canada, Turkey, Taiwan,” he added.

Greenwich Entertainment has landed North American distribution rights to Savior for Sale: da Vinci’s Lost Masterpiece?, a documentary about the controversy surrounding the most expensive artwork ever sold.
Antoine Vitkine directed the film about the Salvator Mundi, a portrait of Christ as “Savior of the world” that Leonardo da Vinci painted more than 500 years ago. For hundreds of years the painting’s whereabouts remained a mystery, but in 2005 the lost masterpiece suddenly resurfaced at an auction in New Orleans. Or so some art historians, speculators and other interested parties asserted.

MK2 Films has closed a first batch of key deals on Antoine Vitkine’s critically acclaimed documentary “The Savior For Sale: The Story of Salvator Mundi.”
The film lifts the veil on the painting titled “Salvator Mundi” (The Savior of the World), which mysteriously resurfaced several years ago and was sold at Christie’s for a record $450 million to the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, Mohammed bin Salman, in 2017.
“The Savior For Sale: The Story of Salvator Mundi” recently premiered on France 5, a channel of French broadcaster France Televisions, and was unanimously praised by critics. MK2 Films has now sold the title to Koch Media for a multi territory deal, Avalon (Spain), Nos Lusomundo (Portugal), Planeta Inform (Cis), Andrews Film (Taiwan) and South Korea (Challan). Further talks are underway, notably in Japan, Scandinavia and Australia/New Zealand.

Paris-based mk2 films has launched sales on Robert Guédiguian’s youthful 1960s West Africa-set love story Mali Twist at this year’s Unifrance Rendez-Vous with French Cinema, which is running online from January 13 to 15.
The company has unveiled a first look image (see above) of the feature set against the backdrop of the febrile atmosphere of post-Colonial Mali, where youngsters danced to rock and roll music in the capital of Bamako against a backdrop of dreams of political renewal.
