Back in February of 2020, right before the world shut down for a while, it was announced that John R. Leonetti, director of the horror films Annabelle, Wolves at the Door, Wish Upon, and The Silence, had signed on to direct the folklore-inspired horror movie Lullaby for Alcon Entertainment, with Game of Thrones‘ Oona Chaplin attached to star. Lullaby has since made its way through production and is now ready to be released. Deadline reports that Vertical Entertainment has acquired the North American distribution rights and will be giving Lullaby a theatrical and VOD release on December 16th.
Scripted by Alex Greenfield and Ben Powell, Lullaby centers on a new mother who discovers a lullaby in an ancient book and soon regards the song as a blessing. But her world transforms into a nightmare when the lullaby brings forth the ancient demon Lilith.

“Bitterness, really” is Paul Kaye’s explanation of what drove his satirical red-carpet interviewer Dennis Pennis in the nineties. “I’d hit thirty, I’d sort of failed as a musician, I’d failed as an artist I felt at the time.” Ambushing Hollywood’s elite in the persona of a brash, punk nuisance wasn’t Kaye’s first choice for stardom, he admits. “It wasn’t how I expected to forge a career. Of all the things I thought I’d end up doing, it wasn’t that.”

Memo to self: Never take FIFA President Sepp Blatter to a strip club as he is obviously not a fan of making it rain. The outgoing exec held his first press conference in Zurich this morning since he announced last month he would be leaving (or did he?) his post as the top dog in charge of soccer's largest governing body amid a growing corruption scandal, where one of the topics of discussion was setting a date for a new FIFA presidential election. Tweeting a joke that he was on his way to the FIFA executive meeting to secure the 2026 World Cup for North Korea, comedian Simon Brodkin, also known as Lee Nelson, ran up to the stage where Blatter was sitting and showered him with a big wad of fake...

It’s part of his wife’s past he’d likely prefer to forget about, but Kanye West caught a glimpse of Kim Kardashian's sex tape with ex-boyfriend Ray J on a flag that waved during his set at the Glastonbury Festival on Saturday (June 27).
The flag not only featured the “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” star’s 2003 mishap, but also the lyrics to West’s hit “Gold Digger”- “Get down girl, go head get down. Get down girl, go head get down.”
Making matters even worse, British comedian Simon Brodkin jumped onstage and interrupted Kanye during “Black Skinhead,” later tweeting, “I Kanye’d Kanye. That was for you @taylorswift13 #LeeZus.”...

A dose of his own medicine! Kanye West is known for his stage-crashing antics, but on Saturday, June 27 at the Glastonbury Festival, the Grammy-winning rapper, 38, was the one who got an unwelcome on-stage guest. Dermot O'Leary found himself in the middle of a nudity mishap on The Xtra Factor on Sunday (November 23).
The X Factor host was taking part in a routine Skype chat segment with Sarah-Jane Crawford for the ITV2 spinoff show when the incident occurred.
During the Skype call, a viewer named Lara from London asked O'Leary to name his favourite X Factor acts from over the years.
As O'Leary was answering the question, a woman appearing to be topless entered Lara's room. The woman was covering her chest during her brief time on camera.
It is unclear whether the incident was an accident or was staged by the caller and the topless, unidentified woman.
O'Leary treated the situation with humour as cameras cut back to the Xtra Factor studio, saying: "You'll have to forgive me, you sort of broke up there. Can we go back to Lara?"
He then quipped: "Can we do this every week?...

A stage invasion took place during tonight's live X Factor show (November 8).
As Stereo Kicks performed their rendition of Michael Jackson's 'You Are Not Alone', Lee Nelson - the alter-ego of comedian Simon Brodkin - ran onto the stage before being escorted off.
All four judges praised the band for their professionalism during the incident, with Simon Cowell joking that Louis Walsh had added yet another member to the eight-piece group.
Mel B then revealed that Cheryl Fernandez-Versini originally thought the invader was Take That's Mark Owen.
An official spokesperson for The X Factor told Digital Spy: "During Stereo Kicks' performance this evening, there was a brief disturbance on stage, which was immediately dealt with by security. The performance continued as planned."
Nelson ultimately took responsibility for the prank in a series of Twitter messages, writing: "There are so many of them I thought anyone could have a go.

Jodie Prenger and Lee Nelson have made it to the final of Let's Dance for Comic Relief.
Prenger was the first to make it through, having topped the public vote with a routine to the 1986 Cameo hit 'Word Up', in which the actress dressed as the funk group's frontman Larry Blackmon.
Judges Arlene Phillips, Greg James and Lee Mack then had to choose between Vanessa Feltz, who danced to Cher's 'If I Could Turn Back Time' in leotard and fishnet tights, and Nelson, who was joined by Britain's Got Talent stars Twist & Pulse for a hip-hop spin on Tchaikovsky's 'Swan Lake'. The trio eventually decided to save Nelson.
Newsreaders Ore Oduba and Sonali Shah and ventriloquist Nina Conti received the fewest public votes and were automatically eliminated.

Digital Spy snuck into BBC Television Centre yesterday (February 28) for an exclusive preview of this week's Let's Dance for Comic Relief performances.
Vanessa Feltz, Lee Nelson and Britain's Got Talent duo Twist and Pulse, ventriloquist Nina Conti and Newsround presenters Ore Oduba and Sonali Shah showed off their moves during last-minute rehearsals for tomorrow's (March 2) show.
Asked to sum up her dance, 51-year-old Feltz promised an "arousing" and "near the knuckle" display, saying: "I'm going to bare almost all my buttocks and thighs and breasts and just everything else I've got going on."
She added: "Lady GaGa's followers, once they've seen me doing this, I'm going to exceed her."
Oduba commented that his dance with Shah would feature "a lot of shaking from downtown" and "thrusting", while Conti - accompanied by her ape acquaintance Monk - predicted that hers would be a "disaster".

Comedian Lee Nelson was arrested after a DVD stunt involving a fake policeman backfired. Simon Brodkin, in character as Lee Nelson, was being chased by an actor in a police uniform after pretending to steal a copy of his DVD from an HMV store in London. The scene spilled outside of the shop and even caused traffic to grind to a halt in Oxford Street. After a brief scuffle, the comedian was escorted back into the shop and forced onto the ground. Comedy star Lee Nelson and his best pal Omelette took to the stage on tonight’s Let’s Dance For Comic Relief.
Lee is of course a character created by comedian Simon Brodkin. The BBC Three comedy show Lee Nelson’s Well Good Show centres around the happy go-lucky chavvy Londoner.
Tonight Lee and Omelette danced to Club Tropicana and after seeing Nelson’s tight white speedos’ we wanted to scratch out our eyes! Though we did further inspect the sight and either those trunks were stuffed or Lee is boasting quite a package!
There wasn’t a whole lot of rhythm during the performance but between Lee, Omelette and the scantily clad backing dancers there was a lot of gyrating and ogling!
John Bishop laughed: “I thought Omlette you’ve done well for the fashion industry to show that stripes do make you look thinner. And they way you performed was superb.

Lee Nelson’s Well Good Show starts on BBC3 tonight. But is Simon Brodkin’s modestly titled show actually any good? Lee Nelson, Simon Brodkin’s comic alter-ego, is a cheeky Saaath Laaandon scamp, a pwopah geezer who tries to replicate the cringe-worthy success of Sacha Bohen Coren’s Ali G incarnation, but fails so miserably that his Well Good Comedy could feasibly be employed as an alternative to water-boarding.
