The official cause of death for David Gail, 58, the former “Port Charles” and “Beverly Hills, 90210” actor who died last month after being found unresponsive by emergency personnel, has been determined, reports Deadline via a statement released by the late actor’s mother, Mary Painter.
According to a toxicology report, Gail’s cause of death has been determined to be the result of “brain and heart complications following drug intoxication involving amphetamines, cocaine, ethanol and fentanyl,” the outlet reported on Friday. The causing condition was anoxic-ischemic encephalopathy (a brain injury due to lack of blood flow) following resuscitation from cardiopulmonary arrest due to drug intoxication.
Following reports of Gail’s death, TMZ, citing law enforcement, reported that the actor died of a possible drug overdose, with his death under investigation by police, pending toxicology testing. No foul play was suspected.

Jean Veloz, the innovative Lindy Hop dancer who dazzled in Swing Fever and other Hollywood musicals of the 1940s, has died. She was 98.
Veloz died Sunday at her home in Los Angeles, her friend, agent and manager Rusty Frank told The Hollywood Reporter. Frank co-produced the 2010 event A Tribute to the Groovie Movie, which celebrated Veloz and her contribution to dance.
“Jean innovated a style of swing dance that was admired around the world,” Frank said. “It was silky smooth and greatly contrasted the more jitterbug style prevalent during the 1930s-’40s.”
Generations of dancers idolized her.
In MGM’s Swing Fever (1943), Veloz whirled with servicemen portrayed by Lennie Smith and Don Gallagher in the high-octane number “One Girl and Two Boys,” accompanied by Kay Kyser’s band and sandwiched between Marilyn Maxwell’s singing.
She also did the jitterbug in Where Are Your Children? (1943), starring Jackie Cooper; danced with...

Volleyball players are simultaneously electrocuted on the beach during a fundraiser and the CSIs must probe the questions of how, why and by whom? Strange how whenever someone needs help how people can only stand around and watch for ages, until someone shouts the "Call 911" for help. Jesse (Eddie Cibrian) informs Horatio (David Caruso) they can't investigate until Hazmet gives the all-clear for the bodies to be removed. They suspect bio or chemical terrorism. Horatio is right when he comments they're dealing with something more personal. Trace collection reveals some blue crystals in the sand, which Ryan (Jonathan Togo) thinks being corrosion, only there's no pipe. The crystals appear to be copper sulphate and they shouldn't be there, since Ryan tells us they're found in dyes and pigments. Thus more puzzles for the case. Dean Collins (John Terry) owns the property and his wife, Amanda (Cheryl Ladd) organizes the charity fundraiser.
